Ever wondered why Arijit Singh betrayed Shamit bhaiya, or why Javed Akhtar always had a grudge against the jury? The book, 'Inside Fame Gurukul', by Popular Prakashan publications, brings out all the inside gossip of 'Fame Gurukul', the popular musical extravagance on Sony Entertainment Television.

Ismen emotion hai, drama hai, comedy hai, aur kya chahiye?' - that's 'Fame Gurukul' for you. A musical reality show of 12 talented singers who have given everything they have to enter the coveted music academy and their journey to becoming the nation's biggest singing sensations.

The road to Fame is a steep one and this book gives you the inside stories of how everyone came through after the gruelling journey. And just for you, 'Inside Fame Gurukul' also captures the anchors and the judges to the gurus and the Top 12. What they did and thought - you can see it all through the 64 pages.

The book features some poignant statements by contestants and the judges. Qazi Touqeer one of the winning contestants said, "Sur lagey naa lagey, with passion I can climb Mount Everest." Javed Akhtar, one of the judges, quips about dealing with the contestants. "If you say anything to any body here they start crying buckets." Apart from similar emotional and fascinating confessions, you can also look out for the 'other' aspects that were a part of making the 'Fame Jodi'.

The director of Popular Prakashan, Harsha Bhatkal, comments on bringing celluloid to print media. "At Popular Prakashan, we are exploring a new genre of books, taking content from television and adapting it to the print medium. We see a huge potential for such books." Weighing in at 64 pages, the book is priced at Rs 50.
