The site of Gunjan breaking to pieces in front of me has been most unbearable site for me since my childhood but today its intensity surpassed all the boundaries . Everytime when Gunjan screamed & woke up like this , I somehow managed to calm her down . But today , it was different . Along with her even I was scared but for different reasons . I was scared for her , scared that if her condition continued to deteriorate like this I might lose her .
" Stop Mayank !!!! What are you thinking ????? You are besides her to control her not to be scared for other reasons ''' "
M ' " Gunjan pls calm down . See , main hoon na yahaan tumhare paas . Pls calm down ."
Usually it took me only few moments to calm her down but today it appeared as if my words had no effect on her . She hugged me even more tightly & her silent sobs continued .
M ' " Gunjan pls rona band karo . You know main tumhein aise nahi dekh sakta"
( and this was 100% true ) .
She released the hug & tried to control her sobs but she didn't succeed . Silent tears rolled down her cheeks as she looked down down at her hands . I sighed and cupped her face in my hands & wiped away her tears , she didn't look at me .
M ' " Gunjan meri taraf dekho. Kya hua ? Mujhse nahi kahogi ???
She looked at me instantly & said " Nahi bhai ! Aisi koi baat nahi hai . Just the same '''' " But she couldn't finish her sentence as her sobs broke in again . I released her face & held both her hands
M ' " You know what gunjan , you are the worst liar I have ever met ! "
She looked up at me through tears with full confusion in her eyes & on her face . I don't know why but I smiled on seeing her expressions , sometimes she was so easy to distract . She tried to say something in answer to my comment But I stopped her before she could even begin ''''
M ' " gunjan main kya koi 5 saal ka bachha bhi samajh jaega ke tumne abhi jhooth kaha . aur by the way tum mujhse jhooth bolne ki koshish to kabhi mat karma , guarantee ke sath pakdi jaogi jaise abhi pakdi gayi . "
She completely understood my meaning . Confusion was replaced by calmness & understanding on her features . She held my hand & lokked at our locked handsbut didn't said anything .
M ' " Gunjan tumhein mujhse kabhi kuch bhi chhupane ki zarurat nahi hai . Aur na hi ye kabhi samajhna ke main tumhari kisi baat pe vishwas nahi karunga . tumhare dard ko main bhi mehsoos karta hun . She looked up at me & smiled a little . I felt relief spread through me & I smiled back !

I made an amused expression, hit my forhead with my hand & rolled my eyes . She too was completely amused on seeing me doing all these idiotic things .
She laughed a little on usage of my idiom .
G (still laughing) ' " Bhai acting tumhare bas ki nahi hai aur kam se kam misaal to theek se do !!!! Khoda pahaad nikla chooha hota hai na ke khoda pahaad aur nikli cheenti !!!!!! "
I smiled & said ' " Of ho Gunjan !!!!! Cheenti ho ya chooha baat samajh main aani chahiye so aa gayi . Bhawnaon ko samjho yaar . And trust me main kabhi bhi tumse dur nahi jaunga . Jab bhi tumhe mari zarurat hogi , I'll be there for you . "
G ' " Janti hun bhai ! " & then she smiled .
M ' " To madam fir ab so jaiye kyunki kal college ke liye na tumhe late hona hai na mujhe & by the way you promised me ke kal mujhe breakfast main mujhe mere favourite aaloo ke paranthe milenge . Yaad hai ya koi aur reminder dun ????? "
G ' " Yaad hai yaad hai , tum bhoolne doge tab na . Ek hi din main ye 11 vi bar kahaa hai tumne bhai !!!! Aura b room se bhago aur mujhe sone do !!!! "
We both laughed together . Strange as it seems but we generally forget all our worries & behave like small kids when we are together . I gave her the blanket , said goodbye to her & left the room .
Gunjan was calmed down but I was not . I was still scared for her , scared about her condition . I knew that only one person can help me now . I went to my room & dialed her number . Only I had the right to disturb her at any moment of the day or night .
" Hello ''' " A sleepy voice came from other end of the receiver .
M ' " Hello ''' Sorry Shilpa Maasi aapko itni raat ko disturb kar rha hun but baat hi kuch aisi hai '''' "
She didn't need any more clue that I was talking about Gunjan . Shilpa Maasi is our mom's bestest bestest & bestest friend & a psychiatrist too . She had been like our mother since our mom passed away . If I was Gunjan's best friend & mentor so was she for me . I have always found her by my side when I needed her but except for one thing
' Vo har baar mere baalon ko chhedne ki koshish karti hain !!!! And mind it koi mere baalon ko hath lagaye ye meri sehen shakti se baahar hai . But inside my heart I always like when she tries to ruffle my hair & I irritatingly say " Pls maasi mere baalon ko mat chhuo !!!!!!! " And now here I was , missing her & her sweet chheedkhanis . ' Her concerned voice brought me back into the real world .
SM ' " Kya baat hai mayu ????? ( she calls me by that name & I love it !!! ) Gunjan to theek hai na ????? "
M ' " Vo maasi ''''.. " . I didn't know how to phrase the incident .
SM - " Mayank ''' Mujhse baat kane ke liye tumhe itna hesitate karne ki zarurat kab se padne lagi ?????? "
I sighed & smiled a bit to myself . What would have I done if she didn't stood by me . She knew me completely , more than I know about myself . I told her all about tonight .
SM ' " Mayank I think Gunjan ko mahaul badalne ki zarurat hai . Ek kaam kyun nahi karte , tum dono kuch dino ke liye shimla kyun nahi aa jate ? Isi bahane tum dono ke liye thoda change bhi ho jaega aur mnain Gunjan ko examine bhi kar lungi . "
M ' " I think aap theek keh rahe ho maasi . Hum logo jitni jaldi ho sake Shimla aane ka plan bnate hain . "
What the hell was happening to me !!!!! I have never felt so desperate to go to Shimla . Me & gunjan had always shied away from our birth place after our parents' death but today I didn't knew what pulled me back to that place so desperately '''''''
SM ' " Theek hai beta . Jaise hi tum logon ka kuch finalize hota hai mujhe bta dena . '
M ' " Ok maasi !! Thank you ! Good night . Love you maasi . "

I hung the receiver with new questions surrounding me about the pull & affinity I felt towards Shimla '''' It felt like I had to go there , we had to go there but why ??????????
( Scene 2 ) Introducing : - Samrat Raheja

An empty classroom at the farthest corner of the corridor . Soft breeze was blowing through the open windows of the room & ruffled his hair a little bit . there he sat looking like an angel with closed eyes , a guitar in his hand & a beautiful n breathtaking smile on his lips . There sat Samrat , SAMRAT RAHEJA looking like a heavenly bliss . The hair that covered the part of his forehead gave his face all the more innocent look .
[ Ok guys ! let me introduce you all to Samrat . Samrat is the heartthrob & rockstar of St. Xavier College . He is a complete ideat student cum son cum friend package . He is the best student of the college . Bascketball & guitar are his passion . He is from a conservative middle class family but still has a heart of gold . He is completing his study on the basis of his scholarships & excellence . He has saved money from his scholarships in order to buy a guitar for himself . He even does a part time job as a tutor of small children so that he can help his family . Ok now lets come back to the present ! ]
Samrat is busy enjoying his favourite melody on his guitar composed by him . This melody had the strength to take him away to its own land . He just completely allows the melody to drown himself in it . He was playing the most beautiful composition ever but still somewhere in his heart he felt that it was incomplete , like it needed to be paired with another instrument in order to complete itself but still he enjoyed it . He didn't knew why he was so obsessed with this instrument & how did he knew to play it so well .
He was enjoying the culmination point of his melody completely drowned in it But a sudden & strong buzz of noises forced him to abruptly stop & this got on his damn last nerves . The noises must be his classmates . He sighed frustratingly & opened his eyes .
A boy was standing on the class lecture platform , ready to make an announcement & rest of the class was eagerly waiting for him to speak . He was Rahul , cultural head of the college .
R ' " Ok guys !!!! Here is the news ! We are going on a two week long trip for an educational tour '''''''''' "
And he was not allowed to complete the rest of his sentence . the class questioned him all sorts of questions starting from when , where , how before he completed the sentence . All were beamed !!!!!
Poor Rahul could only speak , " A '''.. The '' But '''Please ''' " through the entire chaos .Only Samrat stood at the last of the class highly irritated , irritated by the realization that this so ' called stupid educational tour discussion put an abrupt halt to his melodious melody . He has never liked such tours because he believed they were educational only for namesake & they only wasted time & money which are both precious for him . He just hate them .
Rahul was still being fired with all sorts of questions from all th directions . He gave up & decided to scream at top of his voice & then he did ;
" STOP IT GUYS !!!!!!!! LET ME SPEAK !!!!! "
All went silent at once but for Samrat . He had kept all quiet through the discussion but now he needed to pour out his irritation before it boiled him . Samrat let sarcasm fill his voice & he said from behind
" TO BOLO NA !!!!! Who the hell has GAGGED you ??????? "
" Huh ????? Who the hell has what you ??????? "
The entire class said in unison & looked in the direction of Samrat questioningly . Samrat got even more irritated . His high English vocabulary was out of range of his classmate's little brains . He just closed his eyes in frustration & took a deep breath to translate his sentence . He exhaled sharply & said ,
" ARRE mera matlab tha TO BOLO NA !!!! Kisne tumhare muh pe patti bandhi hai ???????? "
" OH !!!!!! "
The entire class said in understanding unison . Then suddenly Uday & Benji ( Samrat's chuddy buddies though he had met them in college ) came up on the class lecture platform to control the situation ( Hopefully !!!! ) .
B :- " Arre Rahul tu kya aise hi yahhan khade ho ke sabke chehre dekhega ???? Schedule nahi btaana hai kya ??? "
R : - " Haan main wahi to ''' "
B & U ( in unison ) :- " Bhaane bnana band kar aur seedhe seedhe bta !!!!! "
Rahul gets busy with the schedule & Benji and Uday gestures each other " ALL THE BEST " to face their highly irritated Sammy . Samrat starts gathering his things to leave the room but Benji & Uday stops him .
B :- " Arre Samrat shatabdi Express ki tarah kahaan bhaaga ja rahaa hai aur by the way tu itna irritated kyun hai Rahul se ???? "
S :- " Benji !!! Main irritated rahul se nahi is stupid tour ki discussion se hun . Meri saari guitar ki dhun kharaab kar fi is shor ne . "
U :- " Samrat yaar !!!!! Chill kar na !!!! Ek chhoti si tune hi to thi '''''
But Samrat's angry glares didn't allow him to complete . Benji lightly hits his head with his hand from behind Samrat & gestures Uday to shut his mouth completely !!!!
B ( trying to save Uday ) :- " Aaabbb aaabbb bbb Samrat !!!!!! Main kya keh rha hun ke is baar tu bhi chal na hum logon ke sath , bahut enjoy karenge yaar !!!! "
Samrat tries to calm himself down as he didn't want to argue with Benji or Uday because he knew they both just cared for him & loved him as much as he did .
S :- " Benji pls ''' Tum to jante ho mujhe ye sab pasand nahi hai . "
B :- " Haan dude but ye hamara last year hai college main . Please na Sam chal na yaar !!!!!!
Samrat smiles lightly and puts his hands on Benji's & Uday's shoulders by standing between them .
S :- " Tum log jao !!!!!! Enjoy karo !!!! Waise bhi mujhe sab kuch pta chal hi jayega , tum dono ke pet main aaj tak koi baat pachi hai kya ??? aur waise bhi agar tum logon ne schedule nahi suna to pkakka kahiin kho jaoge wahaan pe !!!! You guys go ahead main tumhara canteen main wait karta hun !!!!!!! "
B & U ( disappointingly ) :- " OK ! Chal bye . "
They turn to listen to rahul for schedule . Samrat shakes his head sweetly on the innocence of his best friends . He is so lucky to have them .
R :- " Ok guys !!! You have the entire schedule now !!! "
B & U ( in unison ) :- " Gadhe pura schedule bta diya lekin ye to bta ke jaana kahaan hai ??? "
R ( smiling sheepishly at his foolishness ) :- " Oops !!!! Sorry !!! Oh ya !! Guys we are heading towards " SHIMLA " in just 4 days . "
Samrat was starting to move out of the class but just then one word in Rahul's whole crap froze him to his place locking his joints in between the classroom doors ''''
