CHAPTER 4 She entered the cabin with a sigh. This single sigh was an outward sign of inward turmoil. She looked around the room which she would share with another doctor while mentoring 4 new interns. She sighed again. What had she aimed for and where has she landed? Flunging her sthetho on the table along with her lab coat, she went in the wash room. She stood before the mirror and like she had been doing frequently, began analyzing her life. Dr. Anjali Gupta. A girl with high ambitions and higher confidence of achieving them. A girl who had her entire life mapped out. Plan: graduate MBBS with distinction, complete internship from Sanjeevani, get MD Medicine from AIIMS and then specialize in cardio from John Hopkins. Reality: only the first two were done and somehow the rest was crossed out. Now she, who had dreamt of a great career, had nothing to boast about. She was one among many. She splashed water on her face and gave a wry smile remembering her ever positive sister's words. Light will shine at the end of the tunnel. Time to face a new day in a new way. Soon as she walked out, she came face to face with Sanjeevani's own Rakhi Sawant - Dr. Maya. 'Hi, was just coming to call you. I have told our group of interns to wait for us at the Nurse Station. Hope that's ok with you.' Before Anjali could form a reply, Maya had already turned to the door. 'Come soon, we're waiting for you.' With that she was gone. Anjali smirked. This female definitly needed a shot of Anji's Attitude. Having decided that, she too left the cabin.
