Dr: So Dr. Mallik, how are you this morning?

Riddhima moved away hearing the doctor's voice. She took the kids also off the bed, so that the doctor could examine Armaan. Ani didn't want to move away from his dad, so he started protesting. Akka quickly took him out of the room. "I'm fine doctor," came Armaan's enthusiastic reply.

Dr: I couldn't get certain details from you yesterday. I think you can give it to me now. How did you dislocate your shoulder?

A: When the emergency exit was opened everyone rushed towards it. Somehow the flight purser and me, managed to control the public, sending the children and senior citizens first. Most of the senior citizens were finding it a problem to slide down, so I was giving them a helping hand. But suddenly the aircraft sunk in further into the soft and wet soil, with a jolt. The person holding onto my hand got scared and pulled harder at my arm. Simultaneously I was trying to retain my balance and tried to pull back. I think that's what caused the dislocation.

Dr: But I need to tell you that the ligament tear is quite severe. You need to take good care and see that it heals perfectly, otherwise the chances of recurrence are very high.

Then turning towards Riddhima he said "I'm sure you'll ensure that Mrs. Mallik." "Sure doctor" replied Riddhima.

The doctor examined Armaan and saw him wince when touched the surrounding area.

A: Doctor when can you discharge me?

Dr: You may require some heavy sedatives today. If the pain comes down tomorrow, I could discharge you. But you need to be very careful once you are home.

A: Sure doctor. Thank you.

Dr: You seem to have a very caring family, I'm sure they'll take good care of you.

Armaan smiled proudly at the doctor's compliment and nodded. After the doctor left, akka came in saying that Archana's car had come. Riddhima went out to meet the driver. He seemed to be a nice person in his fifties. Having assured herself that he was a decent person, she came back and asked akka to go home with the kids. When Akshat wasn't willing, she explained that it wasn't good for children to stay in hospitals without reason. When she said that Ani might catch some infection and as she couldn't take care of him, being his elder he should look after his welfare, he immediately agreed.

The kids kissed their dad and Ani was clinging tightly to him. That brought tears to Armaan's eyes. "I'm sorry Shona, main tumhe utha nahin paoonga", he apologized. The elder brother pointed dad's bandaged arm to his brother and explained in his baby language that dad had "booo" and wasn't well. So they were going "bye, bye" leaving dad here. As the elder one picked up the bag and started moving towards the door holding athai's hand, the younger one started yelling out to his bro. His arms were raised and he wanted to be picked by Athai. Armaan and Riddhima just looked at each other admiring the way their firstborn had manipulated the younger one. Riddhima smiled and told Armaan she would be back soon after seeing them off.

After packing them off into the car and giving them all the necessary instructions, Riddhima waved them off. Then she went to the canteen and bought a bowl of thick vegetable soup for Armaan. She peeked from behind the door and saw him massaging his injured arm with the good one and wincing. When she entered he immediately brought a smile to his face. She put down the soup on the side table and sat beside him asking "Bahut dard ho rah hai?"

A: No absolutely not. I'm fine.

She was surprised at his answer but knew he was pretending only because she shouldn't worry. She decided to play along. She handed him the soup and said "tumhareliye soup laayi hoon. Come on jaldi se peelo." He held the bowl in his left hand and tried to remove his right arm from the sling. She had just held his hand and he let out a scream. It came out involuntarily and there were even tears in his eyes. Seeing her stare at him, he put down his eyes and then in a very chweet voice said, "Main nahin kha paoonga. Please tumhi khila do na?" Who could resist his charm, especially when he was out to charm her.

She shook her head taking the bowl from his hand and asked, "Tum apna dard mujse bhi chupana chahte ho? To phir kisse share karoge?"

A: I know you'll be in more pain, knowing that I'm in pain.

R: That's right, but you cannot hide anything from me Mr. Mallik. Main apke rug rug se waakif hoon. Dard baantne se kum hota hai. Tum kehkar to dekho "Riddhima mere haath mein bahut dard ho raha hai." Immediately your pain will be reduced.

Not waiting for his reply, she put the bowl on the table again, and adjusted the pillows so that he could rest his injured arm on it and the asked "is that better?" He pulled her on the bed beside him with his good hand and leaning his head on her shoulder said "much better." She reached over and picked up the soup bowl from the table, and started feeding him. When she brought the second spoonful towards his mouth, he turned it towards her mouth saying "Tumne bhi kuch nahi khaya hoga."

R: Tumhe kaise pata?

A: Main bhi aapke rug rug se waakhif hoon Mrs. Mallik.

They finished the soup with their usual banter. She wiped his mouth, had him gargle his mouth and was adjusting the pillows behind him so that he could sit comfortably, when he uttered just one word "Riddhima". She understood exactly what he wanted from his tone and voice. He didn't have to spell out everything to her. She went and sat near him as she had while feeding him the soup. Then putting both her arms around his neck kissed his cheek and pushing his hair away from his face raised her eyebrows questioningly. He put his hand behind her neck, pulled her closer and bent his head towards her. She understood what was coming and met him halfway. She didn't move away even when she felt his tears wet her cheek. When he finally broke the kiss she put her palms on either side of his face and wiped his tears with her thumbs, asking "Yeh ansoon kyon?"

A: You know Riddhima when the aircraft ran off the runway, I pulled Akshat on my lap and my first thought was, God I don't want to die. My life with Riddhima has just begun, please don't end it so abruptly. I want to live a long, happy life with her and my kids. And if something happens to me and Akshat, Riddhima will be devastated. My family will be shattered. Then I got up from my seat and decided I would get out of this aircraft alive, for your sake and for the sake of our kids.

He couldn't continue further. Rivulets of tears were flowing down his cheeks and his voice choked. She hugged him tight saying "You believe in destiny na? If we are meant to spend the rest of our lives together, we will. And as akka said, my prayers to the Devikulam Sita Devi will not go waste. She will never separate us." He too hugged her tight with one arm saying "I'm sure she'll never separate us." After sometime Riddhima moved away from him saying, "Hum apne bedroom mein nahi, hospital mein hain Dr. Mallik, in case you have forgotten."

"I make myself at home everywhere, Dr. Mrs. Mallik," he teased back, but nevertheless let go of her. They spoke to akka to find out if they had reached home and were informed that the little one had fallen asleep. Archana sent them lunch, which they enjoyed as if they were on a picnic and not in the hospital. The nurse came and gave him an injection in the afternoon after which he fell asleep.

Riddhima called akka again and also spoke to Akshat. Then she also had a nap. She and Armaan were sharing a cup of coffee, taking sips in turn when there was a knock on the door. Riddhima was shocked seeing Rakesh opening the door. When he stood hesitant at the door, "Andar aao na," Armaan called out to him. He walked in and enquired "How are you sir?"

A: Come on yaar, you make me feel old by calling me sir. Call me Armaan. And I'm quite ok. I think someone cast an evil eye on our jodi and cursed it, that's why'

Rak: nahi sir, I mean Armaan. I was shocked to know that Riddhima was married because I didn't expect it in the least. But I would never wish anything bad for her or even for you..

A: arrey I was just pulling your leg. I know nothing, except destiny, can part me from Riddhima. But I'm sorry for having kept your partner away from college today. I think I'll be discharged tomorrow, so she'll also be back in college.

R: Don't be mad. You can't move a finger and you think I'm going to leave you like that and go to college?

Rak: Actually that was the reason for my visit. I thought if you could give me the matter you have written I could complete it and submit it tomorrow or the day after. Once that's done, we only have to sign out on Friday. So there won't be any need to come to college.

"Oh so you didn't come to see me, you came to see Riddhima," Armaan couldn't resist teasing him. "No, no you misunderstand me. I came to see both of you," Rakesh clarified and then seeing the grin on Armaan's face realized that he was pulling his leg yet again. He too smiled and said "Anyway everyone in college, including the professors, know that Armaan was in that aircraft and how he helped everyone out, in time of need, helping to keep the casualities to the minimum.

Both Armaan and Riddhima looked at him surprised.

Rak: Actually some media persons had clicked photographs of you helping out the passengers and they have been published in some newspapers.
