A chance to dance

Shruti Rana, who plays the role of Rachana in Star Plus' Tu Mera Hero, seems to be quite the talented young woman. Shruti is a trained dancer in Odissi and semi-classical forms and has won many accolades for her dancing prowess. The actress, who is originally from Haryana, has represented her state at the national level in dance programmes. She says, if given a chance, she would like to showcase her dancing skills alongside her histrionics on her show Tu Mera Hero.

Shruti told us, "Dancing has always been my passion and my family has been very supportive and encouraged me to pursue it. I have represented the state of Haryana at the national level in 2009 and if my character Rachana is ever given a chance to dance on screen I would love to enthrall the viewers with an entertaining performance!"
