Chapter4

No! He must have heard soemthing wrong. It cannot be geet.. She never wished to return... but what if she had, what if she still loved him, what if... Maan suddenly realized that Geet might have moved on.

How can she have survived 3 years on her own without a man's help? The thought of seeing Geet with another man made his heart wrench.

Everything that could have been and everything that had been... Maan made up his mind. He would not force Geet into doing anything she never wanted. If she was happy the way her life was, then he would never interfere. The only relationship they would have would be of nothing more than business..

Geet silently sat in the car as the driver drove and thought about how life had changed. Once there used to be a time when Maan would always be with her.. standing right beside her and now... A tear escaped Geet's eyes. No matter how much she tried to convince her heart, she could never forget Maan. She loved him. Nothing changed about her feelings...

Geet silently walked inside her mansion, lost in her own world... her own thoughts...

"mommy!"

she heard muskaan who ran to her to give her a hug.

"Grr! i missed you! why are you late?" She whined.... to which geet chuckled and gave her a light kiss on her cheek.

"Sorry muskaan! You forgive Mommy don't you?"
But muskaan continued to pout angrily...
"Hmm... so muski needs something to make her up..."
"yes! i want chocolates! You promised Mommmy!"
"I did?!" Geet gasped trying to look sad and that she had forgotten...
"You forgot that too?!" Muskaan innocently said with tears in her eyes....
She grumbled a "KATTI!" and turned to run away from Geet but Geet caught her little hand and took out the dairy milk she had been hiding...
"Yay! I love you mommy!" Muskaan said hugging Geet. The feeling when she felt happy and hugged her mom was unexplainable. It made geet feel that all the love in the world had come to her. "I love you too cuppycake" Geet whispered in her ear and Muskaan ran away with her toys in her room.

Geet sighed and turned around to leave when the phone rang....
"Hello?" Geet spoke...
"GEET!" Pinky yelled in the phone.
"Halke bol pinky. Kya hua? abhi tou office se nikli thi mein. "
"Woh Geet, Maan sir ne tujhe.. umm... kal subha 10 baje bulaya hai. Will you be able to ... i mean... tu..."
"Pinky... i will be there. Don't worry..."
Geet said as she hung up the phone.

She closed her eyes as she walked into the garden... The heavy raindrops reminded her of her pains...

He remembers those days in the office... That day she cried infront of him....

The day she walked out of his life... leaving nothing but darkness, pain and sorrow....

Maan closes his eyes, tears rolling down his cheeks....

He takes out the photo of his drawer of Him and Geet Mr.Chopra's parties...
Recalls Sasha saying "geet handa" when he asks who the client is....

Geet stood in the rain, her eyes closed and she could not feel herself. It was six in the evening and the sun was nowhere to be found. All there was visible was darkness and water....

"Why?" She questioned in her thoughts...

"Because you can never forget me Geet"

Geet instantly opened her eyes. It was maan. He stood infront of her, wetting himself in the rain like she was doing...
Geet couldn't breathe for a second. All she wanted was to run into his arms and forget the stupid world. Nothing else mattered! Geet sobbed as she saw him standing expressionless infront of her...

"I can't do this" She cried....

and he disappeared into thin air... "i cannot do this Maan!" She cried again and fell on her knees because she did not have the power to stand on her feet. They were too numb... and she was too. ...

*"I love you" He whispered to her picture....

Note:

I tried hard to fit a song in there! Hope it succeeded ROFL!! sorry for the shortness since i promised a long part. My academics and stupid skewl ain't letting me get to my FF.

Hope this was sort of enough to make up ;)

And you have to keep on reading to see when Maan&Geet will FINALLY meet :)
