Chapter 14

Geet, wanted to avoid trouble' wherever she went, whatever she did, she would always falls in trouble.. thought geet' and maan would always be there to save her' she actually loved the fact that maan was there for her and cared for her' but for how long she thought' for how long is he going to stay with her' this marriage was based on a contract, but from the day they got engaged.. she had been getting closer to maan' that sometimes she doesn't want to leave him at all'but she knew this contract would be over soon' and then what? She will have to leave maan' the man she loved the most' and this had been troubling her for past few days, and now when she actually thought about leaving.. she couldn't actually handle it..and then she remembered how much she missed her family.. especially titu and rajji' she wanted to meet them.. but she would always remember what her darji and and brij said to her' she knew that she would never be able to step into her town again'.

Even though these matters have been troubling her' she would always showed others that she was happy' but it was hard for her to do that with maan' cz she knew that maan had a way he looked at her' which made her forget her surrounding.. and she was not sure of her self, she knew that if she faced her.. she would let everything out' and it was one thing she didn't want to do now'

she was thinking too much now thought geet' she has been trying to knead the paratha dough for the past few minutes' and then she thought of starting again' but then she suddenly felt a movement behind her, and then saw a shadow from the corner of her eye..' and she didn't know what to do, she took the first thing that came into her hand.. which was the roti roller' and turned back to hit the person who was behind her, but when she turned' she realized that it was maan'..

Maan, wanted to be home early, but nope.. he first had a confusing conversation with his bro, which he was still trying to figure out cz it was about geet' but it was interrupted by an annoying NT'and then he was stuck at traffic, and when he came home it was dinner time and he wanted be there before that, .. but when he entered the house, he realized that the dinner table was not ready, and he looked all over the house but she was missing' but then he realized that she would be in the kitchen, for the past few days she has been cooking, and every day when he came home dinner was ready' and he actually loved her food, and now he was getting used it too' he smiled at that thought and was about to enter the kitchen, and saw geet, she was lost in her thoughts again'. She had stopped all her work and kept staring at the empty space' and while maan was standing there, he realized how her face expressions changed, and he knew that something was troubling, that she was in pain, and he wanted be with her to ease her pain, but first of all he had to find out her problem'

He slowly walked towards her, but she didn't even realize that he was behind her, but when he moved closer she knew that someone was there, but she didn't know it was him, cz before he could say anything, she took a roller, she turned around to him' and then stopped' but her hand was still raised in the air with the roller' and he heard her say maan?... he knew that she was wondering how he came here'. ' geet' were u trying to kill me?' he smiled a bit, took the roller out of hand and kept it on the table which was right behind him'to make sure that she wont use it again'. She just stood there staring at him, as if she's seen a ghost.. she looked pale too' ' maan, I'm really sorry' I didn't mean to do that.. I thought it was some one else.. and I was'.' Maan knew she was troubled' her eyes were filled with tears now' he didn't even say anything and she was about to cry, what was going on?? Was it something to do with what his brother said' he kept his index finger on her lip to shut her up' and then slightly wiped away the tears that was pouring down her cheek.. ' geet what's wrong honey? U seemed to be very upset, is everything ok?' she looked at maan.. and then as if she remembered something, she ran out of the kitchen' and maan called out her name' ' geet'. Geet wait'' and followed her'.

Geet knew that maan was joking about the killing part.. but she was already upset.. so the thought of hurting maan was hard for to handle at that moment' she just couldn't look at him.. and she realized that maan was now concerned about her behavior, but she didn't want to trouble him., so the best way was to avoid him was to stay away from him, so she ran way from him' for a second she didn't know where was going' then finally thought of going to the terrace' so it would help her to get some fresh air'

While she was standing alone' all the stuff she was worried about came into her mind, the part where she would have to leave maan when the contract was over, and the fact that she missed her family, and also that maan always had office problems'cz of her.. she knew that the deal that was made with rahul was cancelled' cz of her' and all this worried her to bits'

She heard maan's footsteps.. and thought of escaping' but she was too late.. he took hold of her wrist, stopped her from running away' ' geet'. Dnt try to run away from me.. I need to talk to you'' and then he turned her around' and pulled her towards him'. oh no Now how am I going to escape?' thought geet' 'Maan' I have to go, I need go and make dinner'' and geet was about to move away, but maan pulled her back, 'make dinner? Well haven't you been doing that for the past few hours?' geet was confused how did he know that I couldn't make cz I was distracted?? ' umm' woh' i'' she actually didn't know what to say' then he said.. 'what? Geet.. u haven't been urself for the past few days, what's going on geet? What's troubling u?' he knew that she was worried over something? But how' she always avoided him.. and always made sure to, smile when he was there' but how? And maybe she looked confused'. So maan said.. ' ur wondering how I found out, rite? Well it's kind of obvious geet' even if u smile in front of me, I know it's fake.. cz I cn read ur eyes' it tells me everything' and I cn tell u that all these days u have been worried' geet was speechless.. he knew? And he could read her eyes' this was totally making her cry.. and she couldn't control her emotions, her eyes filled with tears' and her throat was burning'. She didn't want to burst into tears'. ' geet I cnt bare to c u like this' will u pls tell me ?' and he caressed her cheek'

Geet couldn't take it anymore' ' maan.. how cn u be so nice to me? When u know that I'm the reason to all ur troubles'' and she turned away'..

Maan was shocked' what made her think like that? how cn she be the reason to anything.. and what troubles? Everything was perfect' does this problem have to do with something that dev said? Thought maan' ' geet'' he turned her around so she could face him' ' geet'what troubles? What are u talking about, what happened?' ' maan, you dnt have to hide everything' I know everything' u lost ur deal with Mr.Rahul' I know how important it was for u' and now ur acting as if it's nothing'' oh so this is why she's worried' but there's more' maan knew it' ' geet'u were worried about the deal I cancelled? The deal which was not even important'it's not only that rite' there is more? What else is troubling u?? did my brother say anything to you?'

And then maan realized how confused geet looked' but he has to find out why his wife was upset' and he would do anything to get his bubbly wife back' thought maan'
