KSBKBT FF: The broken ties Part1 : Gunjan threatens Bhoomi Pg1
Part 13
At night both of them could not sleep. It was bizarre, Angad reflected. He'd known her such a short time and yet, somehow, she had become so important to him. And it wasn't just lust, though he was beset with lust the entire time he was with her. That mouth of hers would be the death of him yet.
He groaned just thinking of how she'd tasted, her sweet, frantic response. She'd almost dissolved right there in his arms. Had they not been standing, she might have been his yet.
After so short an acquaintance he had no business thinking the thoughts he was thinking, or making the plans he was making. But he seemed to be making them anyway. He couldn't seem to help it.
All unknowing, like a sniper in the dark, she'd taken him neatly in the heart.
He'd had no idea it could happen like that. He'd never had plans to settle down again.
Marriage? Surely he wasn't. He couldn't be.
Marriage was for fools who fell in love.
As for being one of those poor fools who fell in love, he'd never imagined it could happen to him. Had planned never to allow it. People in love could do terrible things to each other, and innocents suffered when they did.
All he knew was that every time he looked at her he wanted to touch her, taste her, hold her. And every instinct he had was screaming at him not to let her go.
On other hand Kripa who was once burned was amazed and angry at herself for reacting so strongly to Angad. She was angry that despite what all she has gone through her treacherous body could allow anything intimate to happen and to such extent that she never that kiss to end. Indeed her body and soul was craving for more and more of that closeness and the sense of security that only Angad could provide. Would she react like this all the time once she got married to Angad. Marriage?..........woahhhh!!!!!! now where this marriage thing came from.
Even though her body was saying something she could not give in to these temptations and risk her heart and soul again like once she did.
So keeping her brain shutter back in place she tossed all the idiotic love thoughts out of the window and went to sleep.
For days Kripa avoided Angad as best she could. One night she went with Julia to celebrate Julia's engagement. There though those two did their best to include her in talk but Kripa could feel that these two people would like to have some privacy. So she made an excuse of headache and proceeded to leave the restaurant. On her way out suddenly she was caught by wrist by a drunken boy and before she could do more than a lift a finger to free herself the boy was pulled back with such force that left her staggering backwards towards the door. It was Angad on other side and by his expression Kripa knew she better not speak anything. She didn't want to face Angad right in this mood so she hurried from the restaurant without glancing back. She was about to hail a cab back home when she sensed Angad right behind her. At the same moment the taxi stopped and Angad said that they wont be needing one. When she opened her mouth to answer, he stepped back, bent over at the waist, and, to the sound of her surprised squeak, tossed her up over his shoulder.
'Angad! Put me down!'
'Nope.' He hoisted her up a little more as he stood tall, so that her stomach rested on his shoulder, both his arms wrapped around the backs of her knees to hold her in place, and her head dangled upside down facing his back.
Then he started walking down the street.
Kripa heard laughter as they passed people. Scowling, she tried to struggle free, kicking out her feet, 'Put me down!'
'Stop jiggling, woman. You'll make yourself sick after all that food.'
It would serve him right if she threw up all over the back of his designer suit! She attempted to look from side to side, the end of her upside-down pony-tail flicking up into her eyes. 'Angad where are you taking me?'
'I am taking you back to my place and we need to talk .Complain all you want, Sharma.'
'You can't carry me all the way back to your place—you'll have a heart attack.'
'I'll have you know I'm in great physical health, thank you.' She felt his head nod against her hip. 'Good evening, nice night, isn't it?'
And now he was talking to passers-by about the weather? She really should've wanted to kill him. But instead she felt a bubble of half-hysterical laughter building in her chest. It was the most ridiculous situation she'd ever found herself in—and that was saying something!
The laughter escaped. 'You are not a nice person!'
'I happen to think I'm adorable.'
She laughed again. 'Please put me down, you moron.'
'I'll put you down on my apartment floor.'
She moved her head from side to side to see if anyone had heard him, knowing she couldn't blame the heat rising on her cheeks entirely on all the blood rushing to her head. But they were already turning off the end of Street and Angad was marching them past Trinity. He really did have abnormal stamina, didn't he?
Admitting defeat, she attempted to make herself more comfortable for the journey, propping her elbow on his back so she could rest her chin on her hand. She flicked her pony-tail out of the way and when a passing car beeped its horn, she waved at the driver with her free hand, not bothering to look to see if they waved back.
'Hey, Aayush, how you doing?' Angad stopped walking and Kripa attempted to see who he was talking to. Whoever it was was obviously someone he knew well, judging by the friendly tone of his voice.
A similarly deep voice answered with an amused edge, 'Grand. I've just dropped some estimates through your door for the Gallery job.'
'That was quick.'
'I was out that way this afternoon on another job, so I took a look at the place.' There was a pause. 'So who's your friend?'
Kripa raised her voice. 'Yes, please feel free to introduce me. Or just pretend I'm not here, whatever suits best. Don't mind me.'
'Sorry.' Angad swung round a little. 'Aayush, Kripa Sharma. Kripa is a dear dear friend rather I say my best friend. Aayush is the contractor for a project, and an old friend from way back.'
'You have my sympathy.' She reached her hand out and had it shaken by what felt like a ridiculously large hand. She even had to crane her head round to a painful angle to look all the way up at him, 'Wow, you're tall, aren't you?'
'Next to this squirt, I am.' Amazingly blue eyes sparkled at her when he leaned down. 'He giving you trouble?'
The six foot one 'squirt'? She sighed dramatically. 'You have no idea.'
'You need me to sort him out for you?'
'Would you?'
Angad hoisted her up again. 'When you two have finished flirting with each other…'
Aayush stood tall, his voice laced with a more distinct humor. 'I have to say I'm impressed, squirt. You couldn't have carried her like that when we were kids.'
'She'd have been too big when I was a kid.'
'Hey! I'll have you know I'm the ideal weight for my height. I have a color chart and everything.'
There was the sound of joint male laughter and Kripa felt her stomach jiggled as Angad's shoulders shook. She even giggled herself. There wasn't much else she could do.
Aayush leaned down again. 'Nice meeting you, Kripa. I have a feeling I'll be seeing you again.'
Angad swung her away before she could answer. 'Probably at the party at the tail end of next month—if we don't see you at the hotel.'
'Nah, they don't need me down there. I've moved on to the housing development outside town. So I'll see you both at the party, then.'
'Bye, Kripa.'
Angad grumbled again and tossed her a little higher and said 'Stop thinking about it and relax, Sharma.'
Damn! How did he know that? Sometimes he could be such a—
'And stop calling me names in your head. I can hear you.'
Soon they reached his apartment building and he with the support of one hand held her and opened the door to let the both in. He quickly but gently tossed Kripa onto the sofa like a sack of potatoes and before they could say a single word the doorbell chimed again.
Angad 'this better be good and you Kripa sit still where you are.'
When he opened the door he was met with a young woman and a small girl about the age of 2years. There was also a dog with them size as big of a tiger.
Angad 'can I help you young lady?'
Lady 'Mr.Khanna I am Rosie and this is your daughter Diya Khanna. Yours and Mishty's daughter.'
Angad was stunned to dead for a minute and the slammed the door and walked back.
