Mayank was trying to sleep lying in his bed, but his eyes were eluded from any signs of sleep and was thinking about what had happened in Sajan engangement on terrace between him and Nupur. He was feeling guilty for losing his senses at her proximity. He was cursing himself for making things even more complicated. All what had happened on terace, after all that how he will face her now. Inspite of making her feel better, he did such a big mistake. Inspite of wipping off her tears he, wait! tear? She was crying but why? About whom she was talking?The pain in her eyes.... 'Oh God what i will do now' he said finally getting up from bed and moved towards balcony. His head was aching thinking about all this when his cell buzzed. He paced towards his bed and picked up the mobile from side table. His mother's number flushed at screen. Which brought a subtle smile at his visage inspite of so much complications, tention and frustration.
M: hello maa? kaise hain aap? (he spoke abruptly)
MM: acha bacho kiasi hon main, aa gayi meri yaad. Mujh to laga k to bhol hi gya hai k teri koi maa bi hai aur tera koi ghar bi hai........
M: maa please........
MM: maine tujhy good news dene k liye phone kiya hai......
M: good news? aur mujhy? (he asked confused but then suddenly with sparkle in his eyes) Dado maan gaye kya?
MM: maan nahi gaye , wapiss aa gaye hain.......
M: (collasped on couch) what? pehle problems thori thi kya jo ab yeh......
MM: shut up Mayu, apne dada ji ko problem boltey hove sharam nahi aati........
M: of cours aati hai sharam, after all Mayank Sharma jo hon.........
MM: (giggled and replied) to kab wapiss aa raha hai? (she asked coming to point finally)
M: wapis?
MM: Buhat ho gya Mayank, tere dada ji mujh se poch rahe thy tere bare main aur mujhy jhoot kehna para k main nahi jaanti hun......lekin yeh kab tak chaley ga......tu akhir chahta kya hai (she asked in a bit serious tone, as now the matter was out of her control)
M: maa tum janti ho na jo dado chahtey hain main wo kabi nahi kar sakta, aur ab to bilkul bi nahi.....
MM: kyon nahi kar sakta aakhir iss main problem ky hai? (she asked in a bit tensed tone)
M: maa please aap janti ho k main abi office join nahi karna chahta hun aur dado meri shaai apne uss dost ki beti se karwana chahtey hain, lekin main usse pasand nahi karta aur ab to .......(then he bit his tounge at what he was going to reveal)
MM: ab to kya? (she asked suspiciously)
M: ab to kuch nahi, main bas nahi aaon ga jab tak dado meri baat nahi maan lete.......
MM: lekin beta......
M: maa please aap mujhy force nahi karo gi, aap ne promise kiya tha mujhy.....
MM: lekin meri baat to sun.....
M: (cutting her in) maa buhat raat ho gayi hai, good night........ (with this he disconnected the call)
"Please God help me" he prayed and tried to sleep, after a while he dozed off with signs of anxiety still visible on her face.
Mayank got up early in the morning, actually he was not sleeping properly. Everything was disturbing him a lot. Now one more problem was his dada ji. If he was stubborn then his dado was his Grandfather. He was way more than Mayank. He wanted Mayank to join office but Mayank being a careless, lazziest person didn't wanna do this. But it was not because of his carelessness, he wanted to make his own ways by himself, on his own. He didn't wanna be called as grandson of Jay Sharma. He wanted to make his own identity. But his Dado's point was he can make his own identity by spreading their business even more. But Mayank was not ready to listen. Moreover his Dado wanted Mayank to get marry with the grandaughter of his friend, and this was the last desire of his son, Mayank's father, his dado just wanted to fullfil his son's last wish but Mayank strictly rejected the proposal as he never liked that girl. And now the case was even more complicated as he now loved Nupur, that too madly. He couldn't even think of any other girl even in his worst dream.
He was sitting on chair of dinning table in kitchen trying to read newspaper but mind was lost in the previous night incident. After some time Samrat came and saw Mayank in kitchen that too early at 7 am. Mayank was most laziest person but now a days there were seen a lot of changes, good ones of course. May be he was trying to become responsible or it was his love's effect. But whatever it was, Samrat was happy for him.
S: Mr. Majno kya baat hai, subah subah, main ne to suna that pyaar main log nikamey ho jatey hain but yahan to kuch ulta hi case hai......(he said in taunting tone)
M: tum apna kaam karo, main alreay buhat preshan hon (mayank replied little bit irrritated)
S: oh really, Nupur nay mana kar dia kia, (he asked sitting on chair opposite him)
(Mayank glared at him dangerously but in return samrat giggled)
S: uff yeh tumhari violetnt streak.........but koi faida nahi, mujh pe iss ka koi asar nahi ho ga.......
Mayank got up to get ready for office, as it was useless arguing with him. Even because he was already worried about the circumstances which directly, indirectly were created by him only. but then Benji came........
B: beta aisa muh banane se kya ho ga......ham ne kaha that tujhy k pyar kar....aur wo bi Nupur se...
M: dekh benji.........(pointing finger at him)
B: (cutting him off) dekh to raha hun.......dekho samrat kya haal ho gya hai bechare ka.......lekin pyaar ka aisa hi anjaam hota hai.......aur waise bi Mirza Galib kya khub farmatey hain........
M: (frustrated now) farmaney do jo farmatey hain, main kya karon.......
S: arey sun to lo.........Irshad benji......irshad....
B: (clearing his throat in loud voice and then spoke) Mirza Galib Farmatey hain.......
Pyaar karney se pehle pyaar ka anjaam dekh lo.....

S: wah wah wah............
But Mayank was constantly glaring at both of them.
B: (he continued further) pyaar karney se pehle pyaar ka anjaam daikh lo.........
.............................................agar phir bi samaj na aaye to Gajni ya Tere Naam dekh lo.........
With this both burst out laughing holding their stomach, While Mayank was burning there, he wanted to hold a knife from shelve and stabbed them but then they were his friend after all. So he let them laughing there and went out casting a last murderous look at both of them.
After getting ready he went out of apartment and stopped there infont of Nupur's aunt's apartment. He wanted to talk to Nupur but it was not right time may be so he decided to meet her after returning back. He heaved a sigh and went from there.
The whole day in office he was trying to think how he will face her, what he will say to her. But this was it, whatever would happen now but he will confess his love today only. Doesn't matter she will say yes or no but atleast she will come to know about his feelings. He was not able to live with his unconfessed feelings anymore. And now he had also to think something about his dado. What if he will found where he is. He will have to make him understand what he wanted to do but how? So many question but no answer. After a hectic day he returned back. After taking shower he was drying his hair with towel when Samrat came in and asked him to come outside.
He was confused at his weird behaviour but came out quickly. Gunjan was sitting there in living room. He pouted coming in the living room......
M: oh hi gunjan, tum yahan.....well kal hi to engangement hoi aur aaj........(trying to behave calmly)
G: han just aise hi, so what up? Nupur se baat hoi........
But Mayank didn't say anything, heaved a sigh and then shook his head in no as he sat on couch opposite her.
M: lekin aaj to main surely usse.......
B: aaj........well great then go ahead......wait kiss baat ka hai......(benji cut him off and said this in sarcastic tone)
Mayank sensing that there was something wrong looked at Samrat and Gunjan but they were also quiet.......
M: baat kya hai......
G: Mayank, wo........wo Nupur wapis chali gayi hai aaj hi........
M: ( firstly trying to fanthom what he had heard was right but then getting up at once) what??? lekin aise kaise....i mean yun achanak........kyon? (he asked impatiently)
G: i don't know , even k mujhy bi kisi aur ne building main se bataya. Maine bi uss se nahi mili........aur aunty, uncle aur piya bi uss k sath gayye hain........i don't know k kya hoa aur kyon gayi wo lekin........
Mayank recollected terrace incident. 'this could be the only reason of her sudden going away from here. He was standing stunned there, with his guilt overpowering him. Then coming out of his trance he asked immediately....
M: where does she live, adress......
G: umm i....i... don't know.....(she said getting up from sofa as she shrugged)
M: what, she is ur frind na, so why don't you know her adress.......
S: han gunjan, wo tumhari friend hai, uss ka adress to tumhien pata hi ho ga.....
G: i know, lekin hamari friendship yehi per hoi thi......na hi kabi maine uss ka adress pocha aur na hi kabi uss ne bataya....even i don't have her cell no.......
B: Nupur ki aunty........unn se poch saktey hain ham........(benji suggested)
G: lekin wo bi Nupur k sath hi gayye hain........ab ham kaise pata karien gay.........
S: DAMN it.............maine tujhy kaha tha bol de bol de iss se pehle k dair ho jaye.........lekin nahi........(he said in concerned but lttle bit loud voice to Mayank, who himself was worried about all this.)
Benji place hand on Samrat's shoulder to calm him down. Samrat heaved a sigh and spoke....
S: to phir kya karo gay ab...........?
But Mayank was quietly sitting on couch gawking at some point on floor, nothing was in his mind then, again and again Nupur's face was coming infront of his eyes. He blinked his eyes to fade away her imgae from his eyes but was unsuccessfull in doing so. He closed his eyes and then spoke.......
M: main usse dondh kar hi rahon ga..........chahe kuch bi ho jayye........
B: lekin kaise, hamien to pata bi nahi k wo kahan rehti hai, kuch bi to nahi pata.....
M: i don't know k kaise main sirf itna janta hun k main uss se pyaar karta hun, aur usse iss tarha khud se door jata nahi daikh sakta..........wo chahe jahan bi ho, main usse kisi bi tarha dondh nikalon ga........i can't even think my life without her, I love her....I love her
G: (placing hand on his shoulder) tum agar sach main uss se buhat pyaar kartey ho Mayank, to wo tumhe zaror miley gi......i am sure about it.....
M: (faking a smile at her) thanks Gunjan.......
Benji and Samrat too came farward and promised to help him in finding Nupur. He was determined to find her at any rate. But this was not so easy, they even don't know in which city she lived. Mayank didn't know that she could go away like this , even without telling anyone. If it was because of him, then atleast she could have tell him once. He wanted to talk to her, he wanted to know why she did this, and what was in her mind, about whom she was talking there on terrace? But this was only possible if he will ever found her. But how, where? He didn't know.
For whole one week he was searching her madly. Trying to contact different people, from different places. The only thing which he came to know was that she was in same city where he was. But in such a big city it was nearly impossible to find of a girl of whom he only knew name. But he had to. He just knew that he had to find her, that's it.
Mayank was now always seemed depressed, with each passing day his guilt and worry was enhancing, he was trying hard to get any clue about Nupur but it was as if destiny itself was parting his ways from Nupur. Since one week he was trying to search Nupur but all in vain. Samrat and Benji were also with him. One day they took Mayank out to make him feel better. They were in a restaurant having their dinner while Benji and Samrat both were trying to cheer him up.....
B: arey Mayank tum kyon itna preshan ho rahe ho.......Nupur mill jaye gi yaar.......
S: of course Mayank, atleast hamien itna to pata chala hai k wo issi shehar main hai....
M: i know, but.........i wanna see her guys......main usse buhat miss kar raha hun......(he said making a sad face then shaking his head smilingly)......itne dinno se uss ki dant nahi pari na......
Samrat and Benji too giggled reminding about the way Nupur used to get angry on Mayank, and all those days when Mayank and Nupur use to fight. Even Mayank was recollecting about their first meeting where he broke her crystal piece and she was speaking a million words in a breath, and where he first time saw her making aaloo k parthas but that time he wasn't looking her but was gazing the delicious parathas that she was making. Remembring his sillyness, or folishness will be appropriate word, a subtle smile crept his visage. All those sweet memories came rushing to his mind that he didn't know when his eyes became moist.
Samrat placed hand on his shoulder and gesturing from eyes to relax, everything will be fine again and that too soon. Samrat turned to benji who was looking in opposite direction.....
S: kia kar raha hai tu.......
B: kuch nahi, wo main kuch soch raha tha
S: kya?
B: yehi k ham logon ko shor cut proposal dena chahiye girls ko?
Mayank raised his brows not understanding a word of Benji, he continued further
B: dekho, to impress a girl we should ask her adress first, to ki problem nahi ho gi....
S: acha ji ussi tarha jab tu ne apna short cut trick apply kiya tha.....(coughs and spoke imitating benji's voice) excuse me, what is ur adress......Aur yaad hai Mayak larki ne kya kaha.....
B: arey chor na yaar...kyon purani baton ko...
M: kya kaha? (finally Mayank took interest)
S: let me tell you......yeh mister us larki k pass gaye aur kaha what is ur adress miss? Uss ne pocha aap kyon poch rahe hain? to hamare benji ne kaha.....aik din barat jo le kar aani hai......
Mayank chuckled hearing this and looked towards Benji to which he replied
B: so what, kabi kabi plans fail bi ho jatey hain.....
then he looked at other direction and got up saying "main abi aaya guys"
S: kahan ja rahe ho yaar?
B: kuch nahi main abi aaya..........(he spoke as he moved towards that direction, where a beautiful girl was standing, may be waiting for someone. Mayank and Samrat too looked at him going to a girl.
S: yeh pitty ga uss se.......(samrat pouted)
Mayank too giggled at Samrat's words..........Benji waved at them and raised his collar......and turned to face girl........
B: excuse me........(he initiated in a cool manner to get her attraction)
G: yes?
B: mujhy pehchana aap ne?
G: ji nahi.......kon hain aap? (she asked confused)
B: (smiling foolishly) hehe.....main wohi hon jisse aap ne parso bi nahi pehchana tha.......
.......................SLAP.....................
Mayank and Samrat were rolling there holding their stomach. Benji was sitting there infront of them looking down at his soup and was being irritated by their continuous laughing.....
B: stop it guys..........aik hi thappar mara hai bas...........iss main itna hasne ki kya zarorat hai?
M: tujhy kiss ne kaha tha uss k pass ja..........thappar khaney..........(and again burst out laughing as high fived with Samrat)
S: (still laughing) kya hero ki tarha wahan gya tha.......but........
B: daikh sammy.....enough hein.......buhat ho gya.......(pointing finger at him)
S: nahi to kya kar lo gay.........(samrat retorted)
B: abi batata hon..........(he pouted getting up from his chair, while Samrat scurried out of restuarant with benji following him.)
Mayank was smiling there looking at his both friends. He paid for the dinner and himself came out of resruarant to find where they were now.......
He was looking them around when he saw a retreating figure infront of a shop at other side of road. It didn't took him even a second to recognise who was that. He blinked hie eyes twice to make sure what he was seeing was true or his imagination. But it was in real not his imagination. His happiness knew no bounds as he saw her there. After almost one week he was seeing Nupur, his love, his life. He gasped looking her there and ran hands through his hair. He had seached her everywhere and now she was infront of his eyes. But he noticed that she wasn't alone there. She was there with Adiraj, her friend, as she had told them in engangement. 'He is just friend of her, stop assuming things Mayank' He chiddded himself. As he noticed she bidded good bye to Adiraj, he left from there after huggging her and now Nupur was heading towards her car with some shopping bags in her hand. Mayank didn't even think for a second and just rushed towards her crossing road with great difficulty beacause of a lot of traffic. Many vehicles hardly stopped and he was having a narrow escape from a severe accident. But ultimately he crossed the road and ran towards Nupur. She was about to open the door of driving seat when he yelled out her name......"NUPURRRRR"
