will reply to all the comments personally later. as always i am in a hurry! so will just post the part! the part is in two halves...i havent written the second one but i thought why not post the first one...so here u go!! i actually found this part quite boring myself...so if anyone feels like sleeping.....well do so..!!! and tell me you yawned!!

Part 3- MN

"Damn it", Nupur panted for breath as she ran up the stairs to her office floor. She was late today but because of her no-lift-only-stairs policy, she had to take the stairs and bear the consequences. "I am so loving this day", she muttered. It was 9:15, she was 15 minutes late and had this meeting with the "extremely important for our company" writer as quoted by adhiraj sir a.k.a Adi at 9. she rolled her eyes and got herself prepared for one of those punctuality pep talkes from Adi.

Strange na, their boss was not some 1000 yr old man with a round belly and tobacco stuck yucky teeth, always viraajmaan on his couch size chair looking like a pompous prat but a smart, handsome, gym going guy, although she would have to agree with the pompous prat part, she thought affectionately. Adi was one creature, sometimes totally 'guy' like arrogant and moody and sometimes totally 'brother' like affectionate. A friend more than a boss. But there was no running away from the rules set by him. Freako!!

She reached the office door and put a full stop to her character analysation express as she liked to call it. She entered the posh office area and saw Suhaani busy at the reception taking calls probably doing the task of saying no to all those writers whose works cannot be published by them. Nupur felt a wave of sadness wash through her. She knew how it felt to have been rejected for something that you put your heart and soul into. Something that you consider as an extension of yourself, a part of your being, your would-be book. But she felt helpless, she couldn't do anything. Sighing, she went to Suhaani.

"hiya Suhaani!, any messages for me?"

Suhaani looked at her over piled desk and extracted the packet containing nupur's daily mail and handed it to her. "you are in luck", she winked, " Adi's still not in." Nupur smiled back. Thankgod for small mercies.

"And what about that writer, the one more important then the PM?" she rolled her eyes again. The thing was that she knew he was an important writer, although she had just read one of his books which was a bestseller, but she hadn't particularly enjoyed some parts of the book. She somehow felt that he was a sadist and she absolutely hated the end of the text he had send this time, the company was dying to publish him and thought this book would be yet another bestseller. But Nupur was still against the end , and all this hyper for the writer just irritated her further.

"oh he still isn't here", replied Suhaani.

Still not here, God! These high powered writers and their attitudes, thought Nupur. "I am just gonna go up and tell Adi how..", she went on muttering to herself.

Once in her cabin, she waited for an hour or so for the writer to turn up but finally completely agitated and frustrated she thought of getting herself a coffee. Enough , she thought. Just as she was about to enter the lift to go down, she bumped into someone hurrying out of the lift.

"What?? Cant u see and walk?". The already agitated Nupur burst out on him.

"Woah! Chill! The same can be said for you" , replied the guy amused.

As was her habit, Nupur looked at the guy up and down, assessing him. He looked decently dressed and had an easy air around him, she would have even marked him up as a good looking guy had she not been in such a foul mood.

"whatever!", she muttered and went past him into the lift. The guy without futher ado proceeded.

"Wierdos!", grumbled Nupur as she made her way to the tiny coffee shop nearby. Suddenly someone tapped her shoulder; she turned and saw the same lift guy.

"What??", she said clearly irritated.

"what what??", he seemed to vbe amused yet again.

Duh, thought Nupur. "what do you want?", she said.

"oh that! Well, I had an appointment with you. You are Nupur aren't you. The receptionist told me. And since it was my fault that I was late, I though I must come over and talk to you.", he said sincerely.

" oh! So you are THE Mayank Sharma!! Well. You're right, you are terribly late! Just because you are some high…", she stopped herself in time remembering what Adi wanted. "whatever, its my coffee break and I need peace."

"are you always like this or have I earned some kind of a special " I dislike you" treatment??, he said bemused. " look I AM sorry, all the traffic and then I also woke up late today…", he went on.

"so? You were busy partying last night and I have to sacrifice my afternoon gor that. Fair enough! Guys!", she looked at him reproachfully.

He rolled his eyes," No! Actually I had a date and well, we got late", he said smiling widely.

She got irritated further. Who went on speaking about their personal live so openly, she thought. But why was she bothering, she had to do her job.

"Eh well! Wonderful! Now how may we proceed? U want to wait till my coffee break is over or..?" she began.

"Why don't we discuss over the coffee itself. I am sure you'll have no problems then", he smiled genuinely.

Nupur sighed. Adi really owed her this!
