Swarna aka Priya Tandon!

In Friday's episode, Swarna had exactly one dialogue.

She spoke of how people with black hearts would find their faces blackened too!

Yet, there was so much meaning and angst that she invested into that one line. It could have been as much about her in laws and her husband or indeed anyone else!

A good actor can make his/her presence felt with a single line or expression!

In Priya Tandon's case, more than all the scenes that were technically hers, a few other moments that should have been rightfully lost in the melee stood out for me!

I loved the inebriated Swarna who defiantly flirted with a guest at the party, the Swarna who sagely advised RNJ to patient with his wife before quickly dismissing her bruises as nothing, the Swarna who recited a poem filled with the angst of unfulfilled passion or biraha to Gayatri, the Swarna who spoke that line on Friday's episode!

Priya Tandon as an actor is clearly a class apart.

Seeing her reduced to offering shocked expressions in the background every now and then is really sad! Surely this actor deserves much more!

For me, even more then the leads, it was characters like Swarna that made this show unique. We've seen angry young man heroes and dreamy, chirpy heroines before after alll! But the story of a princess in the 1940s married to a man with an alternate sexual orientation...what a story it could have been and what has it been reduced to!

Swarna deserves her story to be told. Priya Tandon deserves her talent to be better showcased.

I don't know if either will happen on this show!

Whatever, I really hope Priya gets her due as the fine actor that she is!

Swarna's story had lot of potential and all the actors connected to it, Laksh,Lakhan,Chacha & Chachi made it lot more interesting than the hurried love story of the leads for me. I remember Shruth'si insightful posts on the importance of this character to the main story.

Priya piqued my interest from the word go,when she appeared with the tiara for the party.I wondered, how w'll be her dynamics with Gayathri ?will she have any designs on the King, given her husband's rejection of her? I was pleasantly surprised when she turned out positive and I liked her scenes with both the leads, especially the one where she persuaded G to on the jungle date.

It's this gross injustice done to characters like Swarna,Laksh and Lakhan that annoys me the most. And for what? For two irrelevant half-baked characters that audience rejected week after week.

I hope she can get a better PH that can showcase her talent.

Swarna's story is unique and Priya Tandon is an awesome actress..⭐️wish Cv's focus on Swarna -Laksh story and Gayatri-Swarna relation too.
