There he was , walking towards them.He looked the same and was dressed in a black suit.His eyes drifted towards her and she could not meet them, she could feel butterflies in her stomach. She wondered why he had the same effect on her even after so many years of college. Every step that he took towards her made the fluttering worse.oh she so wanted to run!but why?

Mayank:Congrats guys!finally!(handing them a boquet)

Samrat:thanks!

Gunjan:Aunty nahi aae.

Mayank:Nahi she wasnt feeling to well bu i think she make it to the wedding.
He smiled and turned his attention to greet the others and finally his eyes landed on Nupur.

(previously while he was walking towards them)

There he saw the entire excel gang including Nikhil standing in a large group.He started walking toward them and suddenly his eyes fell on nupur.She caught his eye but immediately turned away.She looked beautiful in a white embroidered saree with just bangles and a maang tikka.She had the same innocenes in her face.He quickly brought himself out of his reverie and went to congratulate Samrat and Gunjan.While Congratulating them he could feel her eyes on him.After wishing the others he turned towards her

Nupur Pov

Mayank turned towards her and said

Mayank:hi nupur

Nupur:hi Mayank

Mayank:kaisi ho

Nupur:achi.tum?

Mayank:main bhi acha hoon

By god Nupur! ye kaisi convo hai.Nupur kuch bhi kar par yaha se bhag aur jaldi warna bahut problem ho jayegi.

And then she got the perfect excuse.Her three very close friends and colleages had just entered the party.She quickly excused herself and went to greet them.

Nupur:tum logo ne anne main itne dair kyun laga di?(hugging and greeting each of them)

Akshat:ab main kya kar sakta hoon.Charu ko tayyar hona main itna time lagta hain.obvisously looking good takes so much of an effort on her behalf.(he teased)

Charu:just shut up akshat!dont listen to him Nupur i was perfectly ready when they came to pick me up.

Akshat:lier

Charu:oh really!to Piyush sai hi puch late hain

they dragged the third person in their fight.

Piyush:mujhe apni fight main drag mat karo.(turning to nupur)pura raste laad rahe tha

Nupur smiled.These were the people who were closest to wat u call a family she had in Delhi and had flown down with her for the engagement and marriage.Akshat was a photographer in glamour while charu was a model.Piyush was her immediate boss.They were usually together on assignments and so they had developed a close bound of friendship.She also knewthat Akshat and Charu shared something more than just friendshipand sometimes reminded her of herself and Mayank in college.Oh god!she had to stop thinking about him !what was wrong with her?she couldnt!she couldnt!she couldnt!plzzzzzzzzzz nupur she told herself, not again.

Charu:anyways i am not going to waste my time on u.i'll go and wish Samrat and Gunjan.

The other two followed her and she turned around to see him and Nikhil deep in conversation laughing over something.She instintly felt a smile coming up on her face as well .Mayank's eyes turned towards her .She immediately looked away and went towards Samrat and Gunjan who were deep in conversation with Charu and Akshat hearing them bicker while Piyush looked.

she walked towards them.

Nupur:guys!i think we must start the engagement ceremony.

Engagement Ceremony

Samrat and Gunjan were standing in the middle of the hall while nupur stood next to Gunjan and Benji next to Samrat holding out their rings for them.They exchanged rings and Samrat took the opportunity and kissed her while everyone showered petals and cheered and Gunjan blushed.

Soon after a little bit of masti and halla-golla and bidding eveyone good bye the engagement ceremony came to an end.

1.00 a.m in the morning

Nupur just came out of the washroom after changing and saw Gunjan deep in thought.

Nupur came and sat next to her

Nupur:kya hua?kaha khoi hui hai aap

Gunjan:di r u sure that Samrat and me make a appropriate couple?

Nupur smiled.

Nupur:u r perfect(she smiled softly)

Gunjan smiled and hugged her sister.her sister was the best she deserved the best and she knew she would get the best.She had done so much for her that she couldnt do as much for in a lifetime.She didnt want to leave her and go.It was not as if they were not staying apart with her being in Delhi and she in Mumbai but she knew that somehow marriafe would drift her apart from her sister.

Gunjan while hugging nupur felt a tear sliding down.

Gunjan(softly):Thank u di! love u! and hugged her tighter.
