Mayank carried her through the stairs toward the elevator without looking in her direction to avoid the glares and the confused looks.Nupur stopped struggling after a while and kept staring at him wondering why is he doing all this?He still loves me…else why would he do this…He also still can't get over the past I guess.Is he indicating towards are getting back together or he is just being human out of nowhere.Is he the same loving,caring and my darling Mayu...No No No Nupur what are you thinking…he is still the unbearable creature.Just don't fall for his tactics.Mayank broke Nupur's reverie by putting her down on her feet while Nupur's hands were still on his shoulder's and she kept looking at him.Mayank removed his hands from her waist and looked in her direction,she was looking just like a fairy lost in her own thoughts…Nupur's innocence was the first quality that attracted Mayank back there.Though he was said to be the most clever and smart person who would end up with success because of his wits yet he found himself in love with a innocent and shy girl contrary to the expectations of people around him.He suppressed his wish to run a finger on her cheeks and looked in another direction with floating attitude.This broke Nupur's chain of thoughts who cursed herself for looking at him as if she is a love sick puppy.God Nupur why you have to do this everytime…now he'll feel more high of himself.Mentally hitting her head slightly,she made herself move away from him and made her direction towards the stairs again when Mayank clutched her wrist and pulled her in the elevator."What are you doing?"Nupur said grinding her teeth and at the same time trying to remove his hand from her wrist."I have told you my intentions once and would not repeat that,Its not a habbit of mine"Mayank said air headedly."Mayank I am telling you the last time,DO NOT force me into this because I certainly am not interested"She said trying to control her anger."Nupur would you please stop speaking and THINKING for a while because I am not interested in you the way you are thinking me to be"He said piercing his eyes into her."And also DO NOT talk to me like that.I do have my self respect and you cannot come all the way talking as If you're the only person out there for me"Nupur finally poured her heart out.

Mayank left the elevator for her to follow and rang the bell for Kaka to open the door.Kaka was waiting for Mayank's return as always and opened the door as soon as he heard it.Mayank entered without looking back leaving Nupur alone.Kaka was surprised to see a girl alongside Mayank,all these years he never saw Mayank with a girl or a girl in his house unless there was a party.He was shocked to see Mayank bringing a girl alongwith him.Nupur was standing at the door looking around wondering is this really his home?He earn so much to afford such a lavish apartment??Ofcourse Nupur!Why so shocked…you know about him…he won't accept any money from his family ever so this definitely is all on his own and he is capable enough to get all this for himself."Come in Mam"Kaka said while Nupur stepped in carefully feeling uncomfortable.Kaka lead her to the lounge where Mayank was going through the mails"Kaka would you please mind clearing up the room besides mine for Nupur"Mayank said still reading one of the mails."Yes Sir"Kaka said leaving.Nupur started fiddling with her fingers,this was the most weird situation ever.Meeting Mayank was fine,being close to him was fine too to some extent,but standing in his apartment that too at this hour of night was not at all fine.Nupur was nervous like hell,the situation would have been much different if she has been still seeing Mayank ,not seeing but with him,she would have called this her home in that case,but now when both of them can't even tolerate each others presence,the situation seems like strangeness creeping over you.A whirlwind of emotions were running through Nupur,If only we were still together she thought sighing.Mayank turned around saying"I'll show you your room"and started moving while Nupur was pinned to where she was standing."Lets go"Mayank said stopping again and Nupur moved a bit.She followed him until they were inside the room."Here you go…you'll find everything here but still I am in my room besides this one,in case you need help"He said looking towards the floor."Hmmm"Nupur said unable to say anything.Mayank left while Nupur was still standing there feeling like crying her heart out.Life seemed to have taken a 360 degrees turn,she was back to what she has been running from all along.Her emotions were going wild and hard for her to control,taking in the tears she moved towards the dressing room looking for the bathroom.It was a small carpeted room with a closet and a vanity table with door to bathroom on one side.She supported her back with the wall on one end alongside entrance door and rested her head slightly weeping,she kept her hand on her mouth to suppress the sound of her sobbing.Trying to suppress her tears were making her choke and she felt like breaking down without caring for facing anyone.

Mayank took out some clothes Gunjan left while once Samrat and Gunjan stayed at his place.Taking them he made his way toward Nupur's room.The door was still wide open so he went inside looking around for her.He kept the dress on the bed when he heard someone sobbing which directed him towards the dressing room,he stopped at the entrance looking at his right where he saw Nupur crying and piercing his heart like no one else ever did.He never gave anyone the power to hurt him but Nupur certainly was one person who had this thing that her tears,her pain,her problems and worries can sting his heart.She was the only girl who can make him feel pain and loneliness.Hearing her sob,he rested his head on the door frame closing his eyes and taking in the pain.Nupur suddenly opened her eyes feeling someone's presence and turned rapidly only to come face to face with Mayank.He looked at her with such intensity that made her back away,by mistake she stepped on her dupatta losing her balance,she kept one of her hands on Mayank's shoulder to keep herself from falling.She maintained her balance while Mayank was still at his spot.Nupur straightened avoiding eye-contact with Mayank,she was feeling embarrassed and did not wanted to confront Mayank in any case.Hesitantly,she started to turn towards the bathroom when Mayank took hold of her by her shoulders and made her face him yet again.Nupur was caught by surprise by this action of Mayank's,she looked at him pleadingly not to probe into this matter any further.Mayank brought her closer to himself making Nupur all the more nervous."What happened?"He asked piercing his eyes full of intensity into hers".Nupur controlled hard not to show her emotions by not looking into his eyes,she stood still with her eyes downcast"You should go now".Listening to that,Mayank knew Nupur was trying to be strong infront of him and was hiding her true feelings.He cupped one of her cheeks and stroked it with his thumb ,his eyes spoke volume and Nupur fought hard to avoid the closeness,he kept his forehead on hers which made Nupur to turn her head sideways.Keeping his other hand on her cheek Mayank made her face him again and closing the distance he kissed her softly.Taking in the softness he tilted his head and kissed more deeply,while Nupur closed her eyes tightly with silent tears flowing away.Moving back Mayank kept one of his hands on her waist and other on nape of her neck.Nupur felt like fading away and took support of the closet behind her for support,Mayank removed the hand from her neck and slowly caressing her arm moved it towards her hand,Nupur clutched the closet more tightly when Mayank entwined his hand with hers.Nupur moaned slightly and broke the kiss while Mayank kissed her cheek lastly.They stood there for a while forehead to forhead when suddenly Nupur opened her eyes and realized their position.She struggled to get out of Mayank's grasp while their hands were still entwined and he was still staring at her."Mayank please"She said softly which brought Mayank back to the real world where matters between him and Nupur were upside down.He immediately left her hand and moved back keeping one of his hand on his temple.Nupur moved inside the bathroom and locked the door,she splashed water across her face to wash away all the past memories.Meanwhile,Mayank left the room closing the door.This night was sleepless for both of them,both loved and wanted each other yet their ego won't let them get over the past.Mayank wanted to apologize for what he did,at that time he left Nupur only because she was young and he didn't wanted to be the hindrance in her studies,he wanted her to study without any family or social pressure,he knew if they remained married Dadi and his family ,which currently are settled in abroad,would have asked him to plan a family which certainly would have ended Nupur's career because Mayank knew well enough that Nupur would give up everything for his sake.But he didn't wanted her to sacrifice her life,he had completed his studies and was ready to work on his own,it wasn't difficult for him but he couldn't start his life at stake of Nupur's life.He did all that then,but the revelance of truth now wasn't easy.
