Prologue:
A twenty one year old guy was searching for something in his room. He was in his uniform, a pilot uniform. He looked extremely handsome in that uniform. His room, originally a very neat one was now in a condition unimaginable. He had been searching since the last 15 minutes but was unable to find 'it'.
Finally, he went to his bed and opened the drawer beside it. He found his diary and opened to check whether he put 'it' inside it. His face brightened up. He smiled showing his dimples. He found 'it'. He opened it. It was a letter. . .
Dear friend,
I wanted a perfect ending. Now I've learned, the hard way, that some poems don't rhyme, and some stories don't have a clear ending.
Life is about not knowing, having to change, taking the moment and making the best of it, without knowing what's going to happen next.
The best things said come last. People will talk for hours saying nothing much and linger at the door with words that come with a rush from the heart.
The bitter word, which closed all earthly friendships and finished every feast of love – farewell!
Why does it take a minute to say hello and forever to say goodbye?
Why can't we get all the people together in the world that we really like and then just stay together?
I guess that wouldn't work. Someone would leave. Someone always leaves.
Then we would have to say good-bye. How lucky I am to have someone that makes saying goodbye so hard.
Only in the agony of parting ways do we look into the depths of love. Some people come into our lives and quickly go.
Some stay for a while, leave footprints on our hearts, and we are never, ever the same.
As the contraries are known by contraries, so is the delight of presence best known by the torments of absence.
"You and I will meet again
When we're least expecting it
One day in some far off place
I will recognize your face
I won't say goodbye my friend
For you and I will meet again"
Your . . . . .
He smiled heartily and looked contented. He read it once again. He was used to it by now. He had been reading this letter for the past 5 years. But he was never bored of reading it. He knew every word in it and also the way 'that someone' pronounced it. He then took out a photograph from the diary and stared at it for 5 long minutes. He brushed his hands through it and kissed the girl in the photo.
"Beta, Nashta tayyar hain!" his Mother called him from the other room.
He smiled once again at the photo. Then put it neatly in the diary along with the letter and went to have his breakfast.
After having his breakfast, he took blessings from his parents and left for the first day of work as a pilot.

That's it for today. I hope you like it. Feel free to comment and criticize.
Keep smiling and take care.
Love,
Sindhu.
