CHAPTER- 10 Part- A
HOLI CELEBRATIONS
Samrat woke up very early next morning. Holi was his favouraite festival, as he got a nice chance on this festival to irritate people, and irritating his loved ones was his favouraite hobby!
He slowly came in nupur's room, taking some colours in his hand. He then slowly moved the blanket from her face, and brought his hands forward to put those colours on her face, but before he could do that, nupur opened her eyes and threw green colour on him.
"happy holi mere sweet bhai!!!!" nupur screamed happily and moved out of bed.
"that's not fair!! Pehle main colour lagaata hun na? Aur ab main bada ho raha hun, so stop calling me sweet!" samrat said in an angry kiddish tone.
"achha? Ye kaisa naya rule hai? Main pehle wish nahi kar sakti kya? And by the way, tum mere liye hamesha chhote rahoge!" nupur grinned and ran from there.
"Tum ruko abhi!" samrat ran after her.
They came in hall, running and breathing heavily. While nupur threw cushions on him, he threw those cushions back on nupur itself.
"Bachchon ki tarah ladai kar rahe ho aur kehte ho ki main bada ho gaya hun!" nupur shouted and kept on running.
"achha? Tumhari to shaadi hone waali hai! ab bolo, kaun zyada immature hai!" samrat ran behind her.
Vidya came in the hall, and was angry to see both her children running in the house like small kids.
"ye'.kya tareeka hai holi khelne ka?" she yelled.
"mom aap nupur ko kabhi kuchh nahi kehti hain!" samrat said.
"wo tumse pehle meri mom hain, kyunki tumse pehle main born hui thi!" nupur smiled widely.
Nupur came to Vidya and hid behind her. Samrat stopped there.
"ab mom ke peechhe kyun chhup rahi ho miss Darpok shergill?" samrat grinned.
"ab mujhe rang laga ke dikhao to main maan jaaun!" nupur smiled.
"jao, main tumhe rang nahi lagane wala!" samrat said sadly, and turned behind to go. As he turned behind with a naughty smile on his lips, nupur came in front of Vidya.
"thank god! Mom jab samrat paida hua tha to doctors ne warning nahi di thi ki'"
"happy holi nupur!!!!" samrat quickly ran to nupur and put colours on her. She was irritated, and took some colours to put on his face.
"happy holi to you too!" nupur smiled and hugged him.
Samrat hugged her back.
"waise jab tumhe pata tha ki hamesha ki tarah main tumhare room mein tumhe holi wish karne aaunga, to fir tum pehle hi kyun nahi chhup gayi?" samrat asked, breaking the hug.
"agar chhup jaati, to fir wo maza nahi aata jo is tarah bhaagne mein aur ek dusre par rang daalne se aaya!" nupur smiled.
Bhushan's Home-
"aaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!" uday screamed from his washroom.
"ye kya tha?" gunjan got scared.
"gunjan, ye hamare action ka reaction tha! You see, Newton's third law of motion!" dia smiled. "chalo dodo ke room mein chalte hain!"
Both the girls leave from the hall.
"kal raat mere kamre mein chor aaya tha, aur mujhe pata hi nahi?? Ye kaisa chor hai, jo holi khel kar chala gaya! Silly chor!" uday came out of washroom and stood in front of mirror, when suddenly dia and gunjan came there with a bucket of colourful water, and before uday could protest, the girls threw that water on him.
"happy holi uday bhaiyya!" gunjan screamed happily.
"gunjan, tum to meri sweet sister ho na? Fir bhi mere upar paani daal dia?" uday spoke, trying to remove colour from his face and hands.
"sorry uday bhaiyya, lekin holi ke din main itni bhi sweet nahi hoti!" gunjan smiled.
"aur dids tum? Tumhe to aise colours se allergy hoti hai na?"
"Dodo, allergy mujhe hai, tumhe nahi!" she smiled looking at gunjan. "Aur waise bhi, agar holi ke din rang nahi lagayenge, to kya diwali mein lagayenge?"
Uday looked at both the girls, and made a cute angry face.
"aaawwww dodo tum naraaz kyun hote ho??" dia came to him.
"happy holi dids!!!" uday quickly took some colours and put on dia's cheeks. At first she was annoyed, but then hugged uday.
"mujhe rang nahi lagaoge uday bhaiyya??" gunjan said looking at him.
"tumhe?" uday slowly came close to her. "tum par to main poora ka poora plate daalunga!" uday quickly took a plate of colours and put it on gunjan through her hair.
"ab ye hai meri do colourful sisters!" uday laughed.
"guys, abhi bahut ho gaya. Hume taiyyar bhi toh hona hai!" dia spoke.
"kyun??" gunjan asked removing the colours from her hair.
"bhool gayi kya? Sammy ke ghar jana hai na? Aur''.usne ESPECIALLY kisi ko invite kiya hai!" dia grinned looking at gunjan.
"a'..theek hai'..main'.taiyyar hone jaati hun." Gunjan blushed and left from there.
In Shergill's Mansion-
Nupur was checking each and every arrangement for the holi celebrations. She loved to manage such arrangements, and so she wished to do so in the holi party.
But poor mayank, who arrived at shergill's mansion early so as to romance his lady love, but she was busy checking the arrangements!
"nupur, tum saari cheezein itni dhyaan se kyun dekh rahi ho, jaise samrat ki shaadi ki arrangements hain?" mayank walked behind nupur.
"ye sawaal tum samrat se hi puchho to achha hai. Tum use jaante ho na? Use bhaang itna pasand hai jitna''thumps up ke ad mein akshay kumar ko thumps up pasand hai! Isliye main bina bhaang waali thandai ko bhaang waali se alag jagah pe rakh rahi hun." nupur said worriedly.
All the guests had arrived there. Everyone was enjoying the party, except for samrat, whose eyes were searching only for gunjan. After every 10 minutes, he went out, to check whether she came or not. But every time he returned back with a sad face, as there was no sign of her.
"Ab jabtak chashmish andar nahi aayegi, main bahar nahi jaunga!" samrat said in slight anger, and sat on bed with folded legs like a kid.
Gunjan, dia and uday had arrived. While dia and uday went to greet mayank, nupur and their college friends, gunjan met Vidya, who was serving sweets to the guests.
"Namaste aunty." Gunjan spoke in her sweetest voice.
"Are gunjan, tu aa gayi!" Vidya smiled at her. "lekin tumhari dadi saath nahi aayi? Samrat to keh raha tha ki wo bhi aayengi."
"actually wo hamare ek padosi ke saath mandir gayi hain. Isliye wo nahi aayi." Gunjan replied, looking here and there, as if she was searching something.
"pata hai, samrat savere se tumhare intezaar mein pagalon ki tarah andar se bahar aa raha hai!" Vidya laughed.
Gunjan smiled in reply, but her eyes were searching for samrat. She wished to get a glimpse of him in the crowd atleast, but in vain. Vidya noticed this.
"kya hua beta, kisi ko dhoond rahi ho?" Vidya asked.
"samjha karo na maan! Jo isko dhoond raha hai, ye usi ko dhoond rahi hai!" nupur came to them.
"matlab?"
"samrat ise dhoond raha hai, aur ye samrat ko!" nupur looked at gunjan teasingly, who blushed and looked down.
"wo to gusse se apne room mein baitha hai. Kehta hai ki jabtak gunjan room mein nahi aayegi, wo room se bahar nahi aayega!" Vidya said, and moved from there.
"samrat, mujhse naraaz to nahi hai na?" gunjan said sadly under her breathe.
"hmm'..wo tumse naraaz nahi hoga!" nupur said, as she heard what gunjan said to herself. "tum ek kaam karo, jaakar usse uske room mein hi mil lo. Tumhe dekh kar wo bahut khush hoga." Nupur smiled naughtily and moved from there.
Nupur came to a corner and sent a text to samrat-
'tumhari pyaari chashmish aa gayi hai, thodi der mein tumhare room mein hogi. So be ready.'
Samrat replied back-
'thanks for informing, and by the way use chashmish sirf main kahunga. Tum use gunjan kaho.'
Gunjan stopped at reaching samrat's room. She stood out of the room nervously.
"main itna ghabra kyun rahi hun? Yahan pehle bhi aa chuki hun!" she thought, and slightly knocked on the door.
"door khula hai!" samrat said loudly from inside.
Gunjan slowly opened the door, and moved in. But she found no one in the room.
"are, abhi samrat ki awaaz room se hi aayi thi, fir kahan chala gaya?" gunjan thought.
She was about to move back, when samrat quickly put some colours on her face from behind. At first she screamed out of shock, but then she realised that this was samrat's naughty mind which had made up such a plan to wish her holi.
"happy holi chashmish!!" samrat stood happily in front of her.
"samrat!! Tum bahut bure ho. Mujhe itni zor se lag gayi!" gunjan said, caressing her cheeks.
"oops! Im sorry''zyada dard ho raha hai?" samrat went near her to see, but gunjan quickly took colours from his hands and threw on his face. He was surprised by this reaction of gunjan.
"ye kya kiya?" samrat asked in a cute angry tone.
"har action ka equal aur opposite reaction hota hai. Newton's third law of motion!" gunjan smiled widely.
"chashmish plz. Aaj ke din physics chemistry ko chhod do!" samrat pleaded sweetly.
"happy holi samrat!" she smiled at him.
Samrat and gunjan reached down, to celebrate holi with others. Gunjan was standing alone in a corner, when samrat came to her.
S- yahan akeli kyun khadi ho?
G- sab kitne ajeeb lag rahe hain rang laga ke''mujhe to uday bhaiyya pehchaan mein hi nahi aa rahe hain!
S- Mumbai ki holi aisi hi hoti hai chashmish'.ya fir kaho ki samrat ki holi aisi hoti hai! (winks)
G- achha?
"haan! And I bet, agar tum mere rang mein nahi rangi, to mera naam bhi samrat shergill nahi!" samrat winked and moved from there.
Gunjan started looking for him, when she saw him singing and coming towards her.
Rang rang mere rang rang mein rang jaayegi tu rang (samrat came to gunjan with colours in his hands)
Sang sang mere sang sang mein sang aayegi sang (gunjan tries to run from there, but samrat pulls her and puts pink colour on her cheeks)

behind her)
Sang sang mere sang sang mein sang aayega sang (she threw those colours on samrat and ran from there)
Rang sang mera mil jaayega, ang ang tera khil jaayega (samrat shook his shoulders with gunjan's)

Honton pe hai ek pukaar, dil mein hai dard-e-izhaar (gunjan teased nupur by gesturing to mayank)

"Mayank!! Mayank!!" nupur screamed a bit loudly, as there was a lot of noise.
"kya hua??" mayank asked, still dancing."wo dekho!" nupur pointed towards the stall, where samrat was drinking thandai. "maine kaha tha na, wo bhaang zarur piyega!" she was worried."isme nayi baat kya hai?" mayank smiled.But suddenly, his smile disappeared as he saw gunjan drinking the thandai in another corner."aaj zarur kuchh gadbad hone waala hai!" mayank said to nupur, looking at gunjan."matlab?""udhar dekho!!" mayank turned nupur towards gunjan. nupur was shocked to see that scene."iska matlab''.samrat aur gunjan''..dono hi gaye kaam se!!!" nupur said out of shock.
