It Is a Period Drama
These days we have mythology - Mahabharat, Siya Ke Ram, historical fiction - Maharana Pratap, Jodha Akbar, Razia Sultan so on and so forth. However, nobody gave us a period drama which focused on the life and times of people during the British era.
Though we have read novels on the same and even watched movies on this topic, watching a period drama on a daily basis is simply phenomenal especially the presentation and the detailing. This is the reason why we are in love with Sphere Origins' Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani.
They Don't Drag It
It is worth appreciating that the makers of the serial Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani do not drag the show like other serials. Here, almost all the track flows in a right direction and ends at a right time. It was interesting to see how Badi Rani Maa was exposed at an appropriate time rather than stretching the whole thing. Even Ranaji didn't take much time to fall for Gayatri, which obviously was good for the viewers.
The Brilliant Star Cast
Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani has a brilliant star cast. From the leading to the supporting casts, all are fantastic when it comes to acting and dialogue delivery. No matter who is on the screen and for how long, the actor ensures that we are entertained throughout. This synchronization is something that keeps us glued to the screens without complaining much about the script and the storyline unlike other serials.
The Sizzling Chemistry of Drashti Dhami and Siddharth Karnick as Gayatri and Ranaji
Drashti and Siddharth look great together. Besides, their chemistry is electrifying and so is their screen presence. Every time they come together, they simply sizzle on screen giving us Relationship Goals.
No wonder, Drashti Dhami is a fab actor and so is Siddharth. We enjoyed watching Drashti in almost all the serials and also all her pairings whether it was with Gurmeet Chaudhary in Geet Hui Sabse Parayi or with Vivian DSena in Madhubala.
The Storyline, and the Plots
The storyline of the serial is interesting where a common girl under weird circumstances marries a King and become his wife. Even the plots shown in the serial is interesting. For instance, the entry of Avdesh and also the Mahabharat angle where Drashti aka Gayatri has to essay the character of Draupadi.
Also, the Cheetah, Swarnlekha and Lakshya story seems to be interesting. Where one is gay, other is a Rajkumari who is forced to sleep with a man to get an heir. However, the rajkumari falls in love with the common man who turns out be her savior.
