The channel to give reality shows a different meaning altogether, Sony Entertainment Television has completed a whole decade in India.

Tarun Katiyal, the Executive Vice President and Business Head of the channel, talks about its growth, "Sony is giving back to the audience all that we've got from them. We've got a lot of love and appreciation of millions of viewers who have actively taken part in our growth.

Sony has always been a trendsetter with shows like Boogie Woogie, the dance show, Heena, the first story with a Muslim background, Kkusum, which portrayed the middle-class woman, to the more recent Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahin, Indian Idol and lately the Fame Gurukul — we have surely come a long way and grown over the years."

Planning on celebrating the completion of a decade, they have brought together ten singers who sing for charity in a programme called 10 Ke 10 — Le Gaye Dil starting tonight at 8 pm which will go on till November 18.

Prajakta Shukre, Aditi Paul, Harish Moyal, Rahul Saxena and Ravinder Ravi from Indian Idol and Arpita Mukherjee, Shamit Tyagi, Arijit Singh, Mona Bhatt and Anubhav Suman from Fame Gurukul are competing against each other to claim top honours.

Hosted by Mandira Bedi and Mini Mathur, like almost all other interactive shows, this too will allow the viewers to vote for their favourite singer, whereby in each episode, the two contestants with the lowest number of votes will leave the competition. All revenues from voting will go to the PM Relief Fund.

With the nation being thoroughly entertained and contributing towards a noble cause, this should be worth a watch!
