Arijit maxes vote count at Dus Ke Dus - Le Gaye Dil
Anubhav and Harish voted out after the first hurdle
The nation gave its first verdict by voting Harish and Anubhav off Dus ke Dus. Arijit proved he was still a crowd favourite by garnering over 30 per cent of the votes for the first Gala episode. The contest is hotting up with each of the talented singers desperately trying to prove a point that they have what it takes to win the hearts of millions with their singing talent. The competition now is more fierce than before, when these talented singers were on Sony Entertainment Television for the first time. After all, the need for success is more urgent now.
Amongst all eight contestants remaining on the show, it was evident that Ravinder Ravi, the painter from Ludhiana, showed the most obvious signs of improvement. He stole the hearts of the nation the last time he was on Sony Entertainment Television with his straight-from-the-heart renditions; and he's set to woo the viewers with his voice this time round as well. Other singers to have come across very strong in the competition were Prajakta Shukre, and Arpita Mukherjee, who stood tall above the competition.
Prajakta, who still has it in her to mesmerise the audiences with her cute smiles and mind-blowing voice, was exceptional in her performance - this young girl has come a long way from the amateur that she was just a few months ago. Arpita also seems to have shed her tag of the ice maiden, and if one had to go by her performance at the first gala she was as good if not better than established singers like Prajakta and Aditi.
The other surprise package at Dus Ke Dus has been Arijit Singh; he has met and vanquished the challenge from other contestants, most notably his toughest opponents, Shamit and Rahul Saxena. Arijit has got the most number of votes for the first Gala and is looking all set to take a march over the rest. He wants to ensure that his trained classical voice gets the recognition it deserves by singing his heart out at the Dus Ke Dus competition.
There is still some way to go before the nation chooses its favourite contestant… will it be Ravinder or Arijit, or Rahul Saxena or Shamit, or one of the girls: Prajakta, Aditi, Mona, or Arpita. The choice is in your hands. To watch the show and catch the action, tune into Dus Ke Dus - Le Gaye Dil, hosted by Mini Mathur and Mandira Bedi every Monday – Thursday at 8:30 pm only on Sony Entertainment Television.
