He was being an emotional fool, BRM manipulated him saying I'm sauteli, I'm not loved, so he entrusted her his most precious thing "Gayatri"!! to prove her that he trusts her and that she will take good care of Gayatri just the way she took good care of him, little does he know that it was a bad move obviously, a decision which wasn't taken from mind!!!

The normal thing would have been him personally taking care of Gayatri, calling a psychiatrist, bringing someone that Gayatri trusts and loves and gets well along with : Swarna for example!
and how her real family (Seths) are always kept in darkness, they never know what happens with their daughter!!! (maybe he doesn't want to bother them but still when things are serious, the family should know, it's their right:)

Another point, if he thinks Gayatri wants to hurt BRM, why send the latter to her!!! for both the ladies he should not have taken this decision

Anyways Ranaji's brain is overpowered by his emotions!! it has always been the case most of the time! it's been a long time since we have seen an intelligent move from his part, last was kidnapping Chacha to know the truth about Gayatri's accident, and I liked him in the first episodes when he solved the water tax problem and when he wasn't fooled by Kunwar Chacha, I wish we can see more of that!

I was not as upset with Rana's lack of thinking as I was upset about the slap. It is NEVER, at any circumstances acceptable for a husband to physically assault his wife. And yes, even a slap is physical assault. If it is not acceptable at any circumstances for a wife to slap her husband, the same rule applies to bthe husband. I don't care if this is period drama, they should have maintained the dignity of the characters.

Forget husband as a King will not he first investigate before jumping the gun on either of them ! Gayatri is " mentally unstable" not him so what prompted him to slap her . He could have dragged her into confinements just like that ! Like u stated & I still believe he is not even close to loving Gayatri , n m not comparing Gayatri's unconditional selfless love versus his selfish self where always he wants to have the cake & eat it too attitude is ingrained in him !!! this is stemming from the basic fact that he TRUSTS the entire Universe barring Gayatri . And proven time n again first Wilkinson , then swayed by Chacha Chachis as they were bitching about commoner Gayatri n finally his beloved Badi Rani Maa . He has a LONG way to fall in love ... he can stand for his own family just like that but for Gayatri ... the girl has to prove her innocence or love time n again . Disappointed in cvs but then I guess Terrible Rated Plots = TRPs are the deciding factors for Zee & makers so much that manhandling the FL starting from BRM trying to stab her to getting slapped by Rana to Rana being reduced to puppet for long is the main crux of the plot

Raanaji is just a puppet

He has no decision making power of his own.

He has no quality what so ever to become a King

A king is never as dumb as Raanaji 🤢

His trust in BRM doesn't change the how he makes decision.

yes that is correct
