Samrat sped past the students curious gaze as he searched for Armaan among the crowd, part of himself wanted to search for Gunjan, but he knew he would have nothing to say, and the only way he could make her happy was after dealing with the one who had spread the rumour at the first place. Fighting his rage n anguish at the same time was nothing new to him, but today it seemed to have settled in him deeper, and this time it felt much more permanent, the rumour had upset gunjan so much, tht she had left without a word. Was it that bad to be linked with him?
He skidded to a halt mentally hitting himself, he was wasting time as there was only one place where armaan could be, and that was the Basketball practice court.
As the court came in view, samrat saw armaan and sameer practicing, silently he approached them.
"Armaan" he muttered, fighting infront of everyone was not a good idea.
"hey samrat" armaan turned smiling, but was surprised to meet sam's stony glare. "wat happened?" he asked.
"Dude" samrat rolled his eyes "why the hell did u tell the entire college abt me and gunjan?"
"wat? Me? I didn't do anything"
"don't lie armaan" samrat sighed frustrated.
"no really dude, I didn't tell anyone" Samrat stared at him questioningly, he looked like he was speaking the truth.
"u didn't?" he blinked.
"yeah I didn't" armaan spoke clearly "and chill dude, u two r together anyways one day or the other it would have been out"
"so its true, really sam m surprised, I thought it was just a rumour" sameer interrupted
"surprised? It was so obvious" armaan muttered
"Its actually not" samrat groaned giving in.
"wat do u mean?" armaan asked curious.
"Well no offense buddy, but gunjan wasn't interested in dating, and she didn't want to hurt u or anything, or ur rep, so I helped her get out of the sticky situation by faking a thing with her"
"hang on u mean u guys are not together?" armaan repeated incredulously.
"yeah" samrat nodded.
"and she doesn't want to go out with me" armaan murmured to himself quite glum.
"well yeah she's not interested in anyone, study is all she's here to do" samrat mumbled letting the words sink in deep inside so that he could convince his own heart as well.
"well where is she? She must be-"
"sad" samrat ended "I don't knw I wanted to meet u first, I thought it was my fault, you see the plan was mine so tht u would back out, with both of u unhurt, I thought u were the root of all this, but its not that…I wonder how.." samrat trailed off deep in thought.
"well find her dude, n abt the rumour will help u get to the depth of it" armaan promised.
"thanks buddy" samrat smiled and sprinted off in another direction.
He winced as he realized that gunjan must be lonely, Dia wouldn't have made it to college this early, there was still time.
Cramming up the thoughts in the back of his mind he tried to think, there was only one place where she could be right now, Library.

Mayank stared at Nupur as she finished her presentation speech.
She had done fairly well, good enough that he wondered as to why he was here in her room. Was nupur not confident enough, it didn't seem so.
"how was it?" nupur asked.
"It was gud" Mayank answered and stood up ready to leave.
"where are you going?" she asked confused.
"well as I said I would help u, but u did well, am sure u will be good at the meeting..u don't need any help"
"are you sure? Was I too friendly, or too formal? Did I move my hands a lot?" she rambled on chewing at her lower lip staring at him anxiously.
Mayank shook his head and frowned at her.
"Arent you sure of yourself?"
Nupur opened her mouth to answer but noticed that mayank wasn't pleased, she took a deep breath calming herself "I am mayank….its just.."
"wat?" mayank asked pleased at the way she said his name and hoping that she would go with the truth this time too.
"I considered you as a friend, u know…I thought you could give me some advice" she mumbled her voice dropping merely to a whisper "Its alright,my fault I forgot u r the Boss…"
Mayank stared at her stunned for a moment, What was that? She had considered him a Friend? How did that happen? and When? Angered by the very thought he squared his shoulders gropping for the right words, his heartbeat faltered as he stared at her innocent disheartened face, shifting backwards he blinked twice and began "Well that never happened before and it wont in the future as well…with anyone" Nupur frowned at his words.
"I meant u referring to me as a friend" he answered gazing at her, her lips turned down as realization dawned on her, a small 'Oh' escaped her lips as she gazed at him, the link that had formed seemed to have snapped, he nodded once and turned to leave before his decision faltered.
As he stepped out his mind and heart started their own raging battle
What on earth was getting on to him? Nupur had actually considered him as a friend, and the worst, it sounded good,it had felt good and when he snapped the chains that seemed to be binding them together, she had been hurt, he knew that, though what he couldn't understand was that it had hurt him too. Not able to contain himself anymore he gazed back at her door, against his will his legs moved forward, without his knowledge there he stood his hand raised to knock at her door.
Not dwelling too much he went with his instincts, his guard faltering as he yearned to erase the image of Nupur's hurt face, he wouldnt be able to spend a single second with that in mind.
It took longer for her to open the door, making him wonder if she was angry.
"Yes Sir?" she asked in a hard tone.
Mayank flinched inwardly "I was..just wondering…I mean"
"How may I help you sir?" she repeated.
Maybe this was the right thing, if she was willing to let it go this way, why would he pull her in? draw her closer?
"Nothing, just wanted to say All the best for the presentation"
"thank you" nupur smiled though it didn't reach her eyes.
She waited as he stood firm at her door, not leaving.
"So I will just…leave" he breathed out and hurried off.
Nupur stared after him throwing him a look of deepest loathing as her minds shrieked insults for him. Sadu, akdu, khadus, kanjus. She banged the door shut, suhaani had been right he was self-conceited, heartless, self centered and. She flinched and blood surged through her veins. Why had she even considered him a friend? What had she been thinking? Sharing a few smiles at breakfast, him offering help, it didn't mean that he was being friends, he was just…he was just…she couldn't answer that, she didn't know and that irritated her even more.
"Aghh I hate u mayank sharma!" she gritted her teeth "I hate u I hate u I hate u!" she muttered coldly to the walls of her room.
