This week's discussion topic is...

"The use of popular couples in FF's"

Fan Fictions section is there for writers to express their creativity by writing fictional stories on their favorite serials/stars. We see several FF's with unique concepts and popular tv stars/couples. Ex. pf the popular couples include, Armaan-Ridhimma (DMG), Angad-Kripa (KYPH), Sujal-Kashish (KTH), Kavya-Anjali (Kavyaanjali),, and many more....

Now, just like last time, I'm gonna provide you with a scenario, and you are to give your input on the situation and how you think it should be dealt with.

Ready? Here I go...

Well, your most favorite writer ever has written several FF's on your favorite couple, <put name of couple here>. You've become a complete fan of this writer, who has drastically improved in their writing and writes like a professional now, capturing the emotions and actions of their characters perfectly and beautifully painting images of their lifestyles in your mind. They write an FF with another parallel couple. So now, the story is focused on two couples. Are you still willing to read it?

Okay, if you said no to that, why?

If you said yes (this even applies to those who replied with a 'no'), lets probe deeper. The writer gets an excellent response for all their FF's and now they are so inspired that they want to write an FF based on their own fictional characters. Characters who don't already have an identity and a face attached to them. Would you be willing to read that FF?

Now, before you give an abrupt answer, think about it. This writer is an absolutely fantastic writer who really knows how to capture their reader's attention and get them begging for more. You've read all their FF's, possibly having read some of them several times. They're trying something different to develop their writing skill even more.

Would you continue to encourage the writer/not reply anymore/or discourage them? and why?

That celebrity couple isn't necessarily going out in real life. The shows they're from are just shows, not reality. The stories, pieces of fiction, once again, not reality. Yet you believe them and live with them.

So, if someone is choosing to introduce a new fictional story with new characters, why not give them a chance?

If the person doesn't imagine any actor/actress playing the role and leaves it up to you, why not imagine your favorite couple playing the role instead?

Or..

If the person does provide the actor/actress playing the role but with different names for the characters, why does it make a difference? Shouldn't you still imagine the same person in your head? At the end of the day, is the actor/actress that character or themselves?

Think about it....and lets discuss 😳

i wish someone worked more on rahul muskaan....i wish to sometime!!!

n yeh...i never saw any ekta soaps...but having read kat's KAA fics, i loved the shiv gauri couple....thats...wat i think its the writer who creates the magic, id int even know the couple, n kat got them into my list, think i can safely i assume i wudnt have liked them half as much from the soap's script alone!!!

ps:no offense to ekta fans, um just not a huge one myself....

i wouldnt mind reading about other couples, for me they will be a new identity

yes definitely i would encourage the writer about them using their own characters, again its nice to see how the writer shapes the character who has no idenity or face that a reader can picture.

See Fan fiction to me is a writers bestest compliment to the couple they have fallen in love with... Its a mark of respect and love to there fav jodi on screen...to the actors playin them...

See we all start somewhere.... for me i feel in love with Shiv and Gauri... everything for me started there and it was not just them but other writers like Desi chic (neetu), Saregam_Fan (chandini) and not forgeting ShivGauri (Kuku) ....who inspired me to pen reading there creations and i guess i never looked back alway forwards and changed my style to LEARN more then anything....

That all we writers are doing learnin and being creative as for the couple i dont think i could mix match the shows and couples... i loose interest in writin them that way (my POV)... see like developin the character from the beginnin.... i love seeing them come alive in front of me and pen it that way for the readers......

I think Fan fiction work for the fact writers dont need to be to over descriptive about the characters looks and behaviour... many including me cant write in that descripted manner...lol i cant and im learnin to and for those reading the ff from KAA and compare to DMG u see my writin has improved....

As for writting something non Fan fiction man to get to that level i would love to start with new characters and pen a fiction romantic tale... but i would not be scared to post the story as i welcome the comments .... but u have to be a excellent writer to even go there

See i know many read novels and come here to read as well so i dont think our members here would not be anythink but encouraging the writer

When i was going through this topic and questions putforth I felt am I reading a siilar part into my journey in this forum....lol..

Actually Writing on popular couples do give a lot of readers for sure and on the flip side some readers like me include dotn have anythign to read if I dislike a popular couple as I cant live aside the image i carry of them and hate them for my own reasons....

When I started writing for couple Sunaina and Chandan from a no at all popular serial... i bearly had any any readers to comments..just my very close buddies.... and to think about it ... when i did my mind work and finallly felt I could visualise an dwrite a role for the actors RAjeev and Amna ..I wrote Tumsey milkey... but i have to admit I cant enjoy if the charcter names r similar more often as... the names shape a lot of thign for me... I knew if I visualise Sujal KAshish I wont be able to make KAshish what i want... and Sujal cant be better than what he was in KTH... So I changed the anmes and the storyline everybit...

Popular couples in FF get a lot of their fns to start reading and sustainign them to reply is to the writers talent... many readers usually cant let their loved coule to be out of the lead and want enough importnace .. many writers get bocgged down with that pressure and many readers do feel bad if their fav coules r sidelined...

I enjoy writing around non serial based and when i read coments that they r awe abotu the Lead or soemthign liek that.. i guess thats the impac i wanted... for me non serial based r easier to handle..but serial based popular couples and with the bagage over the shoulders of the writer to too much.. shoudl say here they r doign a very good job... !!!

Well As Many out there I Also Just Love Armaan-Riddhima & Rahul-Muskaan..

When i wrote a FF on Only AR there were more readers than for a FF which gives equal importance to RM.. I have been noticing that in all my 3 FFs!..

In my Case i Wud read the FF which Doesn't have my Fav Couple only If A Very Very Talented Writer has written it.. Like i never liked Angad-Kripa but i have read several of their FFs by Sangeeta di & eventually i have started liking them..lol.. Though i cannot get connected to them as in case of AR & RM..

If a FF is written on ur Fav Couple it gets easy to connect with.. U can imagine the scenes with them which is hardly possible with other couples..U get attached with that FF!...

I read a latest FF in which AK & AR were together.. But me being me skipped all the AK parts..😆.. Though i read the last 3 parts fully bcoz then i won't be able to understand the story..

Popular couples in a FF does matter a lot!
