That's right. Logically if Arpita has withdrawn then the previously voted out contestant should come in by default.

There should not be any drama of another wild card entry or any such thing.

My only fear is that this is another trick by Sony to garner sympathy and votes for Arpita.

She may have not actually quit and may come back.

That would then be foul play by the channel!!!

Just because she was in danger zone 2 times and she feels that she won't have a chance she leaves? Even Monica, fully knowing she doesn't stand a chance played till the end and left on a high note.
As for pressure - I don't think she even had an ounce of pressure compared to Arijit who withstood a major backlash from his colleauges, faculty and fans due to the Shamit episode - yet he kept pushing forward and left honourably at the end, leaving his legacy imprinted in the public and all of Gurukul.

Totally agree with you ... If only everyone lost their hopes that way, there would be no Fame Gurukul .. After a first few episodes they would have announced the Fame Jodi ...

She said so many times that "I fear nothing .. Because I know I have what it takes to get to Fame Jodi" ... where did that spirit go ???

I am sorry, but I guess after competing with Qazi in the Ranbhoomi round she tasted the bitter truth of how much Janta loves Qazi ...

I think she should also perform and then get voted out, just like everyone else ... This is not fair for the other s tudents who went thru the trauma of performing in the Ranbhoomi round and then going through the humiliation of getting voted my their own friends ...

The entire show is pathological and sick. FG and Sony both know that this has been one of the worst shows/programmes to be aired in recent times. Indian Idol was handled so well whereas this show has been nothing but politics, politics, drama etc. etc. I think Sony should acknowledge that they have goofed big time and now they don't know how to get out of the soup. I mean contestants being brought in as wild card entry in the middle of the show and another contestant quitting during such a critical time out of despondency.

What a mess? God I am happy we are one week behind and don't have to be subject to the trauma of watching this next week. Awful...

I don't think Sony has goofed up - This show is different than the 'Idol' series as this show seems to be a combination of the show "Survivor" - where contestants vote each other off the island and 'Idol' - it's a different species of show altogether.

Also, you can't blame the contestant quitting (Arpita) on Sony if she doesn't have the drive within herself to face the consequences, whether they're positive or negative.
