You are right. The only person who is Veera's blood relative is Ranvi. But he is a minor. Therefore, it means that legally the older blood relatives (Amrita's parents) have more rights, since a minor cannot be given custody of a child.

I think this sort of thing sometimes happens where if parents die and siblings are left, they get separated coz either different relatives might take them (if no grandparents), or they become a ward of the state. (Happens in the west a lot). So in those cases it cannot be guaranteed that the siblings will get to stay together.

Even the Ranveera case is similar. Since Ranvi is a minor, even though he is a blood relative of Veera, he has no legal claim over her. The only person who does is Sampooran, who is not in the picture. Therefore the next right goes to the mum's parents. (Sampooran's parents are dead). IF they were there they could have fought for custody too.

Good analysis. This situation would not have happened, if Ratan had legally adopted veera after Sampooran's death.

Even though Ranvi is still a minor it does not change the fact he and Veera are blood related, CVs should not ignore this fact. Ratan was wrong
