Can someone help us ?

It's a LONG story, but i'll try my best 😊

RajNi's friendship was destroyed by Badi Rani Maa.

Before the leap - a 6 year old Rani was secretly working at the Raj Mahal to aquire money for her Daadu's treatment. Rajmata was suffering from tuberculosis.

Raja who was saving up for a new watch gave Rani all the money he had saved up in order to help as she was his best friend.

Badi Rani Maa was quickly realizing that she was losing her control and influence over Raja, because his friendship with Rani had Raja questioning things around him. Rani was a good influence on him. Seeing Rani as a thorn in her side, she orchestrated a plan to be rid of her. She recruited Jeeven to help her by bribing him with samosa's and laddoo's (they didn't nickname him buk-kar for nothing). 😆

Badi Rani Maa then approached Rani with a sob story about how helping Jeeven become a better person would benefit Raja as it would bridge the gap between the two bickering brothers. For Raja's sake Rani agreed. Badi Rani Maa asked her to keep their little Jeeven makeover a secret.

At the same time, Laakhan had just found out about Rani working at the Palace. He realized he couldn't just tell her to never return to the Palace as it would arise suspicion and if the Royal Guards came looking for her they might figure out who she really is and that she is RaGa's daughter. Laakhan was in the process of making an escape plan but he still needed more time to get things in place. In the meantime, he made Rani vow that when she went to work at the Palace - that she shouldn't speak to anyone. He made her swear on his life to stress the seriousness of it all. She vowed her silence and then took the vow literally.

Raja was confused by her silence -- and then coupled with all the sightings of her and Jeevan together, he began to panic thinking that he had been replaced as her best friend. Badi Rani Maa of course took advantage of his anxiety and began to manipulate situations around him that weren't at all what they seemed or looked to be. By the end of it all Badi Rani Maa had succeeded in making him think that Rani was an opportunist and a gold digger -- someone who only cared about what a person could do or give to her. Everytime Raja turned around Rani was either holding money or wearing a new dress which Badi Rani Maa made seem was gifted to her by Jeevan.

RajNi began to drift. Yet despite all of that Badi Rani Maa still wasn't done. She hired some goons to capture a blindfolded Jeevan and then beat him senseless. (Keep in mind - Jeevan was no older than 6 years old at the time. It was very disturbing to watch. Even though the gist of it was implied). She then planted Raja's necklace at the scene next to a wounded Jeevan.

Upon discovering the necklace Kaal assumed that Raja had been the culprit. Due to Raja's friendship with Rani -- Raja and his father's relationship had been slowly but surely repairing itself.

However, Badi Rani Maa wanted Kaal and Raja at loggerheads. Her goal: make Raja hate his father to the core. Her plan is to instigate Raja into one day killing Kaal - so that she can attain the Throne.

Kaal now refusing to believe in Raja's innocence only added to the already long list of grievances Raja had against his father.

Since Raja refused to admit to beating up Jeevan, Kaal then banished Raja and had him exiled to a hostel. Badi Rani Maa once again worked the situation and made Raja think that it was Rani who had beaten up Jeevan and had framed him in the process in an act of revenge for having humiliated her at Bindu's birthday party.

As Raja was being sent away Rani tried her best to try to clear his misunderstanding but her vow to Laakhan held her back. Unable to see what was happening to Raja she broke her vow of silence and tried to explain, but by this time Raja had hit his limit and would not listen to reason.

Raja was then sent away to a hostel where the kids there bullied him. In order to adapt he embraced the worst parts of himself.

Rani on the otherhand was heartbroken that Raja hadn't listened to her. She sadly made her way home only to find Laakhan dead - having been killed by Badi Rani Maa who had finally found him.

Thinking that because she broke her vow -- Rani blamed herself for Laakhan's death. It was implied that she may somewhat hold Raja responsible also - given that trying to save him is what forced to speak.

She resolved to find him one day -- hoping to clear his misunderstanding, at the same time Raja is shown begging fate to never show him her face ever again as he hates her.

The show then jumped foward to 12 year leap. Rani is now going by Gayatri and Raja is now Rajveer (Sir).

I hope that helps. 😳

I don't think the truth will change anything yet.
All this does is enlighten Gayatri to the fact that Rajveer is her Raja-Baja. It's still unclear if she blames him for what happened to Laakhan.

She did however state that she wants to clear his misunderstanding --- though she may have to tie him to a tree first before she does that. 😆

Written update of promo:

Rani is walking down an open hallway at the college and looks at a photo of herself (grown up) with Rajmata and asks "Dadu, what kind of place is this I have come to?" Raja is shown in a crowd of girls and hugs one of them. Rani says to the photo "He doesn't know how to respect women at all." Raja throws some rupee notes in the air and says "Tonight's party is from Sir!" Rani says to the photo "these people spend money without thinking, but I will save every penny for your treatment." The scene shifts to show Kaal and Raja inside the college somewhere. Raja says "Giving orders might be your habit but following them is not my nature, Pitaji." Rani sees them from the corner and thinks "Rajveer - humara Raja baja?' and has flashbacks of their childhood. She calls out to him "Raja" and he turns around with a bit of surprise. She looks at him hopefully and the voice-over says "will the reality of their childhood change their hatred today?"

Thanks, Mina. Could not like your post for some reason, the like button did not work only for your post :(. I too thought it might be a bit too early for her to realize who Raja is but this will move the story forward, I guess.

Thank you for the detailed explanation. I did watch those episodes but nothing like a refresher :)
And I don't think Rani holds Raja responsible for Lakhan's death, she just wants to clear the misunderstanding.

The only change would be that Rani will understand his situation rather than reprimand him and will make him see sense (maybe!) but if he finds out who she is, he is gonna literally hate her. Right now he is indifferent about her. Hope he figures out this when he has fallen deeply in love with her and has no way out. So his hatred wont be able to stand long too.
