Oh wow! So Ratan wouldn't have been a boring character had she agreed to marry Nihal and love him inspite of knowing that he hid the truth about her deceased husband from her??
Yes. *INSERT sarcastic face here*And completely obvlious to the fact that she threatened to actually kill someone. How normal is that? Oh let's pick up a dagger shall we and go around threatening people because it's "not boring" and plus Ratan is the role model.
Ratan never said that what Sampooran did was right. But her love for him is unconditional and above all his faults, so much that she forgave him easily. I don't know what "message" it's giving to you all, but that's how Ratan's character, and most of the Indian married women are. So if she refuses to marry anyone after her husband is dead, she cannot be called as dumb because she is still unable to move on. Isn't this natural?Because Sampooran is her child. That explains the unconditional love. "Yes, you can go cheat on me, I'm okay with it. Go screw lot of women and impregnate them, I will raise your illicit children as my own while I guard my own chastity for you because I'm a married woman now widowed, I have no right to move on and marry someone else. My purpose in this life is to be your doormat. Hamesha and Hamesha Kehliyeh."Let start with India Forums shall we? Most of people on Indian forums are Asian. And it reading a lot of their posts, it seems they won't accept a cheating husband. And I've been to India many times where women are the complete opposite of Ratan. Yes, there will be a few but I would not generalise and say MOST women accept cheating husbands. And if they do, you will notice that they're much older than us. Say around in their forties-fifties. Most young women in India will not stand for this nonsense. They're getting educated and they prefer to be graduates rather than waste their live away being in a marriage with a cheat. We're not living in those times there everyone has arranged marriage like Ratan and Sampooran. Even some women in arranged marriages will not accept a cheating husband, educated or not. So that invalidates your generalisation that most indian women are like this when it's actually not.
Ratan had initially doubted Nihal but later placed her complete trust on him. When she realised that Nihal has been hiding some truth about her husband from him, she feels cheated and hurt because, I think we all agree on it that, she DESERVES to know the truth. People might find her threatening to kill Nihal OTT (I know there are a lot of Nihal pankhis here😆) but I think it's very natural of Ratan because that's how she is: fiery and impulsive. No, had she done this to anyone else, I would strongly disagree too even if it was that cheat bag Sampooran- who I hate because he's a pathetic excuse of a man. So you might call people "Nihal Pankhis" but you cannot disagree that he's one of the most kindest characters in the serial. Better than a lot of the characters on there. Infact, this show was so boring before the entry of Nihal, do you know why? Because before his entry, Ratan had the most screen time moaning and sobbing about her pathetic husband. Ranvi and Veera only got two seconds of fame back then. With Nihal in the pic, we saw brother and sister moments, we saw Nihal being a father to them albeit Ratan still being a miserable old woman with lesser scenes because Nihal, Ranvi and Veera were now shining in their scenes together like a real family (with Ratan excluded: only time she was with them was the Gold Temple pic)I love them three together, eating icescream, hanging out. And funny how Ratan will make a big deal out of an accident which her husband ended up accepting death at the end so techniqually, Sampooran commited suicide, cuz he let go of Nihal's hand. But nooo, according to Ratan her hubby is a saint. Never could commit suicide.😆And yeah, because it's normal of her to hold up a dagger and try to kill someone in cold blood. I know a few people who are fiery and impulsive but have never broke the law. So you mean to say Ratan has a criminal streak which means kids are not safe.
Give some time to the show. Ratan would surely understand that Nihal didn't want to kill Sampooran and it was just an accident. She would eventually understand that Nihal loves her more unconditionally than Sampooran had, or would ever had!Such realisations don't happen within a blink of an eye. 😊Nope. Nope and Nope. She had enough time. The actor Kapil is leaving for good. Probably got sick of acting as a background prop in most scenes with Ratan and Chaiji. Ratan and her son will hate Nihal forever. She can never realise how much Nihal loved her- eve more than Shampooran.Nihal is not likely to return and why would he? Only Veera loves him and no one listens to Veera when she wants Nihal Chachu to stay.
