I think, it matters whether the same FF is being copied or only the concept is being taken.

U still need permission from writer

FF is being copied. Only d names of d lead couple has been changed. I don't know whether permission has been taken though credit has been given to d original writer.

If it amounts to plagiarism I'll post d link of d ff which is a copy.

I Have a request to the modz.. of this forum and others.. I had recently felt very bad when one member had copied many of my works and other members work and posted as her own changing the names to Geet and Maan... She did from a long time. in that forum... .and it was really weird that the modz removed the whole stories but they didnt mention to the readers that the writer had copied...

Again she copied the work posted as her own and loads of readers she has for hercopied work and on her blog as well.. i had last time also requested the modz in that forum to let the readers know that her work has been removed as it was not hers but a copied one.. but they didnt and now she is here on this forum cheating many..and after the complains am sure she will like to be on her blog cheating... why not the readers here know how many stories she copied so that they innocently dont get fooled by her there as well after reading her work here.. .. its needed.. DECLARE ON THE SITE WHY THE WORK HAS BEEN DELETED AND LET THE READERS KNOW her NAME ID and know she CHEATED... So that readers r aware.. when modz take action let us know who the person is... we would not read their work again..

Bhoomi, I don't remember this incident. Was it before I joined the Dev Team? The way I have been handling this siutation is that I do not trash the copied thread. Instead, I close the topic, and in the last post, I say that it is plagiarized. In a few cases, I have made a sticky post, but that was because those so-called authors had received awards for their stories. I felt that it was essential to inform the members who voted that they had been deceived. I cannot make such posts about all plagiarism incidents or there will be new sticky posts every other day.

I think Rabia can answer this better... But if due credit has been given to original writer then i suppose the writer (who has written it on a another couple) has taken persmission first.. Since she's giving credit to the org. writer..

Anyways do discuss with Rabia first.. I could be that she has given credit but haven't asked the org, writer.

Not in this forum dear.. In the geet maan forum , the ff were posted and i had reported my work and later came to know many more work which the writer copied and informed them. They surely took action.. and deleted the work. But i saw so many people following her work that I had requested them in the report that they make a sitcky and let the readers know why so many of her ff are closed... last page kahin chala jata hai... readers really dont know as those ff were completed ones.. copying and posting does take much time for the writer u see...

Now i saw her in this forum... strangely she copied another work.. i reported the work and as modz u may have got the report.. I believe she has too many readers already for her work many pages dedicated... and few nominating her too.. lol.. so i felt this time atleast make a sticky and let readers know she is copying.. she recently wrote in her ff that she will post more of her work in her blog.. lol..which has the copied stuff.. so the readers to come there and read... i was like she is cheating and readers r gettign so fooled... I felt when an action is taken if some how readers know they wont do that.. as a lesson let their ID be posted and so readers wont continue to read the copied stuff...
Sorry if i was sounding a bit agitated.. but surely not towards u or the other modz.. i was angry that she is continuing to fool.. and I felt bad for those numerous readers.. not only my SS has been copied but other writers their more than 30[35 pages are copied as it it only names are changed... with the same name id ...

anyways dear.. thanks for taking so much time... U all modz r doign a fantastic job..its just the people who copy and post have no shame at all after much warnings..
