Today I won't write scene by scene because the whole episode was a total joke of idiocy...
One scene: Gamble and Alcohol are injurious to intelligence!!!

Game Night

Avdhesh: We will play Chausar.

Rana: But I don't Gamble. Let's play something else.

Kunwar Chacha: What else could be the safest way to ruin you? That's the only game.

Rana: Of course you are right. Who else will I believe but the guy who went to offer his help to Avdhesh to snatch my kingdom from me this morning?

Gayetri: What did I do to deserve this? Oh wait, I married him.

The game starts.

Avdhesh: Let's make a bet.

Rana looks at Gayetri: Can I bet too?

Gayetri (thinks): If I say yes, you will gamble. If I say no, you will blame me for not trusting you and sulk. It's a lose-lose situation with me. At least if I say yes and you lose, you will only have yourself to blame. So yes. Hopefully you will have enough brain to stop while you are ahead.

She nods yes.

Rana: Yeah!!! She said yes.

Avdhesh: OK. Here are the betting terms. If I win, Raj Mata cooks for me. And the loser has to drink alcohol.

Rana looks at Raj Mata.

Raj Mata happily nods.

Rana: That's a fair bet. Let's play on it.

Gayetri (frustrated): OMG. I can't believe your level of stupidity. Why don't you look at me now? Let me clarify the term for your simple brain. If he wins, Raj Mata cooks for him. If you win, then you get to watch him drink. That means you win NOTHING. He made a bet where you will lose regardless if you win or not, you duffer.

The game starts, Rana loses and Avdhesh gets Raj Mata's cooking for a week while making Rana drink.

The game continues.

Gayetri: You drank too much. (The hint is that you are losing every game, you moron).

Avdhesh: Now watch darling. I will say something that is guaranteed to make Rana behave even more stupidly than usual. Rana, pssstt... A man who can't handle drink, can't handle wife.

Rana: I can handle everything. (Drinks some more)

Gayetri (frustrated): God, why don't you do a lightening strike on my husband's head right now? I need proof that it's still there.

Avdhesh: Now watch and learn some more tricks on how to handle idiots. Rana, hey pssttt... I want to see if there's anything left in Amerkot's treasury for you to lose.

Rana: I will get everything out of our treasury and bet on gambling.

Rana goes and takes all money and jewellery out of the locker.

Gayetri runs after Rana: Are you that much of an idiot? He is playing you like a puppet.

Rana (Sulks): He is taunting me. For years my mother has hidden our financial situation from people. I even had to marry you for money.. I want to pay her sacrifice and dedication by gambling everything we own. After all I just got out of your father's debt. I need to go in another debt to balance everything.

Gayetri: Are you even listening to yourself? How can one person be so dumb?

Rana (pouting): Gayetri, you don't trust me. I mean this is a game of chance and everyone knows that everyone wins in game of chance. Don't you remember Mahabharata? Kaurav's won the game.

Gayetri: You idiot, Pandavas lost everything in that game.

Rana: Yes, but we will be Kauravs. I am 100% sure.

Gayetri runs after him and gets stuck.

Avdhesh helps her: Tsk tsk, you got stuck in a really bad situation with a really stupid guy.

Gayetri is pissed off: How cruel can you get? What kind of person fools mentally challenged people, huh?

Avdhesh: What can I do if your husband makes such a tempting sucker and practically begs me to lick him? But unlike your husband, I will listen to you. If you tell me, I will lose the game.

Gayetri: No. Do me a favour and win the game. May be once he loses everything, I will finally have peaceful life with him. Once he is a pauper, no woman will want him just because of his pretty face, no one will bother to kill him, no enemy will make fool out of him. I am stuck with him, but at least we will have peace.

Avdhesh: Okay dokay.

Avdhesh to Rana: I will take pity on you and stop making fool out of you in installments. How about you bet everything you own and I bet nothing since I don't have kingdom or money or wife.

Rana: How dare you?

Gayetri (pleased): Finally the light bulb lights up. Ranaji is finally catching up.

Rana: This is not Mahabharata, I am not Yudhisthir and my wife is not Draupadi. I am insulted that you think that.

He starts to leave.

Avdhesh: Look who is running. Na na na na na!!! I am not running.

Rana comes back: I am not running. I am Rajput. I am going to get everything I own. So that I can gamble all my wordly possession to prove that I have courage.

Gayetri to Rana: Are you mad?

Rana to Gayetri: Don't worry honey. I will only bet on the stuff that has monetary value. You and your opinions have no value. So I won't bet on you.

Rana to Avdhesh: I am insulted that you think I am Pandavas. They lost everything. I am Kauravs. I am going to win everything.

Avdhesh: What a moron!!!

Gayetri (sighing): Great!!! I might as well call my dad to arrange for a room. He wanted his daughter to be a queen, now he will get a King as Ghar-jamai.

Precap: Rana loses the game...

Best Scene: Commercial Break

On a more thoughtful note, today's episode made me think the definition of manhood.

Throughout the history, there are numerous example of men fighting war, making costly decision, even getting ruined to prove their manhood. But there is no example in history (at least that I can remember) where a woman had done anything to prove their femininity.

Does it mean femininity is so strong and ingrained within women that they never feel the need to prove it and masculinity is so shallow that men have to prove it constantly by showing force, power or stupidity? Think about it!!!

Woman usually just have the ability to think ahead about multiple things. And it works even more accurate once being tested. By the time a man gets it, he is already tricked.
The whole game was just as logical as you wrote it.

If a woman gambles, she gambles because she wants to win something very badly - be it love, money, power or revenge... Not to prove anything to anyone. That's why they calculate the risk vs. probability of winning and don't take unnecessary chances.

Men also sometimes gamble for the same reason. But when a man gamble to prove themselves or their manhood, they become reckless and don't calculate risk vs. reward or pay attention to winning terms vs. losing terms. That gets worse when they trust the person they are gambling against because that means they let down their guard and caution. And that's when they make stupid decisions.

Be it a game or any other competition, when you are playing against someone, until the end of the game you are each other's opponent. You both want the same thing - to win the challenge. So until the end, you should do everything you can (except cheating) to win. Once the game is over, you can resume your normal friendly relationship. But while the game or competition is on, the person against you is not your buddy. A true sportsman doesn't let the competition suffer because of friendship and doesn't let the friendship suffer because of competition.

Great view as usual!

Loved Gayatri's comments...oh wait I married him!
And cruel to fool mentally challenged!

😆😆

I think women are instinctive just like Gayatri..the feeling they get about a person or a situation apart from the pro n cons is important when they take a decision.

Don't know if men think the same way!

👏

Bold part is exactly the way Gayatri is written. The rest of the post is also very true. Its impossible to win from a well prepared cheater when you play fair. So next step is to surprise Advesh with an upreared challenge. Don't give him the time to prepare himself. Give him a sword and start a random fight in the garden for example

Gayatri just approved of the game because losing Ameerkot was the worst case scenario, and she knew that. They can always get it back afterwards.

I think by then, Gayetri has realized that just like BRM situation, she won't be able to show Rana the truth about Avdhesh unless she lets him get fleeced by him. She knows that if he stops him today, then a. He will again blame her not trusting him and b. Avdhesh will come up with another idea to fleece him but then he won't listen to her because he will be upset with her.

However, if she says yes, at the most Rana will be proper but a. He will see just how good a friend Avdhesh is and b. He won't be able to blame her for this situation as she tried to stop him from gambling further.

Today, I didn't see Gayetri and Rana as the king and queen. If you have ever been to Alcohol Addiction meetings, couples who are going through or had gone through Alcohol addiction talk about their experience. And while it's sad to hear the stories from the Alcoholics' perspective, it's heart-breaking to hear the story from their family members' perspective. It's a helpless feeling to watch your life falling apart from in front of you and you can't do anything about it. There are also gambling addiction meetings with same scenarios.

I felt so sorry for Gayetri. I could see how helpless she felt when Rana decided to gamble on their future without consulting with her.

I think Rana's characters would have been redeemed if he had said to Avdhesh (when he asks how much money Amerkot's treasury has), "Amerkot's treasury is not there for the King to gamble. It's there for its people so that we can help them in need. A king has responsibility towards his people. If he can't bet on his mother, his wife, his sister; he also can't bet on his kingdom and its people. Because that's like betting on his motherland and a motherland is as much loved as one's own mother."

There's nothing that could have prevented him from gambling with peanuts or pennies. Everyone has played cards with matchsticks or pennies. The game and the competition is there but the risk is low because the game is for pleasure. If he doesn't want to stake his entire kingdom on a game of chance, how can his honour be questioned? In fact it's the other way around, there's no honour in gambling one's life away.

But of course, CVs had to completely butcher the character. This is not the character I liked at the beginning of the show. In fact, I no longer find anything worth admiring in this character.
