Nok-jhoks aren't necessarily 'cute' always. At least not in my understanding of them😊
Anyway, I see intensity in their interactions because they are intense as characters, not necessarily something they bring out in each other. Of course, it's finally up to the writers what direction they take. And I see no reason to have complaints if everything is done organically. But sometimes, things are forced into the story for certain reasons without a proper build-up. I don't expect that problem here given that they only have so many episodes to tell their already-complex-enough story. But hey, I've been following Hindi TV for years and know enough not to rule out the possibility.
