Naksh is not a fussy eater at all. But sometimes if he doesn't feel like eating it is very hard to feed him. At such times, I try to make eating fun for him. I move the spoon in the air like an airplane, adding some sound effects to it. When Naksh gets distracted I put the spoon with food in his mouth. He munches it with a big smile.

Veera is too young to eat anything solid. What she always wants is milk. Chaiji taught me to feed her by a milk bottle. She sometimes pushes away the bottle when she doesn't want it. So I don't force her to drink it either. I think she eats when she wants to and cries when she is hungry, so I don't worry much about her food.

It's normal for young kids between 1 to 6 years to throw tantrums over food. Ananya also pushes away her food if she doesn't like it. I know I beat her up for not eating and listening to me as it could be frustrating for mothers. But maa told me it's never good to raise hands on a child if they aren't eating. Being calm and patient with the children also helps them to come calm down and listen to you.

Today's children are crazy about pizzas and Aarav is also a pizza lover. I find pizzas very unhealthy for the kids as they don't consist of veggies as much as it is needed for a growing body. In order to make your kid eat healthy food without them whining about it, create your own recipe. For instance, you can add healthy veggies in homemade pizza as toppings.

These are a few tips that our STAR Plus characters share to handle children food tantrums. Do let us know if you find any of these tips useful.
