Part 9

Angad did his best to help Kripa out. He provided her with a full new wardrobe and though Kripa was reluctant to accept anything Angad as usual with his charm persuaded her to accept.

They became more and more bestest friends with each coming day. They shared same interests in sports, ideas and same view of life.

One day when Angad returned from his office he didn't find Kripa anywhere so headed where he was sure he would find her – in her room and doing the worst thing he didn't like watching documentaries. It used to irritate the hell out of him.

KRIPA

'It's open!' I called out when I heard a knock at my door. I was too engrossed in a documentary about Pyramids to answer it.

The door opened, and revealed my best friend Angad. He walked in and grinned. 'I thought you'd be in kitchen by now.'

'I am not going right now!' I protested with a mouth full of salt and vinegar chips.

Angad laughed and leaned on the back of the television. 'Yes but I am hungry so I need food to eat.'

'Well then I'm sorry I didn't cook fast enough for you.' I stuffed more chips into my mouth.

'You know, you're going to get fat if you keep on eating like that.'

'Oh yeah, that's the way to make a girl feel good about herself.'

He straightened and ran his hand through his hair. 'Kidding, Kripa. But seriously, will you get up?'

'And do what?'

'Oh I don't know...Live?'

'Well I'm breathing and I'm pretty sure that qualifies for living.'

'Haha, very funny. How about you get off and come to eat with me?'

'I'm busy.'

'What, learning about the origins of Pyramids? Come on Kripa, some movement will be good for you. You know very well that I hate this habbit of yours of eating and eating all the time and seriously it amazes me that inspite of eating like a pig you don't put on weight at all. '

I groaned. 'But I haven't watched this one!' I loved documentaries like this. I could watch them all day.

Angad grinned and flicked the power button off. He laughed when he saw my jaw had dropped.

'I already recorded in my room. Come on.'

I crossed my arms and raised a brow. 'You really recorded it?'

He nodded. 'It was on last night too. I knew you'd watch it. Now, let's go. I'm starving.'

I smiled and held out my hands. 'Help me.'

Angad laughed and grabbed hold off my hands. 'You're so lazy, Kripa.' He said as he pulled me up.

'First I'm fat now I'm lazy. Yep, you've definitely got a way with words there.'

He chuckled and said what can I say that's my charm and I know you are nuts about me.' He finished with a wink. Kripa couldn't help rolling her eyes and muttered 'ya ! ya! Over confident.'

One day when Angad was listening to a beautiful song and he said ' Kripa this is our song. We are best friends and will always remain best friends.( guys I am telling beforehand the song below isn't written by me……I read it somewhere on net and I found it really touching so I am including this song here. I am openly saying it isn't my creation so please anyone don't go till moderators saying I copied. I don't the writer for this song so please.)

Kripa
Angad was crazy. Every other week he used to have a new girlfriend. His latest was Simon and this time she was the first one I have seen who lasted more than one month. So I thought he must be pretty serious about her. But whenever she used to come home with Angad I used to feel uncomfortable. Simon and I didn't get on extremely well. But that didn't matter. I mean, she was nice and all, but something between us just didn't work. We were more acquaintances than friends.

I hope someday I'll get to know her better!

. 'I don't really know her. But she kind of reminds me of barbie. Except lifesize.' It was so true. And that was my first thought when I met her. She reminded me of barbie because of her perfect black hair. And she seemed so perfect too. She was beautiful, rich and really kind. She was like one of those characters in movies who people hated because she was perfect but really nice at the same time. Except I didn't hate her. I had no reason to.

I used to try to be never at home whenever Simon used to visit Angad home. I used to give lame excuses like I have some records for the sales of boutique and whenever it was late I used to duck in my room saying that I wanted to watch a very interesting documentary playing one on discovery channel. Angad slowly realized that I was avoiding Simon and he really wished that we both could get along.
