Ekta Kapoor's Pardes Mein Hai Mera Dil will take the 8.30pm slot on Star Plus. It stars Drashti Dhami, Shaleen Malhotra and Laksh Lalwani. It will air from this Diwali replacing Humko Tumse Ho Gaya Hai Pyaar Kya Kare. The show starring Ishani Sharma and Varun Toorkey by producer Suzaana Ghai failed to make a mark at the TRP charts. So, Ekta Kapoor will once again repeat her Kasauti Zindagi Kay days with the same slot. The new show is tentatively titled Pardes Mein Hai Mera Dil. Drashti has started shooting for the show in Mumbai. And here is her look from the show where she plays a simple Indian girl. Based on Manju Kapoor novel and Subhash Ghai s Pardes, this is second time Dhrasti is playing a similar Punjabi girl. Her maiden show Geet Huyi Sabse Parayi was also based on the film Pardes. The show had Gurmeet Chaudhary playing Shah Rukh Khan's character and Abhinav Shukla playing Apurva Agnihotri's character.

In this show, Shaleen will reprise the role of Shah Rukh while Laksh Lalwani will play Neel the spoiled NRI close on the heels of Apurva Agnihotri's character. The cast of Drashti Dhami and Shaleen Malhotra's new show has got bigger and better. The show will soon go to Austria for the outdoor. Rest of the cast includes many popular names from TV. Alka Amin, who has been associated with shows like Karol Bagh, Parichay Nayee Zindagi Kay Sapno Ka, Kya Huaa Tera Vaada and is currently seen in Kalash will be seen essaying a pivotal role on the show.
Joining her will be noted actors Muni Jha, who rose to fame with Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi and actress Usha Bachani, who is well-known for her negative roles in serials like Kkusum, Sindoor Tere Naam Ka and Ek Ladki Anjaani Si. The show was supposed to go on air in September but has been delayed for one whole month. The outdoor schedule is supposed to be a long one and a set has been erected in Mumbai for indoor shoots.
