I was sitting alone and just wondering abt the day which has passed by !!..one day which decide my fate and my life . I never thought i wuld be going for Arrange Marriage , untill i saw my parents feeling the burden of bringing up two daughters and there not-so-good financial condition . They never forced me to take this step but there was nothing to object for ! I was going in a good family , Shilpa aunty was jst like my mother and Mayank...hmm..he was someone any parent wuld wish there daughter to get married to ...but still there were insecurities building up in my mind , and the worst part was that i culdnt describe them also ..
I was filled up with work today , i had to finalise the designs for the new edition !..this was all going pathetic and added to it my cell buzzed , it was Gunjan
I knew there was somethng fishy , coz it was Gunjan who used to call me in office whenevr mom wanted me to do somethng which i will surely object to
Nupuur : haan bol gunjan
Gunjan : dii..kya kar rahi ho ?
Nupur : dance !!..
Gunjan : okkies ...
Nupur :Gunjan , tujhe bataya tha na meinne ki aaj bahut kaam hai mujhe , phir aaj jaldi bol kaam kya hai ma ko
Gunjan [in one go] : woh dii , tumhe mayank se milna hai aaj aapni lunch break mein aapne office pe paas waale cafe mein !
Nupur : gun-
before she culd speak , gunjan banged the phone !
''Crap..aab yeh mayank se kya milna hai ...goosshh..!!today i am defo fired out '...God help me plzzz !!''
I didnt have any other choice but to go and meet mayank . I worked as hard as i culd before the lunch break but it was not sufficient coz i culdnt complete my assignment. Half-heartedly i went to cafe
I was gonna enter the cafe when i tripped and my files went down , but thank God , i didnt fall...i took support of the door to cafe but with a BANG !!!
Mayank's POV
I was waiting for Nupur to come , as ordered by Mom , i had to meet her today again ....it was almost 10 minutes i reached when i heard bang sound !!!!..i turned my head and saw none other but Nupur !..She was standing there with her hands on her hips and looking towards the file lying down . She was loooking different with jeans and tee , her hairs tied in a pony - it was quite contrasting to wat i saw yeaterday , she was in suit and her hairs kept open ....but i must admit thatt she looked more prety with open hairs , but one thing which was still there was sparkle in her eyes and a smile on her face , this was soemthng which attracted me tthe most , evn yesterday , she was nervous but still she smiled and today , she looked pissed off but still she had that sparkle in eyes and smile on her face....Finally she bend down and picked up the files and came inside , eveyone was looking at her but she didnt evn bother abt the world around her , she walked upto me

Maynak: hii ..its okk !
Nupur finally seated down and they both looked lost , not in each other but lost for words ..
Mayank : soo...howz ur work going ?
Nupur [with not so good expression] : fine
Mayank : i hope tum busy nahin thi abhi
Nupur : nah..hmm..nahin
Mayank smiled a bit and nupur was bit surprised at it
Nupur : kya hua ? why are u smiling ?
Mayank : nothning..if u cant lie , then why are u trying for it ?
Nupur lost words...she was amazed !!..Mayank culd catch her evn when she lies...
Mayank : tum busy thi ?
Nupur : yeah..actually mujhe aaj designs finalise karne the ..and i havent done with it
Mayank looked at her innocent face , she was jst like a 10yr kid , whi has not finished her work
Mayank : ok..lets do one thing , tum jao aur aapna kaam khatam karo
Nupur : par ma
as nupur said , she kicked herself for being so foolish !
Mayank [smiled a bit] : dont worry ..hum shaam ko mil lete hain , isse tumhe ghar pe koi bolega bhi nahin
Nupur : thanx soo much !.
Myank : its okk!
Both mayank-nupur wnet out of cafe but nupur had soem differen ffeelings in her heart for mayank now..it was not LOVE ...but she felt that mayank was a gr8 guy !
I went back to office and did finish with my work , it was around 6 pm when i was free ...but how to contact mayank ...?.i dint have his number !!!
but then my cell buzzed and it was some unknow number
Nupur : hello
Mayank :hii..mayank here
Nupur :ohh..hii
Mayank : hope u are done with ur work !
Nupur : yeah..i am
both didnt speak for a while..but then , someone had to speak
Nupur : aaa..tum cafe aa sakte ho ?
Mayank : yeah..then see u there
Nupur : bye
we both met at the cafe again..but to be honest the meeting was too bore , h eboth use to talk for a min and then kkeep shut for nxt 5minutes and so on ...and in case we talked , Mayank only spoke abt academics and work-- the last topic i love to talk on ...the time went and finally mayank dropped me at home
Mayank : good nite
Nupur : good nite
i was gonna leave , wen mayank called me again
Mayank : nupur !!
I turned back and went towards the car
Nupur : haan..bolo ?
Myanak : hmm...u got bored ?
I didnt know , wat happened , it was not a joke but i smiled
Nupur : u know , i cant lie
he smiled back..he had such cute dimples..aww..
and went to home and he made his way to his own
I went inside and there Gunjan , mom were looking at me with weird looks
Nupur : hello.!!!
Mom went to kitchen , she knew that i never liked to talk abt these cheesy talks ..i was never that sought of girl .but my devil sister ..she was a tough nut to crack !
I went to room , after having dinner and helping dad with some arrangements for marriage ...for my marriage
Gunjan : dii..how was the date ?
I looked at her !...
Nupur : ''DATE ''
Gunjan got up from te bed and clutched the pillow and looked at me
Gunjan : yeah D-A-T-E..ur first date with jiju !!
Nupur : shut-up and good nite...
I went to my bed and switched off the light but Gunajn was still looking at me with raised eyebrows
Nupur [warning tone] : gunjan soo ja ....u are gonna get late for college tomorrow
Gunjan : i never get late..its always u , who have problem getting up early in the morning...
there was not point at arguing with her.,..coz i knew , the ball wasnt in my court
Nupur : good nite and it was not a DATE
i went near gunjan , gave her a peck on her cheeks and slept off !!
