Chapter 5


Maan wanted to enjoy the dance and make geet smile, but he couldn't.. cz as soon as they reached the dance floor and as they were about to dance he's phone began to ring, he didn't want to answer his phone as he knew that it was an important call and that it would take him a while to come back, and rite now he only wanted to be with geet.
but when the phone rang for the second time, geet made him answer the phone, saying that it would be a important call, so even though he was mad at her for making him do it... he realize that she knew how important his business was to him. so he just nodded his head and walked out of the house to answer the phone, cz the house was pretty noisy.

Geet was relieved when maan got a phone call, cz she felt really nervous when they were on the dance floor... she couldn't take her eyes off him, they held onto each other really tight. and when she realized that she was really close to him she tried to pull herself away, but he didn't let her go, but when he got a phone call... she knew that this was her chance to move away... it's not that she didn't want to dance... she did really want it, but then she remembered the first time they danced, and that made her blush.. but she knew how to cover it, so she looked down for awhile to calm herself. then his phone rang for the second time, and then she knew it was important... she was his sectary, obviously she knew how important his calls were.. so she said to answer it, and at that same moment she saw how his eyes changed, first it was filled with passion... and the next it was filled with anger, but then he calmed down cz he knew that she was right, and he left her in middle of the dance floor to answer his phone call.

After a while, geet felt lonely, cz the whole staff was on the dance floor.. and she missed maan.. she wanted him next to her, because she always felt protected, safe. but she knew that it was her fault, she sent him away and now she was missing him...
the party was going to be over.. and maan still hasn't returned, she wanted to know if everything was fine, but then she decided to wait for him, dadi returned after her prayers saw geet's face and knew that she missed maan, but where was this boy? She thought and she decided to ask geet, ' geet beta... where is maan?? the party is going to be over in a little while but he's not here? ' geet hesitated for a few minutes, and said ' daadi.. maan got a important call so he had to answer it, he went out cz it was really noisy in here, but he still didn't return yet'
daadi, realized how worried geet was, she was happy to see someone caring for her grandson, but she wanted to scold maan for leaving geet at the party. ' geet how could he leave like that? this was ur engagement party... and he just left you here alone?... wait till he comes back... I'll give him a good lecture... ' but before daadi could finish
geet said, ' daadi.. its not his fault, he didn't want to answer the call, but i made him.. cz it was really important t him daadi ma, ...i shouldn't have told him to answer '
geet was defending maan... and at that moment daadi realized that this was the right girl for a maan, who cares for him and who also defends him when he's done a mistake.
so daadi decided to leave this matter and start a new conversation.
when the party was over maan didn't return, when geet went out searching for him, she realized that the car was missing.. but his driver was at home.. when she asked him where maan was, he said that maan left the house few hours ago.. saying that he needed a file from the office. geet became really worried so she called his mobile, but no one answered, she went back and told daadi everything, and she was worried too, but geet told her to get some sleep, and that geet would stay up for maan.
when finally daadi went to sleep, geet tried calling him again, but she couldn't get through.. so she sat on the sofa and decided to wait.....

Maan didn't want to leave the party or geet, but he had to.. his client wanted a document faxed at this time in the night, maan couldn't refuse cz this business deal was really important, he wanted to speak with geet before he left.. but he knew that it would take more time, cz if he did go back to geet, he won't have the guts to leave her... he didn't' know why he felt like this, he decided to shutdown all kinds of feelings long time ago, but it was all coming back... and it was cz of geet.
After he finished all his work at the office, he checked the time.. it was 1 O'clock in the morning... he knew that the party would be over by now, when he went back to his car he realized that he has left his mobile in the car.. and when he checked his phone, he had got 8 missed calls from geet and 3 missed calls from him home.. then he thought maybe geet and daadi would have been worried about him.. so hurried himself home.

When maan reached his house... all the lights were out... but he slightly saw where he was going cz of the moonlight, when he opened the main door to the house... no one was there... every one must have gone to sleep thought maan, and he walked towards the stairs... but then he realized that someone was on the sofa... and then he saw geet sleeping, she was curled up as if she was feeling really cold, he walked up to her and sat on the corner... and he could see her beautiful face under the moonlight... she looked like a small child she looked so innocent.., so pure.... he just couldn't take his eyes off her... after a few minutes later he caressed her cheek, he couldn't help it. he wanted to touch her and feel her soft skin..
she stirred a bit and slightly changed her position, but she didn't open her eyes.... maan knew that she was a deep sleeper, and specially when she was tired... so he decided to take her to her room.. but it was far away... so he finally he decided to take her to his room.. he reached down an scooped her up into his arms... and at that moment geet slightly opened her eyes ' maan... ' she whispered.. ' yes sweetheart it's me... go back to sleep.. you look really tired...' but geet didn't listen to him.. she slightly moved herself away, and looked at maan with her sleepy eyes.... ' maan where were you? i was so worried, and daadi too... you didn't even tell me that u were going to leave...' she made a face like a small child that made maan melt at the same spot.. ' I'm really sorry geet, I was going to tell you, but i was in a hurry so couldn't tell you.. now go back to sleep... I'll talk to daadi in the morning..' he said more gently.. and caressed her arm while carrying her.. but geet looked so worried and sleepy... he wanted to kiss her brow... so that it would go away... and then geet said' then y didn't you answer my calls? are you mad at me? '
now he knew why she was so worried she thought i was mad at her... she alwayz thought about silly stuff... but how could he be mad at his angel.... then he thought my angel? what has gotten into me?? why do i feel so close to geet? why do I alwayz care for her... why do i always feet her pain? these were questions that ran in his head all the time.. but he knew that this was not the rite time.. and then he saw geet falling asleep... but she was trying her best to be awake.. ' geet i couldn't answer your calls cz i left the phone in the car...and I'm not mad at you.. how can I?? when... ' he stopped.. and said... ' geet sweetie.. .please go to sleep...' this time she obeyed him cz she couldn't stay awake any longer.. so she wrapped her arms around his neck.. and kept her head on his shoulder and fell asleep.
he carried her upstairs, kept her on his bed and covered her with his blanket.. when he was about to leave.... she didn't let him, cz she was holding his hand....
he didn't want to leave her too... so he grabbed a chair that was beside his bed... and sat on it... and for few minutes he checked her beautiful face.. but he was too tired so he fell asleep too...
