Hey guys...

I have some news.

Firstly, I'd like to thank you all from the bottom of my heart. I was welling up just reading the masses of comments from all of you. I didn't expect for so many people to show me so much love. I've read each and every comment. I promise. But I'm so swept off my feet nowadays that my mum's illness hasn't even stopped me from sleeping like the dead every night. I'm exhausted. So I can't reply to each one individually and for that I apologise but I have some news.

I've visited my mother all week.

The docs say that she's recovering remarkably well, so well in fact that they've taken her off the heart monitor. She's stable. Only 2 days after brain surgery.

Call me delusional but I really think you guys have something to do with this. Your prayer's are working. Our prayer's are working. She now knows she's had an operation but she is still paralysed on her left side and she doesn't know it.

Her face is still slightly lopsided.

Her speaking is absolutely fine but she doesn't sound like mummy.

She knows where she is, who we are and what year it is. But she just doesn't knw the extent of her illness.

She doesn't know it'll take up to a year to get her left side working again, if it starts working again.

I just want to rant about a situation today.

So mum asked the nurse to call us, and as you can imagine my heart leapt out of my chest to get a call from the hospital.

I spoke to mum and she said weakly that she was scared and lonely and she wants us there...3 hours before visiting hours.

We got there to find that the bitch in the bed next to her ended up teasing her about the fact that a quarter of her head was shaved from the operation.

Who does that?

She's gone now...she didn't have anything wrong in the first place. She had just demanded to stay in hospital for 3 days because she thought 'something was wrong'.

My heart broke to see my mum so scared.

But I'm just whining. My mum's recovering well, she got moved from critical care to the hyper acute stroke unit and in a few days she's moving hospital to start rehab. So her brain's okay, just her paralysis that needs sorting.

Thank you, I never thought she would recover so quickly.

I'm a pessimist.

I honestly don't think I could have done it without you guys. This is just the beginning of th journey.

I'm laughing, smiling, joking, running around with my family. Having seen other family's I know she could have been alot worse. We're okay.

It seemes a lifetime ago that I saw my mum before the op....

I'm rambling...how boring it must be for you guys to read this. Geez.

Thank you...thank you.....thank you again.

I know you guys have been praying and its worked wonders. Please carry on...I'm a selfish being.

My new friends, my old friends...youll never know how much I appreciate you.

Breathless WILL resume mid feb. My heart's a little rested to do so.

Hey Shrina!!!!!

I am glad to hear that your mom is responding to the treatment!

And you dont have to feel sorry for talking to us about your problems! Trust me, its not boring at all. In fact I am glad you decided to tell us about it and talking only helps deal with a situation better. I for one am always there for you no matter what.

Awww! Dont worry about people like those at the hospital. They are not worth your thoughts at this time at least

I am glad your family is handling this in a better way. Family support always helps!!!

Aww I am really happy that you are carrying on with life just the same. And if you do plan to update, I will definitely make sure I read it even if I have my boards! loll

You mom will be in my prayers! I hope she recovers really fast!

And one more thing!!! Never say bye! lol I just dont like seeing someone say bye lol I know it may come across as weird, but looking at someone say bye makes me sad lol

And always keep that smile on your face!

Shrinzie honey be very very strong for your mom. InshAllah she'll be okay and healthy once again. I'll be praying for her. I know exactly how you feel right now... I just lost my dad to cancer last Saturday. Be brave jaan. Me and my mom will pray for her.
