Some of you may know me as I write on other couples, but this is my first ever piece of writing on Mayur.
I hope you like it!
Cheers!

Arranged ya Love
"Mom, I'm only 24 years old, I'm not ancient yet." she rolled her eyes as her mom continued to lecture her on the phone.
"Nupur Bhushan. When I was 24 years old, I already had you and was pregnant again by then. And look at you, still studying studying studying."
"So what? I'll get married when I'm good and ready, and find the perfect guy for myself."
"I don't know about you finding any guy, but your Masi found one for you. He's the son of one of her colleagues at work, and says they're a nice family-"
"Maaa. No. Way. Nope, not at all. I don't agree. I'm not marrying that guy."
"Yes. Yes you are. I'll get your Masi to talk to them and we will set up a time for us to meet. He's supposed to be a wonderrrful boy, just completed his Ph.D in biochemistry researching -I don't all that science wience-, but very intelligent boy, makes lots of money. He'll keep you happy."
"Moooom" she groaned, "I don't really care about what he does for a living. He can be a janitor but I have to like him, don't you think?"
"Nupur, you can only decide if you like him AFTER you see him right? So just listen to me for once and be a good girl and come home when I tell you to."
"Right, ok Mom. We'll see when the time comes. I'll talk to you soon. Love you." she sighed into the phone. Her mom was definitely not one to give up when she wanted something. It would be best to agree right now and just move on with life.
"Bye betaa. Oh! I'm so excited. My daughter's getting married. Oh by the way, his name, is Mayank Sharma. Such a wonderful name right?"
And with these words, her mother hung up the phone, not even choosing to slightly hear the hesitance and reluctance and exasperation in her daughter's voice.
Meanwhile, Nupur just flopped down on her bed picking up the Patients Files that were lying on the table to study them.
"Mayank Sharma or President of Burma, who cares?" she thought to herself, before flipping the files open and immersing herself in Case Studies of Cancer patients.

Later:
Nupur was bored, finally a day off from the hospital. She was in her 4th year in Medical School, meaning she was doing rounds at the local hospital and was termed an intern, the bottom of the hospital food chain, and worked any and all hours.
"Mayank Sharma?" she questioned herself, as she came upon a friend request from this guy on her Facebook Account. She looked through his profile pictures, a handsome guy, muscular, seemingly intelligent in one picture with his graduation robes from Harvard University, and Indian. Gosh he seemed perfect, if only she knew who he was! Who in the name of heaven was this guy?
She sent him a Private Message, before accepting his request:
Hi!
I just saw that you added me as a friend. Not to be rude or anything, but, do I know you?
~Nupur Bhushan
********
The next day, she logged on to her Facebook account to see a reply from the Mayank Sharma. Usually when she got friend requests from people she did not know, she always messaged them, and they never replied. But this, this was a first for sure!
She clicked on the Read Message tab:
Hi Nupur,
I'm Mayank, Mayank Sharma (Well obviously, you saw my profile) And to answer your question, No, we don't know each other personally, and so you weren't rude at all.
I don't know if your parents told you or not, but supposed we both are supposed to be "seeing" each other in two weeks, so our parents can decide whether or not they want us to get married to each other.
Well, I don't know about you, but I was quite uncomfortable with just seeing you that day and then being forced to make a decision (Knowing my mom, it would have been a Yes on that day itself). So i thought, why not get to know each other, just a little, before we figure out if we even want to meet each other.
Let me know what you think, and well I'll be waiting for your response.
-Mayank Sharma
OHH! So this was THAT Mayank Sharma, the man that was the son of the woman that worked in the same office as her mom's sister. Phew! That was a mouthful.
"Hmm. He seems pretty cute, not too weird looking and hey, he thought about me too. Why not? It's not like I'm going to actually say yes to the relationship anyways, but it wouldn't hurt to know the guy and not awkwardly sit around the day of the Meeting."
And so she clicked on Reply:
Hi Mayank,
My apologies for not recognizing you before. My mother did mention your name, but it just completely seemed to have slipped my mind.
And hmm I actually like your idea of getting to know each other, even if it's just as friends before we jump into something else.
So....I guess I'll start. Hi! I'm Nupur Sharma, and I'm currently in my 4th year at the School of Medicine at the University of Virginia.
Well, that was the bio-data part that you probably already knew about lol.
Looking forward to hearing form you soon,
~Nupur
Sent! She looked on with a smile on her face. God, I must be crazy. Getting to know this man before I meet him and everything, and telling him about myself!
Let's see where this goes.
**********
Mayank stared at the computer screen in front of him. She had actually replied to his crazy message and agreed! When he had first decided to send her a message, he was so hesitant, and unsure. It was just too awkward for him to introduce himself to her as one of her potential future marriage partners.
Like seriously, how awkward is that!
Glancing through the message, a smile just appeared. Of course he knew she was a medical school student! And he sure liked intelligent people. Plus her profile picture just captured his attention. She had the most breath taking eyes, just captured his attention immediately.
"Mayank, hurry up! We have five minutes before the lunch break is over you idiot!" yelled out one of his colleagues.
"Coming, just give me a minute!"
Quickly hitting the reply button, Mayank typed out his message.
Hi Nupur!
Glad you liked the idea :) Hmm, I have to say, cute little bio-data, and it helps that we're on facebook, so now we don't even have to worry about sending pictures and everything.
Let's see, a little about myself.
Mayank Sharma. 26 years old, Ph.D. in Biochemistry and well researching the properties of hexafluorane molecules and their impact on the cells of the elastic cartilage in the larynx.
Wow, that was a lot, and you probably don't care at all. Sorry about boring you!
Well, actually I'm going to go write now, I'm at a conference in Hawaii. So boring I tell you.
Bye!
-Mayank

Nupur was sitting on break in the coffee shop at the hospital, checking her mail, when she got a notification from Facebook, saying that Mayank Sharma had sent her a message.
Excited, she hurriedly logged on to her facebook account, eager to read his reply.
This guy was just too cute! And damn, Ph.D. Why wasn't she paying attention when her mother told her all this?! And aww a guy interested in the sciences! perfect, just perfect.
"Woah Nupur, Stop thinking that much. Perfect? Perfect for what? Surely not you. You don't even know the guy!"
********
So how does their little journey progress?
Well, That is the story!
