Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani: Will Gayatri be able to prevent Ranaji's marriage with Rajeshwari?

Though grapevine is abuzz about how the show is going to go off-air, there is wedding drama in store for the viewers
There seem to be no end to the marital woes in Ranaji (Siddhant Karnick) and Gayatri's (Drashti Dhami) life. As of now, we are seeing that preparations for Ranaji's wedding to Rajeshwari (Anjum Fakih) are in full swing. She also is sparing no efforts to make life hell for Gayatri. On the wedding day, she will tell her to dress up Ranaji to rub salt to her wounds. However, he seeing Gayatri's grief will lock her up in a room so that she does not have to endure that torture. Gayatri will be heartbroken yet hoping for a method to end this marriage.
In the coming episodes, we will see Rani Maa (Anita Raaj) and Gayatri (Drashti Dhami) looking for clues to resolve the matter. They will find a bullet. Gayatri will take it and reach the mandap just before Ranaji takes the final phera with Rajeshwari. However, Badi Rani Maa (Surekha Sikri) will have a ploy to prove Gayatri wrong. This will infuriate Ranaji who will reportedly get married to Rajeshwari.
There is buzz that Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani will go off-air in March. Though the makers have been introducing twists, they have not been able to retain the audience's interest. The maximum TRP was around 2.2 for the show.
A love story set in 1940s, Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani is one of the most expensive productions on TV. Right from the sets to the costumes, everything is on a grand scale. However, people have not been able to relate to the characters. We are hoping that a strong love track between Gayatri and Ranaji might revive matters.
