Part 3

Prem was mad as hell and frustrated and wanted to kill the beast himself.

Prem 'Meher you don't have to come to office for a few days. Take care of Heer and leave the rest to me. I will see to it that beast rots in hell. Try and talk to Heer about giving the statement. Try to find out why isn't she interested in giving her statement.'

Meher 'thank you Prem. Don't worry I will be coming to office tomorrow.'

Prem 'If you will come to office tomorrow then who will take care of Heer. Don't worry I can manage without you for a few days.'

Meher 'ok thanks once again Prem.'

Prem 'don't you ever think of thanking me again.'

Meher 'yes boss' smiling despite the problem.

Prem could not sleep at night thinking what kind of man is Rampal –who behaves like this with there life partner. Prem was pacing around like a caged tiger who couldn't do a thing unless and until Heer will give her statement. He wanted to see the beast crying for mercy who gave so much pain to his friend and her angel sister. Prem could not get the image Heer lying so lifeless, so frightened , so fragile. It kept haunting him whole of the night the way Heer was crying and the way she was saying 'don't beat me Rampal I will do everything you say.'

Next day he contacted the best lawyers in town to work on Heer's case. He knew he was going beyond limits and have not consulted Meher for it but he wanted Heer free from Rampal's clutches as soon as possible. He felt he have to do this much for Meher and flso for the sake of humanity. Everyday evening for a few days he used to visit Meher and was relieved to hear that Heer was recovering slowly but she was not at all ready to give her statement against Rampal. Everyday she used to scream in her dreams and once got more afraid seeing Prem in the room. So he never used to go in front of her.

After two weeks Heer healed fully from outside but within she was sore. She started trusting Prem and was friendly with him within a few days. He used to talk to her help her in walking properly, took both Meher and Heer for outings but always felt that Heer never opened up freely with him.

One evening when he went to Meher's apartment he rang bell many times but no one answered. He felt a wave of panick. Then he thought he was worrying for no reason. Meher and Heer must have gone out. He went back and sat in his car and was about to drive back to his apartment when his mobile phone rang . He checked the caller id and saw it was Meher. Smiling he picked up the phone and was horror struck when he heard Meher crying hysterically and unable to speak anything clearly.

Prem ' Meher what happened ? why are you crying? Where are you? Stopping crying and tell me what happened. I am not able to understand a word.'

Meher 'Prem where are you? '

Prem 'Meher I am outside you apartment. I rang the bell but no one answered. Where are you?'

Meher' Prem was that you outside my apartment. Come inside I will open the door.'

Prem 'ok.'

When Meher opened the door she quickly drew in Prem and shut the door abruptly. She was shaking and crying badly. Panic rose in Prem and couldn't find Heer. He was worried what if something wrong had happened. He asked Meher what was it? Why was she crying?

Meher ' he was here Prem. Rampal came her to take back Heer. When I refused to open the door he started banging the door and calling bad names loudly. He said he is watching us and won't leave without taking Heer back with her. I could feel him him try talking to other people in the building to ask me to open the gate. When Heer heard his face she panicked and fainted . I didn't knew how to manage him. So I locked the door and took care of Heer. Right now she is sleeping in her room. I have given her sedatives so that she can sleep soundly. I am very afraid Prem. I don't know what to do. So when you knocked on the door I thought he has come back. So I remembered if I will call police he will say that no one can stop him from taking his wife home. So I thought of calling you and somehow I knew you will be here to help us. Tell me Prem what should I do. I cannot allow to go back with that beast.'

Prem was angry beyong limits how dare Rampal trouble the two angels of his life. He will soon have to deal with Rampal otherwise Meher and Heer wont be safe. H e will have to think of a way but right now his priority is to get Meher and Heer to a safe place. So without giving a single thought he set into action .

Prem ' Meher pack yours and Heer's thing. You both are going with me. I can't afford to loose my two best friends. I don't want to hear anything. Just pack your bags. You are not coming back here until and unless I get that Rampal behind bars.'

Then he took out his phone and dialed his best friend Nihaal's no.

Prem ' hi Nihaal , Prem here,. Listen I don't have time for formalities I need a favour and its urgent. Listen I am giving you an address reach there as soon as possible and see to it there is not one around lurking behind any thing and keeping an eye on this address. I will explain you later on what is going on. Ya reach fast as soon as you can. Inform me when you have made a thorough check.'
