Epilogue
Everyone clapped, cheered and wolf-whistled as the newly married couple entered the garden - hand in hand, blushing and smiling - staring in each other's eyes ... Her father immediately embraced them and together the three of them proceeded towards the center tables ... The night was filled with lights and the sky glittered with sparks and everyone could feel the love that was in the air ... All eyes admired the charming couple as they whispered sweet-nothings to each other and their faces could give the red roses a run for their money ...
Dia blinked her eyes to avoid the tears that were ready to flow out as she sat next to her best friends and finally her wishes were granted ... Benji kissed the top of her head; aware of her emotions and grinned as he saw his best friends so much in love once again ... Uday had Jhanvi sleeping in his arms and could not hold back the tears that were struggling to come out of his eyes - the forever bachelor had finally seen his dream come true with seeing the lovers unite ... Mr. Bhushan slowly wiped the tears off his eyes and silently confessed to his wife that he was really going to miss the girl sitting right next to him and was guilty that he didn't value the time he had had with her of all the years that had gone ... Placing Jhanvi in Dia's arms, Uday stood up and called for everyone's attention ...
"Ladies and gentlemen, kisi ghisi piti film ka ek dialogue hai ki jo ek dusre se saccha pyaar karte hain wo kitna bhi ek dusre se bhaag lein - har raah unhe ek dusre ke ore hi le jaayegi .. Aath saal pehle in do namuno ne ek dusre se pyaar kiya - par hum ne kabhi nahi socha tha ki inki shaadi ke liye humein aath saal intezaar karna padega ... Khair, der aaye durust aaye .. Aaj bas ek hi baat keh sakte hain ki love truly finds a way and I wish ki ye dono hamesha aise hi ek dusre ke saath haste rahein, muskuraate rahein aur zindagi bhar ek dusre ka haath thaame chalte rahein ... So, raising this toast to everlasting love of Nupur and Mayank Sharma!!"
The cheering began and as everyone rose the toast for the couple, they could not help but shed some tears - after all, it was all due ... The fate's debt was finally being paid and soon the romance filled the night as all the couples rose to dance on the tunes of their hearts ... As they looked into each other's eyes, soft smiles crept on their lips and as their breath mingled, their hearts fluttered and the world around them didn't matter anymore ... And like a clock; he leaned down on her as she leaned into him and softly he kissed her cheek before whispering, "I love you ..." She flushed and hid her face in the crook of his neck and smilingly muttered, "I love you too ..." He smiled and softly brushed his hand on her soft hair he was so fond of - relishing the bliss his heart was in ...
As she stood there admiring the the couple, a tap on her shoulder distracted her and as she turned around; furrowing her brows - her tongue tied and and she stared at the man in front of her - with her eyes as wide as saucers ... As he looked at her intently, she bit her lip and tried to control the blush - she was so sure, was creeping on her cheeks - what was she supposed to say to the person she had a huge crush ... Thankfully for her, he spoke the next moment and only she knew how she struggled to let her jaw not drop when he ever-so-sweetly said, "You know, you are looking really cute ..." and winking at her, walked away to wish the newly married couple ... She stood there smiling to herself, and as she turned around, she gasped seeing him right next to her and grinning while his eyes twinkled, "We didn't have a formal introduction, Samrat ..." he said forwarding his hand and for the first time in her life, she trembled and flushed before introducing herself, "Gunjan ..." He smiled and asked her for a dance and her heart got filled with undeniable joy ...
"Okay, everyone it's family photograph time!!" Dia announced as she, Benji, Jhanvi (who was asleep in Uday's arms), Uday, Mr. Bhushan, Mayank, Nupur, Samrat and Gunjan (the last two on the request of the bride and the groom who knew just how those two had contributed in the love story) stood together to capture the moment that will last for a lifetime ... Uday stood right next to Mayank while Dia next to Nupur and together they pressed the couple close, Benji standing next to his wife laughed at her antics while Mr. Bhushan - standing next to Benji, shook his head at the youngsters ... Uday turned around to see Samrat and Gunjan stealing each other's glances and shook his head while thinking, "Another love story in the making ..." and as the photographer announced them to be ready - Mayank leaned into Nupur and kissed her luscious lips passionately which she happily responded to with equal passion ...
He softly brushed his fingers over the picture as he recalled that beautiful night and a tear rolled down his cheek - the twinkling eyes from the picture stared back at him and the beautiful smile brought a smile on his face but he knew - this all was not real ... Neither the twinkling eyes nor that full smile would he be able to see again ... He had lost it all to the sands of time ... Two years of bliss and then all the dreams came down and as the storm hit - before he could hold on; she was taken away from him - just like that ... He sighed and let his tears fall as he sat under the tree with his back resting on the trunk - remembering some golden moments of his life which he had spent with her ... As the raindrops drenched him, he looked up in the sky and a painful smile graced his lips as he wiped his tears, "Main rone laga to tum bhi rone lag gayi?" He shook his head and delicately handling the photograph, he got up and started walking on the deserted road - walking ahead was all he could do as he waited for that one path which would lead him to her until then, he just trudged alone and as he saw the setting sun - a year after the storm, his heart still whispered,
No Road Towards You ...
