well here we go again, meela i loveeeeeeeee your ff, it is sooooooo unique and its totally like a fairy tale, i guess thats what it is intended to be, but really it is simply awesome.
I loveeeeee the way you have brought the old maharajas and the traditional hindi language back to the picture is amazingggg.
It tells alot about your respect for this language and i also feel that you have been a good history student and taken keen interest in history in school, well i could be wrong too.
But all in all it was excellent, mayank is so adorable and so is nups, waiting for the next update,

its okay dear, dont bother to say sowie!!!

i respect every language or better say i try to! u must have been noticed that i am emphasizing on old hindi only in the formal situation, otherwise i am keeping it simple using normal hindi and even english to relate with our state of mind better. besides, it gives me an extra advantage, since hindi is not my mother tongue and since i never really learnt (official way) hindi as well, using english time to time is easier for me as well as its easier for the readers to grabb it quicker...

Update 2

Varanda of the palace

u (fidgeting): ye tumne thik nahin kiya mayank! Mera matlab hain, jab tum raja banoge tab tum use fire kar dena! Us liye apna chance kiu gavana?

M: baat power ya phir authority ki nahin hain, baat lihaaz ki hain! main pitaji ki pasand na pasand ko waise andekha toh nahin kar sakta na?

U: par mayank!

M : mujhe complete karne do uday, waise bhi tum toh jantehi ho mujhe badshah banne me koi dilchastvi nahin, aur samrat

U: ek minute, isme samrat ka kya?

River banks

S (in some unusual knee length shorts, coming out of the waters): benji, zara mera kapda lana yaar! Kya hua? Itna der kiu (he freezes as he finds benji and his horse missing, so are samrat's clothes) damn!!!!!!! (he keeps looking around for his best friend) ye kis janam ka dushmani nikal raha hain yaar!

Uyank

M: samrat abhi bhi thode nadan hain, bahat hi bachkana harkate karta firta hain! main chahta hoon is zimedari ki zariye usko apna zimedari ka ahsaas ho.

U: par mayank, kya samrat tum jaisa raja ban payega?

M: wo mera bhai hain uday! (smiles) waqt aane pe zarur ban ke dikhayega!

Samrat in a backyard

Samrat is looking for scope hiding behind bushes to make a run for the cloth shed. After a while when the number of passing people decreases a bit, he makes it to the shed unnoticed.

S (blaming his luck as browsing the female clothes ): yaar samrat tujhe yehi jaage mila tha kapde (he gets frozen as a female voice shouts, 'chor!!! Chor!!' he makes his move promptly recognizing the sound of running footsteps here and there, as they are still confused about the source of the noise, b4 gunjan cud make another 'cho''out, samrat muffles her with his palm and drags her to the darkest corner of the shed, he keeps looking left to right to make sure where the people are going. Gunjan keeps staring at him with terrified eyes.)

Nupur's room

Nupur is bz giving the final touch on the portrait she made of gunjan's.

L (from behind): kya tasvir hain nupur! Chinta mat karna kaal ka comepetition toh tuhi jitegi!

N (straightening up her brows): thanks di, par ek baat puchhu?

L: haan puchh na?

N: tumhe toh gunjan ki shakal se hi nafrat hain, aur usiki hi tasvir tumhe aacchhi laagne lagi? Ye baat kucchh ajib nahin hain?

L (smirking): agar us manhoose ki tasvir se hum 1000 gold coins jit jaye toh

N (laughing hard, making lavanya stop): toh phir ye baat hain? Par di,tab to tum mere liy dua karna chhor hi do kiuke agar main jit bhi gayin na, toh us jit ki saari rakam main gunjan aur rimjhim ki school me donate karnewali hoon.

L: kya! Tu pagal ho gayin hain kya? Itne sari paise us toonte-foonte se school me

N: isi liye hi toh di, hum se kahi zyada us school ko us paio ki zarurat hain,

L : nupur, samajhne ki (something else draws her attention and makes her forget what she has been saying) itna shor kaisa hain niche? Zara dekh na nupur ?

N (peeping outside the window): sab log kuchh zyadahi jaldi me lag rahe hain

L: kya? Par kiu?

N (exasperated): tum jaake dekho di, mujhe ye tasvir puri karni hain.

Lavanya leaves, nupur goes back to the easel.

The shed

Some1 comes near to the entrance of the shed, seeing this gunjan tries her best to make some noise to draw his attention, and succeeds to some extent as the some1 enters the shed and keeps looking here and there. Samrat now pushes gunjan down still muffling her and hides her under himself. Tho the sound of the approaching footsteps very threatening but still, gunjan manages (tho not willingly) to drag samrat's attention to herself by wriggling and struggling for freedom. Samrat for the very first time looks properly at her and gets a bit shocked (as if bumping on to something unexpected) staring in her eyes, he kinda gets lost in them (tho he won't be ready to agree, even to himself), gunjan too forgets to fight for a while and keeps looking in his eyes for a while equally dazed (as if she is gonna agree!) moments tick by, then gunjan feels blood creeping over her veins to her face and she looks down abruptly making the contact to be broken. Samrat to feels a bit awkward but b4 he cud say or do anything a hand touches his shoulder from behind.

Mayank and maharani

Mr: dia ne zid pakad ke baithi hain ki, kaal ke art competition ki inauguration tumhi karo.

M: par maa aap toh jante hain ki main koi jhutha vaada nahi kar sakta,

Mr: jutha vaada?

M: agar samrat ne

Mr (interrupting mayank, forcing herself to believe): mujhe pura yakin hain, sirf kaal kya , meri ankhri saans tak mere samrat aur tum dono hi mere sath rahoge.

M (trying to put his faith on hers): thik hain maa, us competition ka inauguration main hi karunga.

Mr smiles.

Shed

B (astounded): samrat tu yaha kya kar raha hain? (though they keep the perfect rajkumar-senapati thingy on royal court but outside they re only friends) wo bhi ek ladki ke sath?

S (standing up abruptly ,sighing heavily): wo kapda dhundne ayatha, ab tu bol , tune aisa ghatiya joke ,,,,,shhhhh( samrat almost puts a finger on gunjan's trembling lips, but doesn't need to as gunjan seems very alarmed and still very shaky of this nazdikhiyan thing with samrat, to make anymore chaos, she is not even looking at samrat as he is apparently shirtless, looking at her stage a sweet smile plays around samrat's lips then he kinda barks at benji) tera dimag toh kharab nahin hua na? tune is terha ki

B : yaar pehle (handling over his clothes,interrupting him) ye pahen to le aur phir mera jawab sun, (gunjan takes an about turn as samrat begins to wear his clothes making samrat smile once again) hua ye ke, mera thoda ankh lag gaya tha aur jab neend toonta toh dekha ke tere kapde gayaab!

S (confused): phir ye tujhe kaha se mila?

B: bazaar se, ek chhotasa ladka ye bechneki koshish kar raha tha, maine use ye wapas le li, ladka chhota tha to use maine maaf kar diya.

S: thik hi kiya tune benji, par agar morena ki bacche chhori karne laage toh

G (cutting in): agar bade chori pe utar aaye (stealing a glance at samrat, making sure whether it is safe or not to look at him now) toh bacchose kaisa umeed?

B (begins irritably): tum chor kisse keh rahi ho haan? Tumhe pata bhi hain ye kaun

S (stopping him): dekho hum chor nahin hain, abhi abhi toh tumne suna ke mera kapda chori ho gaya tha, isi liye

G: aap ko chor banna pada (benji gulps the protesting words as samrat shakes his head) aur na jaane (gunjan throws a tetchy look at him and blushes deeply clearly remembering the whole situation, and reminding him of that as well) kya kuchh bhi!

S (with a hint of smile in his lips takes a step forward to her but the distance between them remains the same as gunjan takes a step backward as well, looking at him terrified, samrat's smile broadens at this) : dekho, mujhe wo karna pada! Tumne dekha than a kaise logo ne (they all freezes, as a loud 'Gunjan' hits their ears, lavanya is at the door)

Raja & rani at their chamber

Mr(pleading): maharaj! Aap kripa karke, dubara sochie, samrat ka faisele se mayank ko

Ru(interrupting): aap bahat aachhi terha samajhti hain, maharani, ye faisala maine kiu liya, main rajkumar mayank ki shaq ke liye prabhat Shankar ki itne dino ki wafadari pe sawal nahin utha sakta! Use uski kursi se nikal nahin sakta main,raja hokar mantrri ke sath itna bada anyay nahin kar sakta main!

Mr (with tearful eyes): aur apne bte ke sath? Uske sath anya,,,,

Ru (getting emotional only for a fraction of a second, then gets back to himself): koi avichar nahin ho raha hain mayank ke sath! Wo khud is shart ko apna manzuri diya hain

Mr: maharaj ekbaar,,,,,sirf ekbaar ek baap banker toh sochiye! Toh shyad aap,,,

Ru (shutting her up with a hand gesture): faisala ho chuka hain, maharani, ab ise koi bhi bhi nahin badal sakta!

Shed

Hiding them deeper in to the darkness to their surprise, gunjan steps forward to the light to face lavanya.

L (seeing her): itne der tak yaha kya kar rahi hain tu?

G (nervously): wo,,,, di ,,,main,,,,(as the cloths in the bucket catch her eyes)haan,,,, ye kapde,,,,

L (snapping): bas ! ab apna ye kaam ka bhajan mere aage bajana bandh kar! (she begins to leave then halts) aacchhaa sun thodi der pehle jo hungama huva us vaare me tujhe kuchh pata hain kya?

G (shaking her head frenetically): nahin toh!

L : kya nahin toh? Tu us waqt yehi thina? Tab tujhe kaise nahin pata? (suspiciously) ya phir mujhse kuchh chhupa rahi hain tu?

G (trembling):nnnn nahin di, main kiu (locating a goat outside the window) aare haan! Yaad aaya! Ek bakra chhut gaya tha

(benji looks incredulously at samrat, samrat looks awed)

G (continues): aur yaha ghus aya (at this benji breaks into a silent laughter making samrat more irritated) toh hum sab usiko pakadne ke liye (benji point his finger at samrat still laughing , moves his lips which easily looks like 'tu!!!bakra!!!!!' samrat wipes his laughter off showing his fist to him, benji signs cool it) wo kya hain ke,,,haan,,,bhag rahe the,,,

L leaves shaking her head muttering something like,' ek bakra ke pichhe kahi sare bak,,,'

Gunjan sighs in relief but jumps at samrat's heated accusation, '' tumbe mujhe bakra kaha? Tumhari itne himmat kaise hu,,,'

G (pulling herself together) : ab toh sirf bakra bane ho, agar abhi nahin jaoge toh,,,

S (interrupting): toh? Kya kar logi tum? Huh?

G looks at benji at this point pleading.

B (stepping in): yaar chal, yaha se nikal, agar pakda gaye na izazat ki toh dhajjya udh jayenge!

G: haan ab jaao yaha se , agar dubara koi aa jaaye toh main nahin karne wali koi madat,,,sharif dikhte ho is liye

S: sirf dikhta nahin hoon,,,hoon bhi sharif,,,samrat hoon main!samrat!

G: naam samrat hain! Aur kaam chor ka! Aur suno, sirf naam ka samrat hone se koi sachmuch samrat nahin ho jata,,,

S (looking at benji): benji , khade khade mera muh kya dekh raha hain?bol de iseke main,,,

Before benji open his mouth as someone calls gunjan's name from a distance

B almost drags samrat outside, gunjan exhales.

Night at kings chamber

Raja, rani , samrat and mayank are standing in different position.

Ru (stopping infornt of samrat): rajkumar mayank ne shahi takht me na bithne kaa faisala le chukka hain,,, in halath me, kya aap ye zimedari uthaneke liye taiyar hain?

S: par pitaji, aapko ye nahin lagta ke hum is mamle me bahat hi jaldbaazi se aage bar rahe hain?

Ru: aapka kehne ka matlab kya hain rajkumar samrat?

S: mera kehne ka matlab ye hain ke pitaji, kiu na rajkumar mayank ko sochneke liye thode aur

Ru (signing him to stop): rajkumar mayank,,, kya aap rajkumar samrat se is mamle me sehmat hain?

M (stepping forward, on a parallel line of samrat, who nods hopefully at him, mayank smiles a bit at him in reply, faces the king): main apna faisala bahat soch-samajhkar le chuka hoon, mujhe sochneke liye aur waqt nahin chahie.

Ru (grinding his teeth together at mayank's attitude, moves toward the clearly dishearted samrat): aur aap samrat?

S: pitaji mere ek aur darkhwast ye hain ke rajkumar mayank

Ru: rajkumar samrat, rajkumar mayank apna faisala suna chuke hain , ab us faisala pe aur waqt zaya karne ka koi zarurat nahin hain, aap bataye ,,, kya aap morena ki raja banne ke liye tayar hain?

The cam keeps moving to and from one face to another, raja's intensity, rani's anxiety, mayank's steel face and samrat's nervous mug,,,,

S (gulping): nahin pitaji

Mayank looks at his mother who is clearly one the verge of tears and tries to smile to pacify her.
