Ek Prem Kahani part 3

Mayank was sitting at the Dining table fuming. His face was growing red, like a ripe tomato. Nupur tried to control her laughter.

'Apne breakfast khatam nahi kiya?'

She asked, trying her best to look innocent.

Mayank saw the beginning of a smirk on her face. He made an effort to bite back his anger.

Nupur giggled.

'By god, Jab aap itni cute tareeke se naraaz hote hain na, tho main aap pe aur bhi fida ho jaati hoon!'

She gave a dramatic pose and ruffled his hair. He grabbed her hand.

'Nupur. Baalon ke baareme maine tumse kya rule bataya tha?'

She straightened up and cleared her throat.

'uh hmmm. Rule number 44. Baalon ko kabhi haat mat lagaana.'

He smiled and pinched her cheeks.

'Very good.'

She slapped his hand off her face.

'Patni hoon ya khilona hoon. Iss ghar me paanch saal reheke mujhe abhi tak samajh me nahi aaya by god.'

She muttered angrily. He laughed forgetting that he had to be angry. She made a pouty face and turned away from him.

'Jao. Main aapse kabhi baat nahi karoongi. Jaake ek aur biwi dhoond lijiye. Mujhe aap se koi baat nahi karni.'

He gasped, pretending to be shocked.

'Sachchi Nupur?! Tum finally meri zindagi se dur jaa rahi ho??! By god, aaj tho mere zindagi samjho safal ho gayya! Phew!'

Nupur turned around and picked up the belan in her hand.

'aap bhi na! Mujhe aapse yeh umeed nahi thi! Mujhe divorce chahiye! Abhi!! Jao aur Sara ko dhund lijiye!' She stomped her foot like a child and stormed off in the direction of the kitchen. Mayank laughed silently to himself. He just loved it when she got angry at him!

::MEANWHILE::

'Chashmish…plz tum rona mat. Aur yeh batao ke tum kaisi ho? Itne saalon se tumse baat nahi ki hai! Plz Chashmish…mujhe sab kuch batao!'

He smiled to himself. Finally. Finally he had found his best friend. Gunjan sniffled over the phone.

'Kya batao Sam!!? Meri life me sab kuch galat ho raha hai!'

Samrat was worried now.

'Kyun kya hua Chashmish? Mujhe nahi bataogi?'

Gunjan was silent.

'Chashmish? Kya hua? Mujhe buhot dar lag raha hai!'

He clenched his fists. He was perspiring like anything.

'Nahi Sam. Main tumhe abhi nahi bata sakti. Tum Mumbai me hi ho na?'

Samrat was confused.

'Haan…par… hua kya hai… Mujhe kuch samajh-'

'Main tumhe abhi nahi bata sakti…mera matlab hai…phone pe nahi bata sakti. Mujhe tumse milna hai.'

Samrat was even more confused.

'Gunjan…tum kya bol rahi ho? Tum tho U.S me ho na? Hum kaise…mil sakte hain?'

He felt a sudden wave of sadness, knowing that he might never see Gunjan again. Gunjan, the one who had always been there for him. The one who always helped him through all the difficulties. The one person who was always by his side.

Gunjan sighed, exasperated.

'Sam! Main tumhe U.S aane ke liye thodi kahoongi? Obviously dude! Main Mumbai me hoon! Who…actually…mujhe tumhaari buhot zarurat hai Sam.'

He smiled. He could imagine her blushing.

'Really Chashmish! Tum Mumbai me ho! Ohmygodohmygodohmygodohmygod!!!!!!! Tum kab…kaise…I mean…-

Gunjan laughed.

'If u talk any faster, I won't be able to understand u!!! Tum aaj shyaam mujhe humme secret spot par milna. Ummm….tumhe yaad tho hai na, ke who kahan par hai?'

Samrat was too surprised to speak.

'uh-uhm-um.'

Gunjan laughed her heart wrenching laugh again.

'Ab itna bhi mat sochna! Waise bhi tumhe dimaag istemaal karneka kab se aadat hai! Kahi tumhaara dimaag phat na jaaye!'

samrat groaned, but he felt a smile pull up on his face.

'Stupid joke. Aur haan. Mujhe yaad hai.'

Gunjan became serious again.

'Tho phir 6 bajje wahan aa jaana. Main tumhaara intezaar karoongi. Achha, mujhe jaana hai. Main tumse baadme baat karti hoon! Bye!'

She cut the phone leaving Samrat with mixed feelings.
