Hi I was one of the people who cleared matters in yesterday's posts. I agree that in Bani they have showed them sitting in a Gurdwara but they are doing Hindu rituals. The only Sikhi think they did was ardaas that to without the words of ardaas just showed them standing with their hands together. In a punjabi wedding you don't have ghat bandan the girls father gets one side of the boys dupatta and gives it to his daughter in her hand they didn't show that in Bani. Also the girl is not brought in by her mother she should have been brought in by her father. And finally they didn't show the chaar lava (4 phere) which isn't allowed to be shown anyway so I am happy that that wasn't shown. So technically this was not a punjabi wedding this was a Hindu wedding in a Gurdwara. They are not allowed to show a Sikh punjabi wedding on television due to rules of Sikhism. Sikh wedding are to be done between a real couple not a reel couple because we Sikhs believe a wedding is too pure and sacred to be shown just like that for fun on television. I hope this cleared everything. 😊
