I agree that she should go after Bansuri. But I guess seeing Balwant's care towards Gunjan sort of set her off? She is now hell bent on getting back at Balwant through Gunjan. So by hurting Gunjan she is trying to hurt Balwant.
Her logic is wrong, but people who are filled with rage and have abandonment issues may not react the way normal logical people do. I think when she first came to the Pind she didn't intend to revenge herself on anyone. But after seeing Balwant and Gunjan together, I think she could not handle it.
Now she is burning with jealousy and resentment. She feels that Gunjan got the love and care from their father that she herself also deserved but didn't get. So her way of getting her pound of flesh is to go after the thing Gunjan loves the most, which is Ranvi. That way, by taking Ranvi from Gunjan, she will be hurt, and by hurting Gunjan, Balwant will be hurt.
I guess what she wants to do is, at the right moment reveal WHY she has done what she has done? Which is try to break up Gunjan's marriage! She will then tell their father that the punishment for his sins have been given to his daughter. I think that is her plan.
In the case of Amrita, there was no issue of revenge. She was dying, so she didn't want to get married. She ended up doing something worse. Which is sleeping with a married man and breaking up his marriage. But in the case of Sonia, she intends to try and create a rift between Ranvi and Gunjan so as to revenge herself on Balwant. This whole thing is going to go south very fast!!
I just wish she would teach that Bansuri a lesson, coz SHE is the one that really deserves it!! The women sucks!!
