Arijit votes in favour of Monica, thereby leading to best pal Shamit's exit from the show

Fame Gurukul, India's most voted reality show experienced some unbelievable and earth shattering happenings. This week's result brought rather shocking news for the faculty, jury, contestants and the public at large.

The viewers had once again proved their loyalty and support by voting for their all time favourite contestant Qazi Touqeer. The unexpected turn of events began when the contestants' vote ended with a tie between Monica and Shamit. As top student for the week, Arijit, the so-called best friend of Shamit was given a deciding vote to break the tie. Astonishingly he voted for Monica, blindly turning his back to his all time confidante, big brother and close friend - Shamit Tyagi. The faculty was shocked and disappointed at the results and stated that this was not a sound musial decision by Arijit and he had betrayed the concept of trust and friendship. Ila Arun also stated that, "Monica is actually no match for a student like Shamit."

Shamit was absolutely devastated. For him it was not just the sorrow of leaving the Gurukul, but also of being betrayed by his best friend. Arijit himself was profusely weeping and lamenting and eventually developed chest-pains and a doctor was called-in for him. Monica who got saved by was ecstatic and could not believe her good fortune at being saved by the contestants as she had already resigned herself to leaving Fame Gurukul. This definitely was the most thrilling and nerve-wracking development in the already overwrought race for the Fame 'jodi' at Fame Gurukul. But the search for the Fame 'jodi' has to continue. Thus the journey moves on with the 7 remaining contestants performing tonight to hit romantic numbers, the theme for this week's Gala. Actress Neha Dhupia will be the celebrity judge for the evening, judging the contestants on their performances. Thus, once again, the cycle of tension and anticipation begins where 4 contestants will be brought under the spot light this week at Fame Gurukul.
