i was sitting on the edge of the bed , when Gunjan came in
Gunjan : dii...kya kar rahi ho ? abhi tak ready nhain huyi tum !!
i didnt reply a word , i was looking at my image in the mirror , all dazzed -confused . Gunjan saw and came and knelt down next to me
Gunjan : tum teekh ho na dii ?
i came out of my thoughts and smiled weakly
Nupur : hmm,...teekh hoon
Gunjan : par lag toh nahin raha !
Nupur : pata nahin gunjan ..kabhi kabhi lagta hai ki ek ajanbi ke saath poori zindagi kaise nikalungii ..
i took a deep breathe and got up to get ready
Gunjan : phir tumne mummy-papa se kyun nahin kaha , ki tumne ladka nahin dekhna ?
Nupur : mein jaante hoon , tum yehi sooch rahi hogi , par zindagi meri sapno ke duniya nahin hai ...yahaan DDLJ ke Raj ke tarah koi nahin hoga aur na mein Simran ke tarah lucky hongi..mummy-papa ka yehi sapnahai aur phir jo unhone soocha hoga woh mere aache ke liye he hoga na .
I smiled a bit , this was the best way to console myself .....
I was standing in kitchen and gunjan placed the tea-cups in the tray for me to get it outside for my wuld-be-inlaws and husband
yeh humesha ladkiyon ko formality kyun karne padhti hai...kuch bhi kaho , yeh baat mein India poora filmy hai !!!!
I took the tray outside ...i didnt dare to look up..but mom kept on introducing me to everyone ...i served the tea to each one sitting there and then as a custom bend down to take blessings from my wuld-be-mother-in-law. She kissed me on my forehead and as we hear in hindi movies ''bahut pyaar bachhi hai'' , i looked up at her..but i dont know ,i felt the warmth in her smile .
then she introduced me to my wuld-be-husband ..Mr. Mayank Sharma , my eyes shot up ..i looked at him , he was well dressed in black suit ...i must say , he was looking hot !!!!...my heartbeats didnt go abnormal, neither i went hyperventilated but still i culd trace honesty in his eyes...

what am i dong here ...maa ko ladki photo dekhkar he aachi lag gayi thi and before coming to there place , they have already planned everythng....!!!
as i was already getting late for the meeting but culdnt utter a word coz mom strictly warned me against it...then my eyes went to a girl coming from kitchen , she was acrrying a tray but i culd make out that she was actually trembling , ''our customs are soo cruel'' ..but then my eyes went to her face as she stood opposite me..she was gorgeous and her best features were her eyes..dark brown dove eyes..we both settled down..but the uncomfortable air was making it difficult to evn stay there for a minute

i seated next to him , as my mother ordered ...we both didnt utter a word..it was our parents who were discussing about our wedding
wat an irony yaar..shaadi jiski hai ,usse toh kuch poocha bhi nahin jaata hai....
Finally the wedding was fixed ..it was in next month but engagement was planned after a week !!
then our parents decided to leave us alone for us to know each other better
how can two people know each other in 20 minutes ???
we both were left alone ..we looked at each othr and then turned other side...and in that 5minutes were wasted...finally Mayank took some deep breathe and began with the convo !
Mayank : hii !!
Nupur [wat an way to start the convo] : hii..
Mayank ; so tum kya karte ho ?
Nupur : i thought u must be knowing this !!!
Mayank smiled ..he was impressed by my guts , i thought ..but watever u say , he had cute dimples !
Myaank : yeh , u are a fashion designer
Nupur : and tum CEO in Microsoft !
Mayank : are u ready for the marriage ?
my eyes shot up..i was not expecting this ...
Nupur : is there any choice left ?
as i said this..he smiled and i smiled back..
we both were fixed in same situation.
