Balwant is a huge disappointment

After seeing the SBB/SBS segments I only have one word to describe Balwant as a father - disappointing! Over the course of this show I've seen Balwant do many things that I didn't like but he seems to have just gotten worse since the leap. Baldev has tried his best to be a good son to Balwant but he just turns a blind eye most of the time while continually praising Ranvi while putting his son down.

Balwant wanting to support Ranvi is one thing, but the least he could have done is give Baldev his blessings and wish him well. As a father, he could have done that much for his son but no he had to drive a knife to his son's heart and for what? At least in Veera's case, Baldev can understand she would support her brother over him, its too early for that but Balwant? Balwant is his father and I am sure that Baldev is going to be heartbroken that Balwant couldn't even give his blessings. Shame on him as a father, next time he ever passes judgement on Bansuri for how she treated Gunjan she should throw it in his face how he treats his son!

I agree Mandy. Balwant need not to compromise on his fanboy feelings for Ranvi but the least he could do is bless his son and encourage him to do well. I don't know why Balwant harbors so much contempt for Baldev? I agree that Baldev hasn't really made him "proud" but he should really question himself as to what he has done for Baldev so that the latter could be a better human being.

Exactly, he wants to fangirl over Ranvi by all means go ahead but not blessing his son just took things to an all time low. I feel so bad for Baldev and I have yet to watch the episode, that is so hurtful.

Before the leap, I understood Balwant scolding his son and getting angry at him but Baldev has changed since the leap. Granted he has not done much with his life but he's a great brother to Gunjan and he has been a good son to Balwant but none of that matters to him and I want to know what his problem is.

True. Balwant shall go on and on about how great Ranvi is but he would never acknowledge his own son's efforts. I hope something major happens that Baldev leaves his house to prove his worth. I want to see Balwant regretting hard for neglecting his son.

Honestly I don't wanna waste my words on Balwant. He's the worst father I have ever seen in any show. Ugh! I cant even imagine what Baldev will go through. Guys who don't cry much often tend to bottle up everything inside themselves which is even worse than just shedding tears and letting it go!

Problem with Baldev is all r judgmental about him keeping his pre leap image in mind be it Balwant, Veera or others.
No matter how sincere he behaves people consider it as fake .
As a father Balwant should have bless his son.
Balwant taunts Baldev and compares him with Ranvi then why he never gave this dose to his darling Gunjan.
I want Ballu to leave that house and prove himself by workinh hard.

It's sad Baldev always hide his vulnerability behind funny mask he wears. I don't remember he ever complained to Balwant about this.
He expects Baldev to be like Ranvi then Mr. Balwant is he like Ratan??

When parents expect their kids to be ideal then they should first check their accounts, what they have really given to their kids... If Balwant does this reality check em sure he will never raise question on Baldev.

I want Baldev to do something for himself, forget about pleasing Balwant. It is just not worth it anymore.

At least one good thing for sure will come out of this track, Balwant's days of being Sarpanch will be over! He never deserved to be Sarpanch, the pind deserves better.
