his character is completely pointless ... even after keeping the ''poor storywriting'' in mind ...gunjan baldev veera ... can be termed as indivisual characters good , bad but atleast they are characters .since they have their own thought process ..this ranvi guy is always standing like a statue at the back ...or busy getting all the love from the women of his family...poor guy is just reduced to being a plot device ...shivin was gud as yuvraj ...as ranvi not so impressive ..i dont know why ...may be because he nods his head a lot or something..

Lol the head nodding & finger showing is to too much but i agree shivin is gud actor but the role ofranvi is not gud.
There no progression or any sorts of individuality to it .
He does not possess his own optinion.hes is backed by his girlgang

Ranvi's character has been so badly butchered that many cant just stand him tbh! 🤢
He's so dependent on others and just cant stand up for himself & take his own decisions!

This is what saddens me about the character of Ranvi now. The lack of individuality in him. This is NOT the Ranvi from childhood. He had a personality. Even though sometimes he was a goody two shoes, at other times he was judgemental and difficult. (Like with the Nihal Singh incident when he found out about the accident his dad had). He was all out to get revenge and Ratan had to talk him out of it. He went all alone to Amritsar to look for Sampooran. He put his life at risk. Will the Ranvi now do something this daring??

I don't know. I feel like lately they have made Ranvi a little too passive. The only thing consistent is that even now the guy knows how to sock a punch! Lol. He beat up that guy who stole Gunjan's money to a pulp and he even beat up Baldev's cronies. (Before getting whacked on the head). The guy at least has a left hook.

But I too am disappointed with his characterisation. I have not seen Shivin in anything else, so can't compare. But I think his acting is very good. He can only work with the material given to him, and these days the material he gets is anything but challenging. It's quite bland to be honest!! No Oscar winning performances can be given with the script he is acting off!!

Ranvi's character started out well when the leap happened but of late I feel his character has hit a standstill. The CVs really need to do something with his character, give him an identity of his own besides being Veera's anokhi maa.

Exactly.. He is either standing in the background and smiling or hugging his mom and sis 😳

I just cannot connect with him.. The characterisation as well as the child actor playing Ranvi was 10 times better than this post leap Ranvi..
And Shivin needs to improve a lot! He is good looking but that alone cannot make an actor popular or successful..

And lets not put the entire blame on CVs.. Anas R is also playing a similar role in a show... But he still stands out because he is an amazing actor.. The character is loved because he makes it loveable..
I firmly believe that a character needs an 'actor' to make it popular..
Shivin and the CVs needs to do something before people stop connecting with the character completely..

Before writing I should've quoted your post! I agree, he is definitely not the Ranvi he was in childhood. Childhood Ranvi had a fire to his character which at times was too much but still I feel his characterization in childhood was much stronger than it is today. I feel his character started out well after the leap happened but lately something is lacking.

I have not seen Shivin's previous show but I love him as Ranvi and its sad to see his character come to such a standstill given that he has a lot of potential to grow.

Sometimes I feel Shivin is portaying Ranvi as if he is mentally retarded ..This I have felt from the initial episodes post-leap , this happens especially when he widely smiles and claps ...
