Actors!

After reading the update today, I am wondering how the actors actually perform all this rubbish!

It was disgusting even to read. I know they are extremely professional but I seriously hope they are giving their feedback on this disgusting track!

Have read about a couple of actors who put their foot down and told their PH/ creatives that they cannot take this kind of butchering of their characters anymore. Even read of a recent show where one of the MLs quit because he was unhappy with what they were doing!

At the end of the day, it is the call of the actors, what they should or should not do!

However, I wish they are able to raise objections to this kind of crap, register their protest if nothing else!

Exactly bertie!! I mean after seeing this kind of butchering of RNJ and RGD don't they even feel like protesting it?

I mean D is considered as one of the top most actresses of indian telly, and she is asked to act as maid to every tom dick and harry in the show.Isn't it an insult to an actress like her, even though it's a fictional character?

And Sid, as a theater artist he s much experienced in the acting field, by reducing his character to a dumb, useless king , they are even insulting him.

And anita raj, she is a veteran.How can they do this to her?Surekhaji is a national award winner for her acting, isn't it a kind of disrespect to these talented artists?

Yes,there were some really good performances specially Drashti's breakdown (beautifully done) BUT the whole track,the agnipariksha,the lines being mouthed by the characters ,specially the Raajeshwari-Gayatri-Rajmata combo,i totally went blank! Many actors leave because they 'see no character growth." If I'm correct , the guy you mention left because the PH was planning to turn the character negative. Same happened with the FL of the neighbouring show.

Or, it's because they have nothing much to do other than stand around like statues or wait to be called for a one minute shot.

But yes, a majority do stick around even if they are asked to enact inane scenes.

I don't know what compels these actors to hang on. SK is a theatre actor and a very experimental one too. TV acting is not his main interest. I read somewhere that he takes up TV roles when he needs the money. The rest of the time he follows his will. Respect him for that.

DD loves to be occupied and if her occupation allows her to do what she likes to do best, travel, she's all for it.
And, she's stuck through a lot of crap because she wanted to see things through to the end,,,ex...her last two shows, specially the last one.
But, if the cvs keep writing themselves into a corner, nothing will stop these two to bail out...

Their way of facing these mad scenarios is to laugh about it. i think SK does that best. That's probably how that keep their sanity in all this chaos.

Drashti especially will never leave a show mid-way. She'd even once famously commented that she'd not quit her show Madhubala even if she were to get a BW offer! But sometimes I do wish these established veterans would put their foot down firmly when they are being made to enact BS on screen a la Rajeev Khandelwal, Iqbal Khan et al.

I feel we should put constant pressure on the cv's to end these ridiculous, regressive tracks in this present age.

In this age of buy one get one free, RGD is ready to give up what is hers too, lol. Genny, there was a time when people liked abla nari type heroines.But now, even trp janta hates such heroines.The proof is trp top serials,they always have super woman.I don't want RGD to be a super woman, i just want her to have atleast self respect and some sense.😆
