Qazi Touqeer

Negotiations with Ekta Kapoor and Fame Gurukul winner Qazi Touqeer have fallen through. Qazi was to appear in Balaji's Kaisa Yeh Pyar Hai on Sony in 40 episodes of the serial, but now his character will be performed by someone else.

So what happened? Says Ekta Kapoor, "It is true Qazi won't be acting in Kaisa Yeh Pyar Hai. Sony had asked us to take Qazi and chased us to put him in. We worked on a story but Qazi backed out as he got a film offer. Now Sony is getting us someone else for the character."

If things had gone according to plan, Qazi would have been playing a rock star in the serial and performing with Kripa (Neha Bamb) on the shows. Qazi's character would have been shown as being a big fan of Angad's who comes to learn singing from him. Balaji had planned to have a huge music concert where its actors would perform
