Ashna is wid Adil's mom'..letting her knw abt her trip.

Ashna: So pls'.aap inn dino apna khyal rakhna'aur Adil ko zyada pareshan mat karna'.I'll be bak by 7 days'

Just then''cutting her words''.Mrs. Gayatri Raichand (GR) signs to say sumthing''.which Ashna fails to understand.

Ashna: Sorry Maa'didn't get u'

Adil: (from the door) Nahi mom'.main nahi jaa raha!! (he replies as he knws that she had asked'.if Adil was not accompanying her) Wat do u mean by 'kyun nahi'? (he replies as she signs to knw the reason) Aap hi batao'.is it possible for me'.to go on a holiday for 7 long days!!

GR signs "Mujhe kuch nahi sunna'.tum isse akele nahi bhej sakte."

Adil: Mom'.she is an adult'.I don't need to escort her everywhere'..waise bhi wo akele akele bahut kuch kar sakti hai'..hai na Ashna?

Ashna: Yeah'.Ma. I don't need him'.(and now she turns towards him) I can manage myself'alone!! (he simply nods at her words while she turns away again) Aap pls fikr mat kijiye'.Adil ko to bahut kaam hota hai'.he cant manage a week's break'.but I promise main apna khyal rakhungi'.provided that u do the same!!

GR just smiles at her and caresses her lovingly'.and then Ashna gets up to leave'.while Adil coms forward to sit beside his mom.

Adil: Ab muh kyun utra hua hai?? (GR faces away) Ohk'.so aap ko mera chehra dekhna achha nahi lag raha hai'..f9 then'.main to hamesha se hi chahta tha'.aap mujh par depend karna chhor de'..so gud for me!! Ab se nahi aunga'aapse milne'.. (at this GR just glares at him'.for saying such words) Arre ab kya hua?? Aap khud hi to khafa hai'.aur to aur'.mujhe saath din ke liye dur bhejna chahti hai'.to mujhe laga'.u don't need me anymore!!

GR just points a finger at him'..as if to say'. "never say such things again"'..

Adil: Kab tak Mom? Kab tak aap aise hi ishaare karengi'.aur main aapko samjhunga?? Aur phir kyun maanu main aapki baat?? Kya aap meri baat maanti hai?? Kya aap zara bhi koshish karti hai thik hone ki?? No'u don't'..and I knw dat Mom!! (GR looks away) But U knw wat'.its ok'.shayad ye aapke liye sabse asaan tarika hai'..apne dard se jhujne ka''U do wat u think u shud do'.and I'll do whatever I need to do.

And he tries to manage a smile in which he fails miserably'.and then helping his mom to lie down'he turns off the lights and comes out of the room. In his hurry'.he fails to notice Ashna'.who was standing by the door only'.being too engrossed in the mother-son convo to move away!!

Ashna cud very well sense the sadness and helplessness in his voice'.somehow she didn't like that. Somehow she didn't like to see him so vulnerable'.even though she always wished so only.

Next evening'.Ashna was sitting in the plane'.well that was a private one'.She had to admit'..being 'Ashna Adil Raichand' '.had sum enormous facilities as well. But then she wasn't thinking of all that'..for sum reason'..she was occupied wid the thought of being there alone'..minus him!! She wud not hav to see his face'.and feel angry at him''. She wud not hav to act as per his wish'' She wud not hav to show her worth to him and feel proud''She wud not hav to do anything that she has been doing for all these months'.being his wife''.and that's simply becoz HE wud not be there!!! And now suddenly she realizes''.how effectively her life was moving around that one person'..whose very presence enrages her'.but whose absence''is felt by her like never before!!

At abt 8 p.m''Adil was still in the office. But he was not engrossed in sum file''rather he was occupied wid sum thoughts!! Leaning bak to his chair'.he stared outside. The weather was rough'.wind was blowing pretty wildly''but he still didn't close the window. He was always fond of facing the hardness of the wind on his face'..and not often he gets to do sumthing'.he is fond of!!

Suddenly a paperweight falls down from his table'and catches his attention. Just then the wind turns the pages of a magazine'.and quite unmindfully Adil takes it in hand. It had sum quotes written on the page'.and the very first one caught his eyes:

Sapno se dil lagane ki aadat nahi rahi,

Har waqt muskurane ki aadat nahi rahi,

Ye soch ke ki koi manaane nahi aayega

Ab hume rooth jaane ki aadat nahi rahi.

Adil stared at the lines for a while'..and then looked away. And after a few minutes'..his hands open a drawer on their own and take out a photo frame!! It was his family picture'..it had his Baba, his Mom, his Dadi, Rishabh, Rashi'.and Him!! He was standing a lil away from all of them'.still Mr. Raichand had his hand kept on his head.

He looked deeply into the pic'.trying to hav a clearer look at himself, the then HE. The picture was a past'.and had no resemblance to the present. Coz at present''along wid the absence of his Baba'..there is always a shadow of grief on his mom's face, a certain anger and frustration in his dadi's eyes and a coldness in Rishabh's voice!!

Rishabh!! It has been long since he saw him last''but still he remembers the day he had left'..voicing all his disagreements and dissatisfaction.

Rishabh: Mujhe ye manzoor nahi hai'..main tumhe apne ghar me aur bardasht bilkul nahi karunga''bahut hua'..

Adil: Meri baat ko samajhne ki koshish to karo'.

Rishabh: Its either you or me'..thats it'..

Adil: No'.this cannot be it''tum sab kuch yu adhura chhor ke nahi jaa sakte'.

Rishabh: (gives a sad smile) Adhura?? Nahi Adil'.main kuch bhi adhura chhorke nahi jaa raha hu'.kyunki ab kisi bhi cheez ko pura karne ke liye meri zarurat nahi hai'..you hav replaced me well'.

Adil: Replace?? That's not the word Rishabh'..tum iss ghar ke bete ho''main tumhe replace kaise kar sakta hu?

Rishabh: Iss ghar ka sirf ek beta hai'.aur ab to ye zahir hai ki wo tum ho'.to main kaise yaha reh sakta hu? I am not gonna be here'..

Adil: Maine kaha na tumhe'.

Rishabh: (cutting him) Listen''tumhare hath me sari power hai'.tum jo chahe wo kar sakte ho'..and I cant stop you'.lekin tum bhi mujhe apni marzi ka karne se nahi rok sakte'..You cant stop me Adil'.

Adil: Lekin tum meri wajah se'.apna parivaar chhor ke kyun jaoge?

Rishabh: Kyunki'tum mera parivaar chhorke kabhi nahi jaoge'.aur main tumhe apni aankhon me samne yu saans lete nahi dekh sakta''Jab Maa-Papa tumhe ghar le aye the'..tab mujhe nahi pata tha'.tumhare ane se'hamari zindagi yu badal jayegi'..ye jo sab kuch hua hai na Adil'iski wajah sirf tum ho'..aur shayad ab mujhe samajh me aa raha hai'.tum kyun sabke favourite banne pe tule the hamesha'..Pehle tumhe dekhke lagta tha'.ki achha hai''tumhe ek parivaar mil gaya'..aur hamein bhi ek aur sadasya mil gaya'..sab saath mil kar'khushi se rahenge'.lekin mujhe nahi pata tha'.tumhe parivaar dene ke chakkar me'.hamara parivaar yu barbaad ho jayega'..

Adil didn't say a word to this'.coz deep inside'.he also felt that he was sumhow responsible for all this'..His very existence seemed inauspiscious. It was true that'.since the day he had entered the house'.nothing gud had happened''instead Mr. Raichand's business was suffering suddenly'..and now his sudden death'..all becoz of him!! It does sound prejudicial''but still'Adil cud not hav a say over that!!

Adil: Kahan jana hai tumhe'.I'll make the arrangements for u'..

Rishabh: Mujhe tumhari madat ki zarurat nahi hai'.

Adil: Madat nahi Rishabh'..haq hai ye tumhara'..

Rishabh: Haq? (laughs sadly) Yeah'.tabhi to sab tumhare naam pe hai'.hai na?

Adil: Maine tumhe kaha hai na'..main tumhara hissa tumhare naam karne ko tayyar hu'..

Rishabh: Mujhe tumhari bhikh nahi chahiye'..aur phir tumhe mere kahin bhi jane se kya problem hai? Tumhe to khush hona chahiye'tumhare raaste ka kanta khud dur hona chahta hai'..be happy and enjoy Adil'.meri fikr chhoro!!

As Rishabh didn't listen to him'.Adil thought of consulting Shekhar. Only he cud knock sum sense into Rishabh.

Adil: Usse baat karo Shekhar'.make it all possible for him. Wo apni nadaani me bhul raha hai'.duniya zidd pe nahi chalti'.jeene ke liye'.paiso ki zarurat hai'.aise ghar chhor kar kahan jayega'..kya karega?? Mujhe pata hai'.usme kabiliyat hai'.lekin adaat nahi hai usse. Chhoti se chhoti baat se hyper ho jata hai'..bahut mushkil hoga ye sab uske liye'..aur mere rehte'.usse itni takleef uthane ki zarurat nahi hai. Baba se waada kiya hai maine''iss parivaar ke bade bete hone ka fraz nibhane ka'..itna to karna hi hoga'.

Shekhar: Par Rishabh iss tarah se dur'..

Adil: I knw'.ye sahi nahi hai'.lekin wo mere saath rahega to jee nahi payega'..aur meri majboori ye hai ki main kahin aur nahi jaa sakta'..so I think'.agar wo dur reh ke'.jee sakta hai'.to wo hi better hai'..at least uske liye!!

Shekhar: Par main isme kya karu?? I mean'.kya wo meri baat maanega?

Adil: Itni asaani se to nahi'.lekin dost manta hai wo tumhe'.tum usse samjhao'.ki wo aborad jaa ke higher studies complete kare'..aur jo bhi arrangements hai wo karke main uspe daya nahi kar raha hu'.its all His'.Usse ye baat shanti se samjhao'.wo samajh jayega'.

When Shekhar had gone to talk to Rishabh'.he had at first refused to listen to him'..

Rishabh: Tum se kya baat karu? Sab jante hai'.tumhare liye'.Adil kabhi ghalat nahi hota.

But still wid much difficulty'.Shekhar persuaded him to think practically and go abroad''

Shekhar: Either way'.u don't hav to face Adil'.but if u think rationally''then this is the best option Rishabh'.kyun zidd me aa kar'.apna nuksaan karna chahte ho? Pls meri baat maan lo'..iske baad sab kuch'.tumhare mutabik hi hoga'..

And finally Rishabh agreed'..and he left in a few days!! He doesn't knw'.Adil had gone all the way to the airport'..to see him going away'..leaving everything'.every relation behind. Though Rishabh was the one to live alone''.it was Adil who felt the vacancy more. He had wished that''perhaps Rishabh wud change his decision'.and stay back'..but he didn't!! And Adil knew why'..Rishabh was way too stubborn to take back his words'.he always was'.and he still is!!

Suddenly Adil's chain of thoughts is broken by the ringing of his cell phn. Coming out of the trance'.he picks it up to see his home number flashing on screen.

Adil: Haan Rashi'.bol.

Rashi: AB'.kahan hai aap? 9:30 bajne ko hai'.u said'U'll be back early. Aur phir weather is not much gud'..Mom pareshan ho rahi hai'..

Adil: Yeah'I knw I said that'.Mom se bol pareshan na ho'.main abhi nikal raha hu'.

Rashi: Nikal raha hu matlab? Aap abhi bhi office me ho??

Adil: Arre ab interrogation mat kar'.I am coming!! (and he hangs up)

Here Rashi puts the phn down'but just then it rings again'.

Rashi: Hello'

Ashna: Hi Rashi''Ashna bol rahi hu'.

Rashi: Oh Hi Bhabhi'..aap thik se pohuch gayi??

Ashna: Haan'in fact kaafi der pehle pohuchi hu'..thoda occupied thi''but socha phn kar deti hu'..warna Maa shayad pareshan ho jati'

Rashi: Yeah'.achha kiya aapne jo phn kar diya'.Mom waise hi pareshan hai'.kuch aur der ho jati'.to aapko le kar bhi shuru ho jati'.

Ashna: Pareshan hai? Kyun? Is everything alryt?

Rashi: Arre haan'.ab sab thik hai'.actually yaha weather thodi kharab hai'nothing much though'..but AB abhi tak ghar nahi laute hai'.jabki unhone Mom se kaha tha wo jaldi ayenge'..to bas Mom bhi pareshan hone lagi'..

Ashna: Agar bola tha ki jaldi ayega'.to abhi tak kyun nahi aya? Kahan gaya hoga?

Rashi: Arre wo kahin gaye nahi the'.he was in the office only'.but maine baat kar li hai'..he is coming!!

Ashna: Hmm'..waise weather zyada kharab hai?

Rashi: No Bhabhi'.kaha na'nothing much'.bas hawa kuch zoro se beh rahi hai'.thats it. But then Mom to Mom hai'..aur wo bhi AB hai'.when it concerns these two'.fikr tapak tapak ke jharti hai'..(she giggles)

Ashna: Tu bhi pagal hai bilkul'. (just then she has a knock on the door) Achha koi aya hai shayad'..so am hanging up'.. tu Maa ko bata dena'.I am f9'.and'..(she pauses for a while'.not really knwing wat she wanted to say or wat she wanted to knw)'.and'..just take care!! Bye''(and she hangs up)

Opening the door'.Ashna finds her frnd Heer standing there.

Heer: Oye hoye'.apni patidev se baatein ho rahi thi kya'.jo itni der laga di darwaza kholne me'.

Ashna: Wat? Mujhe khud ki tarah samajhke rakha hai kya? Main apni nanand se baat kar rahi thi'.to let them knw'.I hav reached here and am f9'

Heer: Arre'.isme meri tarah hone ki kya zarurat hai?? Har normal ladki iss tarah se apni pati se'.ya premi se hi baat karta hai'.but yeah'.she has to be normal though!! (and this Ashna smacks her arm really hard) Arre baba'.sorry!!

Ashna: U better be'.huh!!

Heer: Uff'tere nakhre!! Aaj bhi waise hi hai bilkul'.pata nahi Mr. Raichand tujhe kaise sambhalte honge'.waise wo kyun nahi aye?

Ashna: Kiski baat kar rahi hai?

Heer: Arre tere pati ki'.

Ashna: Adil ki? To tu usse'.ye Mr. Raichand'..aise kyun bula rahi hai? I thought pata nahi kiski baat kar rahi hai'.

Heer: (laughs) Arre'..hum to unhe aise hi bulate aye hai'hamesha se'.bas adat hai'..Jeeju to wo hamare baad me bane hai'.pehle to wo Mr. Adil Raichand hai'..

Ashna: (stares at the way she takes his name) Listen'..main to tere Prem ko Mr. Juneja nahi kehti'..to phir tu Adil ka naam aise kyun leti hai?? Insaan hai wo'.wo bhi bahut mamuli'.u don't need to show him so much respect'..

Heer: (smiles in a confused way) Ashna'.is everything f9?

Ashna: (looks at her) Kyun? Wats not f9?

Heer: No'.I mean'..khair jane de.

Ashna: Nahi bata'kya hua?

Heer: Mujhe laga'.tu unke naam se chid rahi hai'..jaise jhagra kiya ho'..(and then suddenly) Ohh'..ab samjhi'.wo tere saath nahi aye'.isliye naraz hai tu unse hai na?

Ashna: Naraz? Nahi'.naraz kyun houngi'.mujhe pata tha wo manage nahi kar sakta'..Its impossible for him'..to be off from work for so long'..

Heer: Hmm'..aana shayad impossible hai'..but tujhse baat karna to possible hai na?

Ashna: (confused) Huh? Kya?

Heer: Sach sach bata'..gussa hai na tu unse? Aur baat bhi nahi ki'.hai na?? (Ashna doesn't say anything'.coz she is not sure which answer will lead to where) Arre tera chehra batata hai'.U r missing him'..(at this Ashna just looks up in surprise) so am sure tune baat nahi kii hogi'.chal abhi phn laga'..

Ashna: Abhi?

Heer: Haan'.kyun? Any problem?

Ashna: Nope'.problem nahi hai'..I was wondering Adil ghar pohucha bhi hoga ya nahi'..actually meri nanand keh rahi thi'.wo office se kuch der pehle hi nikla hai'.

Heer: Tab to tujhe phn karke jaan lena chahiye'.wo ghar pohuche bhi ya nahi'.c'mon yaar'.phn kar na'..agar raaste me honge bhi to kya? Bas baat hi to karni hai'.aur haan'.mujhe bhi baat karni hai'.pls ok?

Ashna: (smiles at her excitement'.but still feels nervous) Ok'.

Ashna tries his cell for a few times'..but he doesn't pick it up'.

Ashna: Umm'he is not answering'.shayad driving kar raha hoga'.or sumthing like that'.ur bad luck'..

Here Adil has reached home'..and was in his mom's room'.trying to apologise to her for being late!! So he didn't hear his mobile ringing in his room'..but as he comes back'putting his mom to rest'.he finds 3 missed calls'from Ashna!! So of course'.he calls back.

Here Ashna was abt to send Heer away'.when her mobile rings again'.

Heer: Kyun? Unhone wapas call kiya na? (she asks in a teasing manner)

Ashna just nods at her awkwardly'and picks up the call'.

Adil: Tumne call kyun kiya tha? Any problem?

Ashna: Nahi'.tum ghar pohuch gaye ho?

Adil: (confused as to why she asked that) Hmm'.kyun?

Ashna: Wo actually'.

Now Heer takes away the phn'..

Heer: Hello'.Mr. Raichand? (at this Ashna rolls her eyes'.but Heer ignores) Main'.Heer bol rahi hu'Ashna ki frnd'.

Adil: (a lil off guard to suddenly find her on the phn) Oh Hi'.aap hi ki shaadi ho rahi hai?

Heer: Jee'.aur agar aap ate to achha hota'.

Adil: I wish I cud'..but my heartiest congratulations to u and ur partner'..

Heer: Oh'koi baat nahi'I understand that u r busy'..but anyways'Thank you for the wishes'.and I guess'I shud now hand over the phn to ur wife'.warna mujhe maar dalegi lagta hai'..

At this the softness of Adil's face'.is replaced by his evergreen seriousness!!

Here Ashna takes the phn''

Ashna: Hello'.

Adil: To tumhari frnd ko baat karni thi?

Ashna: Haan'..umm'.tumne khaana nahi khaya hoga na?

Adil doesn't understand'.whether this question was actually meant for him'.or was she just pretending in front of her frnd'. So he simply asks her'.

Adil: Heer abhi bhi wahi hai kya?

Ashna: (looks over the shoulder to find her there) Yeah'.

Adil: Okay then'.tum kuch der baad baad'. 'haan'/ 'naa' karti raho'.she'll think I am talking to u'.

Ashna: Hmm'..

And they both keep holding the phn'.in silence!! And its like'.everything around them sinks into that silence. They cud hear nothing but each other's breaths'.and none realizes'.when they get lost!!

After a while'.the window of Adil's room is opened by the wind'and he cums out of his trance.

Adil: Umm'.Heer abhi bhi wahi hai?

Ashna: Huh? Kaun?

Adil: Heer'tumhari dost'.abhi bhi hai?

Now Ashna looks back to find the room empty'.and the door closed. She didn't even realize when Heer had left'.that too closing the door'..and she wonders'.for how long she has been lost in that daze. However she answers him'.

Ashna: No'.she's gone now'.

Adil: F9'.bye then'..take care.

Ashna: Hmm'.

And they both hang up. But after cutting the call'Ashna stares at the mobile for a while'.she doesn't knw why!! Did she wanna say "U too"? Or did she actually wanna knw'.if he had taken dinner??

"Gosh'.main bhi na. Kabhi kabhi kuch bhi sochti hu'.I seriously need sum sleep."

As Ashna lies down'.sum scenes automatically flash in front of her eyes'.

Adil: Tum uss cockroach se darr rahi thi?? (she nods in a yes obediently) That's a baby cockroach'.I mean its too small Ashna!!

Ashna: Ab ye baby cockroach kya hota hai?? Cockroach to cokcroach hota hai na??

And then'.she definitely didn't miss that smile on his face'for the first tym'when he was standing by the car trying to reach and suddenly a car had splashed her saree wid mud'..

Then recently she made Dadi scold him for no reason'whereas he had given her a wonderful advice:

Do one thing'..tum unke paas jao'.and permission mango'..and agar wo meri baat kare to keh dena'.tumne abhi tak mujhse nahi puchha'.kyunki tum unse pehle puchhna zyada zaruri samajhti ho'.aisa kehne se wo impress ho jayengi'..which she already is''and tumhara kaam ban jayega!!

And even now'he tells her to act saying 'Haan'/ 'Naa' intervals so that Heer is convinced that they r talking'..

"U always hav ur ways'..ur own interesting ways'..to make everyone believe whatever u want them to blv'.ur own innovative ways of pretence'.ur own unique aura'..(and she has a smile on her face but then she pauses) Crap'.why am I thinking all these? I so need to get sum sleep'. (to herself) C'mon Ashna'u r too exhausted'.just sleep!!"

Here'.after cutting the call'.Adil stands still'in his empty bedroom. Just a few moments back'.she was right there'talking to him'.but now she wasn't anywhere near him. But then'.she wasn't supposed to be either'.was she?

Just then the window again makes a noise'.and he goes towards it''but doesn't close it. He feels the wind on his face''and remembers sumthing'.

GR (Gayatri Raichand): Arre'tu waha kyun khada hai? Kitni tez hawaye beh rahi hai'.its not gud to stand here like this'.chal khidki bandh kar'.

Younger Adil: But ye achha lagta hai'.

GR: Tu aise nahi manega'chal hatt'main hi bandh kar deti hu'.

Adil had then moved away'.and remembering that moment'.he moves away again'..but realizes that was just an imagination!!

Soon he has a thoughtful look on his face.....after all he had so many things to take care of!!
