u know i m so in to this FF that right now in US its 12:13 at night n i m staying up late to read ur FF n i have to gog to work tomarow at 8 in the morning so makes it lil fast plz

YU ME AUR HUM : PART 23

AN HOUR LATER

Ridhima opens her eyes then closes them again. She remembers what all had happened earlier, that day. She feels him breathing gently n turns around n finds Armaan lying there with her. He had this really cute look on his face, a thing she had discovered a few years back. She had learnt that staring at him when he was asleep was one of the best things in the world. Sometimes, she would just wake up early before him n would stare at him sleeping. That was the cutest n the most adorable sight to her. Not thinking about anything else, she just gently caresses his hair. He was still in a deep sleep. Unconsciously, Armaan lightly puts a hand on her stomach. Ridhima smiles at him. She couldn't believe that there really was something that he had been keeping from her. But there was. Why was he hiding…who is that girl…? Those thoughts again haunted her, n Ridhima sighs deeply. She feels Armaan's mobile vibrate next to him. She takes a look at it. It said 'Kavya calling'. She picks it up, n takes the call.

The voice on the other end speaks up

Voice: Armaan, who maine doctor se phir baat ki, reports same hain….mujhe…I don't know what to say…aur I'm really sorry about what happened today…Ridhima…huh…use kuch bataya to nai na…? Armaan..please…tum use hamare aur Arima ke bare mein kuch nai bataoge….promise me…

Then sensing that it wasn't Armaan, but someone else she says

Voice: Armaan..? Tum…? …Kaun bol raha hai…?

Ridhima: uhhh…

She keeps the phone aside, her hands shaking… DOCTOR…??

REPORTS..? ARIMA…? ARMAAN…?

Ridhima feels Armaan move against her. He wakes up, sleepy eyed, then looks at Ridhima. He hears a someone speaking, then looks at his phone. He picks it up n takes a look. He puts it to the ear. He hears Kavya speaking on the other end. Armaan looks at Ridhima again. Her looks n expressions tell him everything. Okay, it was time to spill out everything now…

Ridhima gets up from the bed, every part of her body trembling so much. Her thoughts ran wild n she didn't know what was really happening to her. Slowly, she goes out in the balcony, her eyes depicted how shocked she was, her face had lost all its colour. Armaan follows her outside. He keeps a hand on her shoulder, but she doesn't turn around

Armaan: Ridhima….he speaks softly…

Ridhima: Who kaun hai Armaan…? Whispering, it was almost inaudible

Armaan breathes heavily, then speaks

Armaan: Ridhima, tum..

Ridhima: Who kaun hai Armaan…? She was louder this time, n firm

Armaan: Who…

Ridhima: Uska hamari beti se kya rishta hai…? She turns to look at him, n Armaan sees how tensed worried n shocked she was.

Armaan: Ridhima…He was in a fix…How could he tell her…? She would not be able to bear it, he was sure. She would break down if she would hear it…No he couldn't tell her. But then, one day she has to know…

Ridhima: Armaan who kaun hai..?? She literally shouted this time

Looking at Armaan with his head bent down, Ridhima is now losing it.

Ridhima: Armaan…main tumse kuch pooch rahi hoon….KAVYA KAUN HAI..? USKA HAMARI BETI KE SAATH KYA RISHTA HAI..?? Tum..tum uske saath..use kab se jaante ho…Armaan…kahin..

Armaan: Ridhima, jaisa tum soch rahi ho, waisa kuch nai hai... again putting his hand on her shoulder

Ridhima: Waisa kuch nai hai…subah subah beach par donon ghoom rahe the…meri beti ke saath

Armaan: hamari, he interrupted her

Ridhima: ek band kamre mein donon akele…

Armaan: Ridhima..!! How can yu even think about that..? Tum …kya keh rahi ho…tum khud nai jaanti

Ridhima: Main nai jaanti..To phir tum kaho…why dont yu tell me...???

Armaan: Ridhima, tum abhi bohot thakki hui ho…hum baad mein baat karte hain…Taking a hold of her hand, he tries to take her inside the room

Ridhima leaves his hand very hard n speaks

Ridhima: Armaan main kahin nai jaa rahi hoon, jab tak tum mujhe nai batate aisi kaunsi baat hai…jo itne dino tak…reports...doctor..?? who kya baat kar rahi thi..?

Armaan…tum..kuch kehte kyun nai ho…? Kyun..? AISI KYA BAAT HAI??

She is now extremely impatient n frustrated., More than that, she is shocked n angry. What was with Armaan..? Who is that girl..? What was her realtion with Arima...? How did Armaan know her...? Since when did he know her...??? Was....wasnt Arima THEIR daughter...?? Ridhima keeps both her hands on her head, now really irritated, her head was throbbing, every nerve in her body going weak.

Ridhima: TO PHIR WHO KAUNSI REPORTS KE BAARE MEIN BAAT KAR RAHI THI…? KAVYA KAUN HAI ARMAAN..?? KYA WHO...MUJHSE BHI ZYAADA IMPORTANT HAI TUMHAARE LIYE...??

Ridhima: Kya Arima hamari beti nai hai…? Tears spilling out of her eyes, she cries it out loud…

Armaan: Ridhima, kaisi baatein kar rahi ho…he wipes her tears, but she removes his hand…of course Arima hamari beti hai…whats wrong with you…??

Ridhima: Whats wrong with ME...? Armaan, tumhein kya ho gayaa hai...? Tum kyun kuch nai keh rahe ho...? mujhe batao, abhi, KYA ARIMA, KAVYA AUR TUMHAARI BETI HAI...??

She finally spills it out

Hearing what his wife just said, Armaan leaves her hand, equally shocked. What the….?? How could Ridhima even think that...?

Armaan: Ridhima, tum kya keh rahi ho…..?? Do yu even realise that..?

He was no longer calm . He couldn't believe what he had heard. Did she really think... that...? Did she trust him just to that extent..? Was this what he got after three years of courtship...??

Ridhima: TO PHIR WHO KAUN HAI…?? Tugging at his sleeve really angrily...USKA ARIMA KE SAATH KYA RISHTA HAI...??

Armaan: RIDHIMA…! WHO ARIMA KI DOCTOR HAI!!

For a moment, Ridhima felt as if the world just shook under her. Arima ki Doctor…?? What did he mean…? What was wrong with Arima…?? Arima had some problem...Arima....Arima...ARIMA....??

Armaan puts his head in his hands. Thinking: Oh Gosh!! How could I…?? Oh Ridhima, my baby…am so sorry…mujhe tumhein yeh...

He walks upto Ridhima, n gently takes her in his arms.

Armaan: Ridhima…He inhales one last time, then speaks:

Armaan: Ridhima, Arima has a hole in her heart, a ..a big one. Aur uske liye she has to go through this surgery, which, well, tum jaanti ho yeh kitni tough…aur dangerous hoti hai..but, that's the only chance we have. Aur mujhe yeh tab hi pta chal gaya tha, yaad hai jab Arima abhi pichle hafte bimaar padi thi. I, …I couldn't tell yu…mujhe laga that tum…itni badi cheez…seh nai paogi. To Maine Dr Shubhanker se baat ki. Unhone hi Kavya ko recommend kiya. Since then she has been Arima's doctor incharge. This morning, she came here to check Arima jab main uske saath beach par gaya tha….Kuch tests jo pehle huye the, unki reports aayi…and…well..Arima needs to have this surgery…I am….am so sorry mane tumhein yeh pehle nai bataya …

Ridhima listens to her husband, dumbstruck n shocked. She had barely recovered with the events of the whole day. It had been really very tough…n oh..! Arima had a HOLE in her HEART..! Ridhima didn't even want to think about it. She had assisted Dr Shubhanker in many of those surgeriues, n well…the cases were….

Ridhima breaks down in Armaan's arms, clinging onto him itght. Armaan lets her be, just enveloping her in his arms, n trying to make her stop cry.

Armaan: Ridhima…sab theek ho jaayega, believe me..! Kavya ek…bohot achhi doctor hai…n I'm sure hamari Arima jald se jald theek ho jaayegi…

Ridhima leaves Armaan, walks to Arima's cot.She looks at her little sweetheart sleeping there. Ridhima wipes her tears off her cheek. A splitting copy of her papa, Ridhima picks Arima up, n carefully takes her in her arms, kissing her forehead lightly. She feels Arima wake up, with that same expression that Armaan often has. Ridhima gives a small smile to her, feeling Armaan stand beside her. They both look at their daughter, their angel. Ridhima feels if she was going to lose Arima…she tightly closes her eyes.

Arima's destiny was not in their hands, any longer. Their little baby was now going to go through something extrememly painful n difficult. Being a doctor herself, Ridhima knew that she was now no longer in safe custody. A hole in the heart was one of the most dangerous cases which were handled in Sanjeevani. Plus the chances were just fifty percent. Ridhima couldnt even bear of thinking she would lose her little one, just at the tender age of 5 months. She n Armaan had dreamed so much of their Arima. They wanted to see their daughter growing up, laughing n playing n enjoying her life. Ridhima knew how Armaan had longed for this one, n she wondered how he had kept this all to himself. She turns to look at him. He had small tears in his eyes. Those pained eyes were looking at her. The hole could grow larger, n Arima could...

And Armaan n Ridhima could not do anything, now

Okay guys, so honestly tell me, How many of you thought about this one...uh..?

Well, most of yu had been thinking that Arima is Kavya n Armaan's daughter, but I, of course didnt want my fanfic to turn out into an Ekta Kapoor's serial.

Anyways, hope yu all enjoyed this. Now the tough part is gonna come. Lets see if Arima will get alright. Though, one of my friends had a similar situation, n that was really scary. To know more Keep reading this, every Sunday n Thursday!!

ahaha well we thought KAVYA is a man (u know that show kavyanjali), kavya's character is very poopular from that show and thats why we all thought kavya was a man, and the 'girl' was kavya's wife.. and both of them had arima and gave it to armaan and ridhima HAHA

ok so kavya is a girl.. i found that out like 1/2 way through ur part ahaha aww hope everything works out with arima :'(

nice part though! so emotional!
